  1. So wait, Bri does not have enough votes to get voted out?
  2. Exactly. I am now only monitoring the recaps of the live feeds to determine how the animals are being treated. The show runners are a-holes for allowing Bri to stay on with the abusive actions that she has admitted to and what has been seen live on the feeds.
  3. My tweets are finally starting to show up. I warned them that people are starting to call sponsors. They can do whatever they want. They should just boot her for the abuse. It is so simple. https://twitter.com/UtopiaPioneer/status/515618127187804160
  4. Just got a great idea from Green in the media thread. Email/call the SPONSORS! If anyone knows or remembers who has advertised on the show we can create a list. It cannot hurt. Attacking this from all sides may get the animals treated the right way.
  5. OMG- why didn't I even consider this? If we email/call the SPONSORS about the animal abuse, and if they threaten to walk, the show will have no choice but to fix the situation or stop it all together. I have not watched any of the broadcasts since the first week, does anyone know of the sponsors at all? If anyone can make a list or remember, I will compile email/phone lists and place them in the official Animal thread.
  6. I did my master's & doctoral dissertation (until I switched to a different topic) in the area of sexual abuse and I would agree that Bri probably has some issues there. These are very complex issues and she is probably not totally aware of why she feels the way that she does. It is a knee jerk reaction/coping skill for her. HOWEVER, the stats also indicate that @1 out of 3 women and 1 out of 4 men (other clinicians say it is even more) have been abused at least once in their lives and do NOT going around purposely trying to hurt animals. Bri is broken and for those factors alone, she MUST go. Generally speaking ALL of these shows has a psychologist(s) to vet the contestants, etc.... If I can find out who, then that person's license is at risk if they allow a truly disturbed person to continue in this manner. This might be another way of going at the animal issue. Bri MUST go. I hate Aaron too and I think that Bella should not be there as well, but for the sake of the animals. Bri must go first (for her own sake as well). 4leafclover Interesting how NONE of those links are working anymore. I wonder why. Production? Can anyone see those tweets?
  7. Agree with all of the above. I appears to me that Tweets seem to REALLY chafe at the show runner. So, if people are so inclined to tweet at him or them, then please do so. I know that others have stated that they received curt tweets back from production and (in my view) that is good because it means they are getting the messages AND they don't like it, so maybe they will be moved to do the right thing. I am going to tweet today (I am just learning how), that I REFUSE to watch the actual TV show until they fix the animal situation. Therefore they get no + ratings from me watching. I rely on the descriptions of the live feeds. I won't even watch the live feeds until they fix the mess. Keep the pressure up guys. Bri needs to go!
  8. Don't say that you are over 50 on that survey- instant rejection!
  9. Not sure why my tweet doesn't show up on their official "list", (curious...) but here is a link. https://twitter.com/riverheightsnan/status/515631561052815360
  10. My comment on Twitter is not showing because I am having issues getting activated. It is the same user name as here, so you will know it is mine.
  11. They could earn money by having Bri do things suggested by viewers! Let's have her try rocking to sleep an overly full baby! Projectile vomit! Let the future Utopian pup have tummy upsetting chili (not spicy or harmful-but you know how dogs will eat anything) and she has to pick up the poop! Messy! Can you imagine the horror that she would experience at all that real life? It is irrational how invested I have become in the live feeds and I should know better.
  12. Yes, I heard that she was not gentle (the word force feeding was used), however, I do not know how hard it is to feed a farm animal when they are not hungry. I really dislike her.
  13. From the thread at Joker's I know for a fact that Red got up at 4 am to feed the calf. From everything I have heard, he is trying very hard to follow the vets directions. It may be that other's want to feed the calf early (because that is easier for their schedules) and he is making them wait for the prescribed time. Red was also insistent that they milk Betsy (I think) till dry this am, because she was bursting with milk and the others wanted to stop early as usual. He has been very attentive according to the thread at Joker's.
  14. I have been reading here and at Joker's to keep up with the feeds and I have to wonder, if they vote out Red, what will happen to the animals? None of these people are going to take care of them like he is. I seriously want Bri, Chris or Mike gone. Chris, especially after what he did to Bri, but Bri first preferably. I think that if we were rid of her, the dynamic might change a lot. I am also wondering if Mike has considered trying to sell Amanda's baby and about the "naming" rights? I wonder if he has already thought about how much he could get for an infant? I wouldn't put it past him. He is such a pig, along with Chris AND Bri. And Aaron. AND Taylor. I never thought that I would get to the day that Red is on the top of my like list with Bella a second (completely out of pity-she should NOT be on this show due to her seeming mental lability).
  15. I have to ask the dairy farm people on here or if the feedsters heard the Vets say anything about this. Did they say anything at all about why the cow had the calf early? Stress? I know that the due date is fluid. But, I was wondering if their care played any part in it?
  16. I just voted for Bri. I will see if I can sign-up in other places as well. She NEEDS to go. She is a danger to other humans and the animals.
  17. I cannot understand for the life of me, comprehend the things that Bri says. (I mean I do understand, because she is seriously so screwed up, but to have no self-awareness or regulation at all, she is just the absolute worst). In my professional opinion, she is a narcissist with sociopathic tendencies. Whoever said that she would be the type of mom who would harm her own child to get attention, is so totally on my wave length (factitious disorder-formerly Munchausen's). The things that she has said about Bella is just unreal. If people actually KNEW what was being said, these things are threats of assault. I am glad to hear that the vets WATCH. These idiots never learn. Red has redeemed himself in my eyes. I will vote my fingers into nubs to get rid of Bri or Mike.
  18. OMG, I am so stressed just reading this thread. i cannot imagine those of you watching this mess. Christ. Please production take the animals away and let them destroy themselves for all I care.
  19. "ETA: Previously, during the vet visit, Red whispered to someone (camera was on something else) that Bri was feeding the cows 1/2 cup of grain twice a day, but he has secretly been adding 3 more cups of grain to each feeding and that is why they are so low on feed. I only hope he was whispering this to the vets." If this is true, and Red did this on his own, then he really can do very little wrong in my eyes at this point in time. Red is one of those contradiction people. I think that he does best when not having to socialize too much with too many people (& I seriously cannot believe that I am saying this). He gets up early and does what needs to be done. Plus, the accounts of him talking to the cows and working with the chickens sound very, very, sweet. A person who is kind to animals has some redeeming qualities even if they have flaming asshole moments at other times. Bri, on the other hand, can die in a fire for all I care. Red has a fan in me, if this stuff is true.
  20. 1) Pot? 2) Pharmaceutical intervention? 3) He lives in his own private Idaho? 4) Production plant? 5) Dissociative Identity Disorder (AKA multiple personality disorder)? 6) He is Red? 7) He is in Myopia?
  21. I teach and have taught at colleges/universities for the last 12 years. It really depends on the school regarding cancellation, and the union contract or instructor contract that you have signed. Some of my schools may run a class with 5, others need 8-12 to make bank (cover their overhead). Same deal for online classes, unless you get paid by the head, in those cases they always run unless you have zero students (I teach for one school that pays by the head). However, for grad school, upper level courses, and classes required for majors, there may be different limits. If a specific course is required for a major to graduate and a student is the only one signed up, then they may be forced to run it. This is especially true if the student needs it to graduate and graduation is imminent, or if the course is not offered very often (say every other year). The school may have to run it and lose money. (depending on one's contract, sometimes the course will be changed to a directed/guided study and it meets at a designated time for the student/prof, often for less pay, unless you are tenured, which may not change anything-it is ALL about your contract). I think this is why many of the tenured profs will teach upper level courses and grad courses, there are often less students and those courses will run regardless of class number, because they MUST offer it for the majors. It is less work, higher level students, more relaxed. On the other hand, those low level intro courses often have hundreds of students with a newer/younger (in terms of where you are career wise-not necessarily age) instructor and they make their nut on those courses. You would think that schools would want their most experienced instructors teaching those large intro courses (I know that there are exceptions to this), however, often they are the newbies, to learn and "cut their teeth", so to speak. At one school I know of, a high-level, tenured, very experienced instructor teaches 1 class a semester. It is a 250-300 student intro class in my discipline. He makes his entire salary on that ONE course a semester. It is a lot of work and he has 2 TAs. From what I have heard about the course, it is great. Innovative (with technology), forward thinking, engaged. That is hard to do with that many students, but is possible. With all that said, Sheldon would suck as an instructor. He has no training in new educational/engagement techniques. No real desire to teach (it can be really thankless). Education is changing, my friends. It is no longer just lecture and rote memorization anymore.
  22. Very glad to hear that the locals are talking about the animals as well. I wish that I lived on the West Coast so that I could do one of their tours and take them to task for all of it. Does anyone know if the section of video where Bri says that she has been feeding the cows less has been duplicated on YouTube by any chance? I could point the ASPCA to it, if so. Posters in the regular thread have indicated that the tweets really piss off production. I actually think that method has been the most productive in getting the animals the attention. Last time I went into a tirade, I sent emails to ALL of the TV stations, perhaps it is time to do that again?
  23. I care and I want to know what happens! I appreciate your types ups! I don't get the live feeds!
