  1. Those scenes were like a breath of fresh air together. Rena and Maurice really clicked. Wonder if they had that same chemistry back in the day.
  2. With that huge secret between them, I think it would have been more interesting (if that's possible) to keep Rishi alive when Amit came to town.
  3. Exactly what came to my mind as I watched the today's scenes with Kevin. Spencer just wants a stable family life and he thinks he can have that with his brother. I see a battle coming with Esme. I sure hope it doesn't lead to Spencer deciding to promise Esme they'll be together just as a way to keep Ace in his life. I was afraid that poor baby was going to start crying each time Nicholas interacted with him. He should tone that down a bit; that poor kid looked scared to death a couple of times.
  4. Martin could have threaten the twerp back. Did he forget he has a brother named Cyrus? "Sonny comes after me, Cyrus will go after him." Don't think Martin is aware that Cyrus would love to oblige.
  5. Can SOMEONE PLEASE turn the tables on Michael and let Sonny find out how his "son" hired Dex to gather damaging information on him so he could be thrown in jail? Is it too much to ask that when Michael plays that tape, Sonny just shrugs and says "Well Carly is guilty of insider trading."
  6. I hated it with the 1st scene on Friday. Today's episode just confirmed it. That wasn't Theresa that got off the plane with Brady and Tate. What we got was Gwen in a horrific blonde wig. I like the actor playingTate, BTW. Even though it appears he's going to be a grown up Rachel.
  7. If they wanted the actress to take on a different character (and I hate the idea), the least they could do is put a decent wig on her head.
  8. Wonder if someone thought to pick up the syringe from the floor so it can be used as evidence. But this is the PCPD so I'm not holding out hope.
  9. OMG, I'm done. THANKS for my laugh for the day!!!!!!
  10. I hope Curtis was the target too so Portia can choke on her words. Has anyone speculated that Ms. Wu had Curtis shot so she could take over the club? That may too simple an explanation, but I like it all the same.
  11. If Cyrus is the big-baddie behind all of the business with Mason/Austin/Ava, is it possible that HE passed the false information Sonny planted to the FBI--and that's the evidence the FBI is counting on to put Sonny away for life? If so, they're in for a big surprise.
  12. Good Lord, I won't be surprised if Nicholas has amnesia from getting clocked on the head.
  13. I was able to watch the episode (next Monday's) before it was pulled. I knew immediately that something was wrong since the synopsis of the show didn't match what was on my screen. That age combination is wild! I guess the reveal at the end was supposed to surprising. Actually, I've been expecting it for some time.
  14. I liked him too. I've been watching old OLTL episodes and I don't mind him as Rex. The person that drives me crazy is Scott Clifton as Skylar. He's like Rex on speed. He just went to prison and I was thrilled to see the back of him. I read an article JPL did recently where he said that he was suprised to be asked back since they got rid of him before. He was originally only going to do a few episodes, but they kept extending them-- think it ended up being around 13 shows. So, the powers that be must have been pleased with him.
  15. I've definitely noticed it. I have Netflix, HBO, Starz, Showtime, etc. so I watch A LOT of shows with A LOT of sex, not to mention inappropriate language. So, I don't think I'm a prude. But, I really don't want to see my soaps be so explicit. Sometimes Leo's dialogue makes me cringe. And I'm still not over the 3-way with Allie, Alex and Chanel.
  16. Oh, I do. When Austin mentioned that Cyrus "visited," I thought OK, here we go--Cyrus and mom were having an affair. Austin never referred to Cyrus as "Uncle." But he paid for Ausin's schooling/medical school. Why? Seems to me that he wouldn't do unless he was his father. If it turns out that he is, Austin will be Laura's nephew. Good grief.
  17. I whole series has been dragging for me for the past few years. I came across the show on Prime the other day and decided to start back at the beginning. What a difference. What we're seeing now is nothing like the original concept for the show. Of course, Ned Gowan was the big baddie back then and many of the characters are long gone. But they were REAL. Now everyone is just so darn NICE. Even Elizabeth is nothing like she is now. And she had better hair! LOL.
  18. I'm not sure availability had anything to do with it. When they tried to get her in Season 4 (I think that's the season), there were scheduling problems. But at that time, she also said that she wasn't interested in playing an older Jenny. I do wonder if they asked her to return for Season 7 or, based on that comment, just went with a recast.
  19. I recently read an interview with Maril Davis where she said that when they started filming Season 7, they believe it was going to be the last. They didn't get word of renewal for 1 more season until half of 7 had been filmed. Scripts had already been written, though they did make some adjustments to what was already scripted--such as how to end the season (the plan had been to end as Book 8 ended). With a Season 8, they will cover some material from Book 8 and Book 9. So, I blame Starz, not the showrunner(s), for the pace of Season 7.
  20. Apparently, Bernice is leaving soon. So guess that won't happen. Unless you want Bob to go with her. I'd be OK with that, actually.
  21. I drives me nuts when someone come across a clue or something important and then just stand around talking about it instead of taking immediate action. Lani's supposed to be a cop and should have tried to call the PD or Rafe immediately. THEN she could have had the conversation with her Dad. John and Steve also should have contacted the PD as soon as they saw Jerry had left.
  22. I didn't start watching OLTL until I retired in 2010 and loved it. Recently, I started watching 2007-2008 episodes on You Tube. This show was SO GOOD. I'm baffled how Ron could write such riveting storylines back then and be writing such crap on Days now. The decided Ron must be writing Days to pay homage to the old soaps from radio days with the stilted dialogue--and the acting is pretty much in the same vein.
  23. Thanks! I totally missed the significance.
  24. And now Kaheroton asking Ian to take care of Emily and "his son" if he died in the duel makes sense. He had to know Swiftest of Lizards wasn't his child.
