  1. Yes, it's the Charleston NBC affiliate. I've read articles from several of the local television stations and not one of them refer to him as anything but a reality TV star. I agree with you, that is very strange.
  2. Thomas Ravenel assaulted in downtown Charleston bar, police say. http://counton2.com/2015/09/15/thomas-ravenel-assaulted-in-downtown-charleston-bar-police-say I guess Thomas never heard that old adage, "Nothing good ever happens after midnight." :)
  3. Season 5 Champion Hosea Rosenberg hosted an interesting private event recently. Keep in mind that he's Colorado based. ;) http://www.hightimes.com/read/top-chef-winners-pot-dinner

  9. For those who don't follow what's current in Country, I'd think that this is the video where most would be familiar with Jennifer Nettles.
  10. First Blake and Miranda, and now Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have filed for divorce: http://bigstory.ap.org/urn:publicid:ap.org:308dea6d49b14b9ab61cfae6c43f8425
  11. It would seem that Craig is back in Charleston, or at the very least he was in town last night for the Charleston TweetUp. https://twitter.com/Charlestonion/status/624557529792675840
  12. A bit more info on Sunday's Emanuel AME Benefit in this tweet from Sermet's: https://twitter.com/sermets_/status/621819035622240257 Greeters will be Cameron, Kathryn, Landon, Jennifer, Danni, Shep, Cooper and JD. And Thomas--along with Jennifer and Danni--is among the sponsors covering the full cost of the event so ALL ticket proceeds will go to the AME fund. The staff of Sermet's is also among the sponsors which is incredibly nice considering they're F&B employees and don't exactly have the deep pockets that some of the other sponsors do. Kudos to them. Several of the cast members were also on "Lowcountry Live", a local news/public interest program on the Charleston ABC affiliate, this morning. There's a photo with this tweet from Landon: https://twitter.com/ClementsLandon/status/622057560028352513
  13. ‘Southern Charm’ cast members host Emanuel AME benefit dinner this coming Sunday. http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20150716/PC16/150719494
  14. Hootie and the Blowfish do appear in SC quite often. Hootie Homegrown weekend is upcoming on Aug. 7th and 8th. They'll be performing at the Family Circle Stadium in Charleston on those dates next month. It's an annual thing.
  15. I had seen Roger Rees most recently this past season on the now cancelled "Forever." I loved all of his characters but certainly had a soft spot for Lord John Marbury. :(
  16. Shep attended the Social Media Day #chsyou event last night at Halls Chophouse. Photo at the Twitter link. https://twitter.com/Charlestonion/status/616032722289577984 Cooper linked this article in a tweet earlier today. https://twitter.com/KCooperRayCHS/status/616234173884420096 INTERPERSONAL CLASS STRUGGLE IN BRAVO'S SOUTHERN CHARM https://mishkanyc.com/bloglin/2015/06/25/interpersonal-class-struggle-in-bravos-southern-charm
  17. This adorable little boy has been in my prayers since this senseless act of violence occurred a few weeks ago and now he's suffered a major setback. I'm so glad to see the Southern Charmers have gotten involved. Using their new-found fame for good like this, the Caitlin benefit, the WWP, etc. makes the on-camera drama worthwhile. Kudos to them. http://www.abcnews4.com/story/29308784/southern-charm-cast-creates-gofundme-account-for-tyreik-gadsden
  18. My favorite part of tonight's episode was when Adam called Richard Quest, "Dickie Boy." Hee-hee!
  19. There is also a small town named Ravenel which is about 15-18 miles southeast of Charleston. It's more rural than suburban and has a little over 2,000 residents. If one drives into Charleston on US17 from Interstate 95, you have to pass right through the town.
  20. Maybe you're on to something. Cameron tweeted this during last night's show:
  21. Patricia has gotten herself quite a mention in the new edition of Vogue Magazine in a piece on Peter Copping the new Creative Director of Oscar de la Renta. Quite a feather in her cap. http://www.vogue.com/13257750/peter-copping-oscar-de-la-renta/
  22. According to Cooper, there will be a Season Three: http://www.abcnews4.com/story/29152379/3rd-season-for-southern-charm-cast-member-says-yes
  23. Have they even mentioned if there is an additional prize for answering 500 questions? Or is it just the money the contestant collects from each round of 50? If they're giving $5,000.00 milestone bonuses for 25, 75, etc. there should be something huge if someone makes it all the way!
  24. What I really didn't care for in Ep. 3 was that on question 75, a milestone question worth $5,000 there was a "random" battle. I think that a milestone question should only be a single answer question, not a battle or a triple threat. I've watched all three nights broadcast so far, only because I enjoy the trivia. The show itself, and especially the host, I find annoying. To me, it also seems that the challengers have been coached to "ham it up" which I definitely don't like. These are obviously intelligent people. Why have them act like buffoons? As if that's going to psych out the opposition. And I agree with the opinion that the show is condescending to its audience. I'd think that most people watching are, like me, trivia geeks. I think we can understand the concept of "three strikes and you're out." Excuse me, "GONE." /rolling my eyes
  25. Rolling Stone Magazine has an interview with Meghan Linsey. Smart on her part to want to strike while the iron is hot. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/meghan-linseys-second-act-the-voice-runner-up-on-whats-next-20150522
