  1. While there are cases where I think a co-sponsor is warranted--you've been abroad like Chelsea of Chelsea and Yamir was and you have a genuine relationship but no US income because you haven't lived there in a while--in Nicole's case, it would be super easy for her parents to shut this down. They could say, "OK, you're in love with a Moroccan, but prove you're capable of supporting him in the US by getting a job that would satisfy the financial requirements of the K1." DaNicole would probably find someone closer to home then. But then again, debt-ridden Danielle managed to find someone to help her sponsor Moho. I don't think Jorge is trans because I'm sure they have had sex if Jorge put down $70,000 already. Maybe she doesn't know his money comes from weed? He looks to me mostly like he has an overadundance of estrogen from being fat.
  2. I'm surprised Brett and Daya are going to be on this because I thought they were one of the couples who complained about how TLC portrayed them originally. Faith is definitely the only one with brains in that family. The next season of 90 Day Fiance should feature Bev and Faith as couples' counselors.
  3. I thought Loren was saying Alexei told *his* mother. Whatever it is, it gets worse from stress, so maybe some kind of autoimmune disorder? But an eating disorder would make sense too.
  4. I don't think it would be an issue in California. From what I've observed from people I know, it's not easy for straight people, either. I was raised Orthodox, and it's never on census forms and people generally aren't familiar with it, so it's not surprising to me that people would get mixed up, haha. The preschool that they showed her daughter going to is also Orthodox, I think.
  5. Jenny and her husband are Greek Orthodox. I agree that it sounded more like her mom was freaked out about surgery/being put under. I agree about adoption, but sadly, adopting a child is not easy and can take a long time. Jeff and Gage have even mentioned on this show that they tried to adopt but it kept on falling through.
  6. I hope that they've finally given Artem someone he'll actually be able to stay on the show with for a decent amount of time.
  7. This week's episode was kind of boring, but next week looks AMAZING. I didn't like how Cary and Mark seem to fight through their daughter. Once Mark gets bored of treating Cary like a mannequin, I don't see them lasting very long.
  8. Bam also still lives in the same part of PA. I'm from the same area, and it's actually the wealthiest county in the state and really, really nice. He bought a house that is in a more rural area than the township he grew up in, but he still is in the general West Chester area. He owned a club in town for a while that was cool (and I saw him there at the bar), but I guess with all his issues it led him to sell it.
  9. I like what Carole said in her blog about Jules's old/new money comment. You can find her wedding announcement easily and her and Michael's bios certainly don't read "old money" to me. Maybe she just thinks "old money" means Michael has been rich longer than Bethenny.
  10. Bam's PA accent wasn't exaggerated before--I'm from the same town and it's just how a lot of people talk there. I had the accent when I was really little but my non-PA native parents would point it out and make me speak with a standard accent. Anyway, you can barely hear his accent now for all the slurring. :( I think he really only went downhill like that after Ryan Dunn's death, though.
  11. Derick could easily get a job teaching English. I know people who don't have a college degree at all who do it. All they really care about is that you're a native speaker.
  12. I have the same measuring cups as Sierra and now I hate myself.
  13. I'm surprised he let the chance to say, "This is the china pattern my ex-wife and I picked out" slip away.
  14. Boscovs is a regional department store. It is probably in the same price range as Sears, though. They are always having good sales and have a lot of sheets and things. I hope Nikki was convincing him to replace the Zebra.
  15. She just doesn't want to move, it seems. I also feel like Loren is the kind of girl who would wilt away without American stuff. She wants things a certain way and she wants to be able to have the things she wants. She didn't even want to give Alexei closet space--she wouldn't give up what she's used to.
  16. She's way too short to have even considered modeling herself. She probably did want to be an actress, mistaking people telling her she is a dramatic for talent in the dramatic arts. I think she just wanted to show off how "delicious" he is, though.
  17. ^lol @ being "nice" as enough to move someone to tears :) Mama Fernando, you have set the bar low!
  18. It's not just being selfish and not wanting to live where your foreign spouse resides. You also have to think about things like health care, overall quality of life, education for your potential future children, etc. Many European countries would beat the United States in this regard, but not a country like the Philippines. Or you have aging family members, an established career in the U.S., etc. I live and work overseas now, but I don't want to raise my (potential) kids here. It's not always the default choice--I actually do know many people who went the opposite route. But they often have the money to send their kids to international schools and have started their own businesses here, etc., and live a lifestyle that is far above what an average person experiences. I just have a normal job :) If you have the choice to live a life and give your children a life that will be more comfortable, why wouldn't you make that choice?
  19. So you think that Americans who would want to marry someone who isn't a U.S. citizen don't deserve to raise their families and live their lives in the United States? You want to marry someone from England or Japan--don't let the door hit you on the a** on the way out? Also it's not easy to immigrate anywhere--but all of the countries I'm familiar with have some sort of protocol for allowing families to remain intact. If I married my Russian boyfriend, I could apply for permanent residency and then be eligible for citizenship, and I would be able to skip the quota that others are subject to. The UK has visas for partners and you don't even have to be married to eligible. Pretty much every single country has a way for families to be together. I do kind of side-eye the mail-order bride kind of marriages... But they do work out sometimes, even some of ones with big age differences, so eh. And the difference between the U.S. and many other countries is that it can be very difficult for people to get a visitor's visa to the U.S. The K1 visa is indeed a way around that. The process that exists in many countries of coming to the country on a different kind of visa and then applying for permanent residency through your spouse isn't something that would be possible for a large number of American+International couples--look at all the parents whose visas were denied on the show and they couldn't come to the wedding. So the U.S. has K1 and spousal visas to make up for it.
  20. ^she would have used a different tone of voice if that were the case. I think she was being serious--not that she was going out and doing blow and sleeping with random guys, but that her brain has been warped to make her feel like her past makes her less worthy.
  21. I liked the bestie even less than I liked Loren, which says a lot.
  22. The only people I've heard of are Mama June and Sugar Bear. I don't know if it would pay better than Couples Therapy; I feel like VH1 is a bigger channel and thus the payout would be greater. I thought last season was mostly okay but the activities were monotonous. I hope they at least shake it up a bit this season.
  23. I don't really see what much else they can do. Lengthening the process won't change anything.
  24. It struck me as odd when he was talking on skype to his family and his dad said something like his brother was crying and Alexei was all "he's having a nervous breakdown!" Maybe these two drama queens are really made for each other.
