  1. Shona's comment at the end of yesterday's episode has me worried that Stephen will be killing his mother next. If he had been smart, he should have just knocked off his ex-wife.
  2. Those scenes with Carly and Drew did make me think that it must be time for Jason to make his return. Like the day after they sleep together, Jason waltzes back into town. What would Carly do then? I don't really think it'll happen, but THAT is what soaps always do, right?
  3. And Dorothy Atkinson (Lady Frances Pye) played her sister-in-law in "Mum."
  4. Good grief. I recognized Matthew Beard right away from Vienna Blood (and kept wondering if there will be another season), but didn't put Conleth Hill as they man who played his father. Just thought he looked familiar.
  5. Agree. Guess it's supposed to add some humor and insight to the character's thoughts. But it seemed overdone. They're doing the same thing in "The Serpent Queen" on Starz and I don't like it there either.
  6. A couple months back, when I was watching old ATWT episodes, I was surprised when Lynn Herring turned up playing Henry Coleman's mother. Her movements and speech pattern were EXACTLY as she plays Lucy. And I found it very annoying.
  7. Anyone know how to delete "continue watching" programs on Peacock? Seems you don't always know when episodes on Days have ended--especially when you aren't playing close attention (LOL). It goes to commercials and comes back with the credits that sometimes don't last long enough to successfully exit the episode. Then, it immediately loads a different program. Right now, Beyond Salem and S1, E1 of Murder She Wrote are listed in my "continue watching." PLUS, because I watched an episode of The Voice on Peacock (that the DVR didn't record), the following episodes just keep showing up, It's not a big deal, I guess, but I want them gone. Don't think I like how this platform is structured.
  8. I hope the writers don't think people will root for Chas and that slimeball Al to get together. So now she's going to run away with Al,, taking Paddy's child away from him? How would she feel if Paddy did that to her? Any sympathy I may have had for Chas having to come to terms with losing her Mother is lost. I CANNOT WAIT for the truth to come out. I so want Aaron to spill it.
  9. Your comment made me think of Guiding Light's Marian Crane storyline from the 90s. Marian Crane was actually Brent Lawence who worked at Spaulding Enterprises. He was obsessed with Lucy Cooper who was dating Alan Michael. Brett raped Lucy, then disguised himself as Marian so he could stay close to her. Marian eventually killed 3 people so his secret wouldn't be revealed. Perhaps it will turn out that Rory after all.
  10. It certainly became pretty obvious it was him during the episode. My memory is mush anymore, so for the life of me I cannot figure what Clyde's motive would be. For a split second I thought maybe he was setting up Leo as a cover for Ben killing Abigail.
  11. Except Mrs. Wu is involved with Curtis and his club. This is bound to come out at some point (many, many months from now), I can see it throwing a monkey wrench in Chase being re-instated because of his "involvement with the mob." Though, maybe it could go the other way round and, because he's working at the club, he'll overhear something about Wu's organization tand report it to Jordan, leading to him getting his job back. Nah......that will never happen.
  12. I've never been a fan of the actress playing Kelly. I know A LOT of people thinks she's a great actress. I just don't. Don't like her the way she delivers her lines, the breathing she does, starts nearly every sentence with "Ermm" Would like to see her in a different role to see if she uses the same "acting ticks."
  13. 1st thing that entered my mind when they appeared on the screen together. Last week, I finished watching old ATWT episodes on YT. Began during the COVID "lockdown" in May 2020 with 1985 eps. (Holden/Lily golden days). Took short breaks now and then, but it was mostly an very enjoyable 2 yrs. watching 25 yrs. of a wonderful soap (things started going downhill around 2005. Roger and Maura were so good (and young!)
  14. As I watched his scenes today all I could think was I doubt NC will be on this show much longer. He was absolutely amazing. I bet some producer out there is going to get wind of his talent and offer him a role on a night-time series. And he won that Emmy. Just like Kelly come to think of it.
  15. I think this is the nail in the coffin for this show. So many viewers have been watching for years and years (and years). Which means, like me, they're no spring chickens. And many may not be able to afford a streaming service. Luckily, I have Peacock with my cable package. I'm already paying for 5 streaming channels (Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Britbox and Acorn) and that's enough for me. I wouldn't subscribe to Peacock just to watch 1 program.
  16. I swear, this show. With a mad Dr. living in the tunnel and bringing people back from the dead it won't be long until Barnabas Collins sets up his coffin in the tunnel next to him.
  17. That scene was SO, SO bad. I'm starting to think Drew had a brain transplant when he was being held prisoner. This man is NOT Drew Cain. No way, no how. That's on the writer's. But CM continues to act like he's still in a Hallmark movie. And LW needs to stop with that annoying giggling.
  18. I couldn't believe that about 1 or 2 scenes before Portia brought it up, I was wondering why the writers didn't have someone bring it up.
  19. That guy sitting at the bar had me in stitches. He was the best part of the episode.
  20. I just watched a clip from yesterday's episode on FB with Brad and Brooklyn. He asks her if she has seen the GIF of Britt. She laughs and says she has and mentioned that Brad kept refilling Britt's drink (causing her to get drunk). Brad tells her that he was the one who took the video and that he sent the GIF of Britt to an "infuencer." So, Brad intentionally set Britt up? (If this is true, WTH!!!) Was Cody part of a plan to embarrass Britt and potentially get her fired from GH? Was Brad acting at the behest of his Aunt? Or did he do this on his own as a way to impress her? Is this why Brad asked Mrs. Wu to give him more to do in the organization? (I was going to suggest that maybe Mrs. Wu is working with Cyrus to get Britt fired, but I'm sure I'm overthinking all this.)
  21. I don't like this Suzy character or the Leyla plotline. Seemed to come out of nowhere. Have only been watching Emmerdale for 4-5 years, but it seems very out of character for Leyla to all of a sudden be doing drugs. She's always seemed very together and business driven. Even when she was dealing with Liam's grief and his rejection of her during that time, doing drugs seem like the last thing she'd do.
  22. I've been a Country Music fan for a number of years, but don't follow it as much these days because I don't care for the current "trend" with many "artists" sounding exactly the same., including the country songs being written. I think Noah and Hunter Girl sound no different than what's out there in country music right now. So, of the two, I prefer Noah as the winner because he is what American Idol was originally meant to be about: finding a singer who is green, with little exposure. And if he/she is down to earth, humble and from small town all the better. That's Noah to a T. Apparently, Hunter has been performing in Nashville clubs for while is certainly more polished. And that MAY have been why Noah won. (In addition to being a young, fairly attractive guy with an adorable baby!) I don't know though. His lack of emotion when he was called the winner made me wonder if he was going to thank his best friend for encouraging him to audition. Think it finally dawned on him what he's gotten himself into. Not sure he's really hungry enough for success/fame. Hope he has someone that can help him make the right choices and not take advantage of his inexperience.
  23. Of course she does. She's Claire Elizabeht Beacham Randall Frasier!!!
  24. Leyla sure is looking guilty. I'm thinking that the cocaine may have been hers. A wild night with the new woman in the village (whose name I don't care enough about to remember) perhaps?
  25. I know how I feel about multi-eliminations. I hate it. I don't know how they can fix it because they've already cut about 6 weeks from the length of the season. But once they get to the top 10 there should be one elimination per week, the finale of the top 3. I don't know how long these Monday night shows are going, but it makes me wonder why they didn't use it for the elimination reveal and give viewers more time to vote.
