  1. I could understand where Glenn was coming from, but I didn't think it was a good idea. It was one of those situations where you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. My first thought when he suggested this was, how are the captured going to defend themselves? They didn't have weapons. We're they even strong enough to put up a fight? And as we saw with the one man that did come out of the boxcar, he not only didn't have any weapons (of course), but he was BSC, and just like expected quickly became zombie chow.
  2. I get it. Some people just won't be able to fully make the transition to the new world that is the ZA i.e. Tyrese. With that said, ZA is no place to be going through a crisis about killing the walkers. Thank God he finally manned upped. He was pretty bad assed to kill all of those zombies with just the earthly elements as weapons. Carol still isn't the best at hand to hand combat, but she certainly showed her skill with that scope rifle. I guess all she did last season is forgiven. I can't really blame them for forgiving. She did just help save their asses. Pretty much everyone held their own tonight. Kicking ass and taking names. There wasn't nearly enough Michonne. Considering how the episode ended, I wondering if Rick and crew have seen the last of the guy who was running Terminus. OMG Morgan!!! Hell yeah! Can't wait to see where this goes. Great episode!
  3. I don't give a flying fig about who he dated or is dating. Whether he is/was gay, straight or bi-sexual and is denying it all. But I will say Luke Evans was all kinds of hot in Dracula: Untold.
  4. I don't think you're off base at all. I personally think something is off about Aayan. I'm assuming he was jumped in his apartment by terrorist who were seriously pissed that the video, which no only shows Aayan, but other individuals in this terrorist network. This is probably way off, but Sandy was so secretive about what he was doing, is it possible that Aayan could've been his CI? Aayan seemed awfully calm (and level headed) for someone who'd just lost his whole family due to a bombing by the US. Perhaps that was because there was more guilt than anger at play with his feelings. I didn't think it was strange or exotic at all, but more true to real life. Most guys that I know whose had a hookup ended up with someone more like the Apartment Manager than the 'beautiful' bombshells Hollywood normally throws out for a quick lay. It was kind of refreshing to not see the Hollywood fantasy. With that said, why Quinn did what he did was not lost on me. It is obvious that he has serious issues he needs to work through.
  5. Though I betting nothing much will come of Quinn and the Apartment Manager, I liked their encounter mainly because it was so different from the typical Hollywood drunken one night stand. The Apartment Manager wasn't what Hollywood would deem as "hot," and Quinn didn't seem to have any regrets the morning after. In fact he took her out to breakfast! Such a stand up guy. Love him. I must admit I'm one of the few that realized I actually missed Brody last season. Yes, I thought he'd run past his expiration date like everyone else, but when we got him back for the last few episodes I realized how much I missed him (or maybe it was the actor I missed) and was a little sad when he died. I wasn't sure how Homeland would recover after spending three seasons centered around him. Well I think they recovered nicely. Both episodes were a very strong start to the season. I wish Carrie would just give up the ghosts, literally (like others I think the casting director did a fantastic job with Baby Brody) and give the baby up for adoption. Unfortunately, I think TPTB are going to keep her in the Mathison family to have another level of angst and conflict for Carrie. Did anyone ever figure out what was up with Arayan and the drugs? Why did he take them to his friend's house to hide? Why did he have them in the first place? Another wish I have is that they'd just put us and Saul's wife out of her misery and have her leave him for good. I really can't understand why she's with him. Is it out of pity? Familiarity? Obligation? Because I don't think she loves him anymore. And Saul loves her so much that he'll take her anyway he can get her, even if she is scowling her way through the marriage. Like others, I really don't want to go through another season with her complaining about him never being home. Bradley James finally got a job after Merlin! He did well with the American accent. The way the camera panned up to him, for a second keeping his identity mysterious, I wonder if he'll come into play later in the season? That was kind of dramatic reveal for someone whose just going to be seen one time. Glad the show is moving back to the Middle East. I was fearful for a minute when Carrie was told she was being returned to the US for good. The scenes there were descent. However, I feel the story in the Middle East was most intriguing and where this season's potential lay.
  6. Sounds like Nicole is better and the show resumed filming last Wednesday. http://wilmonfilm.blogs.starnewsonline.com/16509/sleepy-hollow-to-resume-filming-wednesday/ Watching tonight's episode, I realized once again why I enjoy the character of Abbie so much. She's level-headed, which will get her a long way. She always keeps her eye on the ball (eta. her being stuck in purgatory, but wanting to warn Crane about Moloch's plans so that everyone could be saved). Though I'm sure she wasn't happy to hear that Reyes' testimony put her mother in a mental institution, she knew based on the information she had about the situation (what her mother had done and her mental state at the time), that Reyes' was just doing her job. That's not to say that Reyes' is a good person, but again considering the circumstances what else could she do. I think Abbie has not drawn a conclusion about Reyes but is very wisely walking the line. The woman is after all her boss, so she can't be pull a Jenny. I also liked how quickly she thought on her feet and turned Jenny's attention away from Reyes when she suggested she take out Reyes' instead of Jenny. Like her comment to Crane about them being short on allies. Lastly, liked her finally voicing her opinion about Katrina. She's already seen herself sacrificed by Crane so that he could reunite with Katrina. The same could happen with Henry. Both Crane and Katrina could potentially make a choice that would leave her vulnerable all in an attempt to save their 'son.' I hope she will continue to reiterate her concerns and stand firm with them especially when a situation arises that seems to be more about the Cranes resolving some family drama, than making a choice for the greater good.
  7. Crane and Abbie’s discussion about gay marriage was funny, as were his rants about having ID. His interactions with the new guy were funny too. Snap snap Abbie! Glad she put it out there and pretty much told Crane that she'll never fully trust Katrina. And with good reason. Loved Abbie’s sarcasm about Katrina eventually sending them a message about what Henry and the Horseman are up to. I guess she’s just as baffled as the rest of us about how Katrina will managed to do this. So glad they didn't drag out Abbie and Crane finding out that Henry is trying to get his clutches in Irving. Glad Irving knows the truth too. Though I'm worried about him. He doesn't seem totally set on turning away from Irving. Really enjoyed the Jenny/Abbie scenes. Glad their relationship is getting stronger. The bit about Abbie's mother being haunted in the mental institution sounds really interesting. I can't wait learn more about this. I kind of like the new guy. I hope he's legitimately good. The writers don’t seem to know what to do with the new Sheriff. She just seems to show up at random places to taunt or cause trouble or be a plot point. Hope they will give her more direction as the season goes on. Descent episode. Nowhere near as good as the premiere, but much better than last week. Still could've done without the Katrina scenes. They served no purpose.
  8. Yes. They flipped the coin to decide whether to go back and get the body from the house. I think it's implied that Girl Next Door killed Mr. Keating. So now I'm wondering do the others know? Or do they think they're "protecting" Annalise? I liked the style of Viola's wig in the front, but they need to glue the back down or something, because several times in this episode the hair was not laying down flat on her neck, which made it look as if it either wasn't on good or needed to be combed down. Good episode. Steven Webber's character was a horrible man, but I liked the case and thought he did a good job with the story. I know we'll likely never see him again, but I'm curious about how he'll punish his daughter for framing him for murder.
  9. I watched this and thought it was okay. At this point, I don't know if I'll continue to tune in. Like others the conversation between Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott's character about her wardrobe choices was a huge turnoff for me. Not only was it offensive, but a very disrespectful (and inappropriate) comment to make, especially to his boss. I get the impression that Maggie Q has been stalked before. Didn't she say this earlier in the episode to the college kid who was being stalked? Anyway, I could see what they were trying to get at throughout the episode when they'd show her at home at night shutting all of her curtains and making sure the doors were locked. However, what I couldn't get was why someone who has had "much worse" from a stalker than the college kid, would have all of her curtains wide open and doors unlocked until she decides to hit the hay? Wouldn't she make a point to keep those curtains closed and doors locked at the very least as soon as the sun started to set? Her closing them at bedtime just didn't ring true to me. The scene between Dylan McDermott and who I'm assuming is his ex-wife was horrible, mainly on the wife's front. The actress (don't know her name, but remember her from L&O) was terrible. Lastly, Maggie Q knocking around the college kid stalker was not smart IMO. Yeah it made for a great rah rah moment, a woman who is tough and can kick ass and on top of that is giving the crazy stalker an ass whooping. However, as I was watching it I thought, this is not going to stop this guy from stalking his former roommate. The roommate beat his ass and days later the stalker turned up in the guy's room. If anything I thought it would only inflame the situation. Now he's showing up at her house, and maybe that's what she intended all along to turn his fixation from his former roommate to her. However, even if this was her plan it was a risky move that could yield a number of dangerous responses.
  10. I've never watched CM live but have enjoyed the show in syndication over the years. However, with the addition of Jennifer Love Hewitt I decided to watch live last night. I thought that Jennifer did well enough but the episode was so boring. The characters were flat and the crimes too. It didn't help that it was blatantly obvious that the 'body parts' were plastic renditions from the props department. I was on the fence last season as to whether the show still had some life left, because there were some very good episodes even with most of the season being forgettable. But after last night's episode and the preview for next week's episode (which didn't look interesting at all), I've come to the conclusion that the show has run it's course.
  11. Another thing that bugged was that Sheriff Reyes didn't bother to ask where Jenny had disappeared to after her accident. When the cops got on the scene she obviously wasn't there since Henry had kidnapped her. So why didn't the Sheriff mention how they'd seen the blood in the vehicle and had searched for her for hours fearing she'd wandered away from the accident scene with a concussion.
  12. I agree. When watching Abbie tonight I got the feeling that she really didn't want to raise The Kindred for various reasons, but caved because she trusts Crane's instincts and really wanted to help him get his wife back. I felt like she was biting her tongue a lot tonight. I was glad she said some things in the cave, but wished she'd said more. I think as long as Katrina is with Abraham, working undercover or not, there will be the risk of Abbie and Crane's relationship being stressed and them losing some of the closeness and trust they had in S1. Cause no matter what, he will always take enormous risks (that risks others) to save Katrina. I do wonder what he would've done if Abbie had said no to raising the Kindred. Would he have went off on his own to try and do it himself? Went in by himself, half-cocked to save her, or thought of another plan for her rescue?
  13. I didn't understand the scene with Henry and Moloch. Didn't we have a similar scene at the end of the last episode where Henry apologized for his failure and Moloch responded by providing Henry with his flaming armor of War? Why in this episode did we get pretty much the same scene but with Moloch responding differently this time, by warning Henry not to fail him again? I already hate the new Sheriff. How did she just wonder into the archive room where Abbie and Crane work? Was she looking for Abbie or just being nosy? And then her vowing to make sure Irving got the worst treatment in the sanitarium (now granted she thinks he killed two cops and doesn't know the real deal). Yet I still think she's trouble. Sorry, but I'm not feeling the family love/bond between Crane, Katrina and Henry and the Crane/Katrina/Abraham triangle. To me Henry is just another adversary for Crane/Abbie to take down. Not Crane's son whom he still feels a connection to. The situation with Katrina is not much better. I don't dislike the actress, it's just this triangle is not only silly (I mean really a man is going to sell his soul and become the headless horseman for a piece of ass, surely there were plenty other fish in the sea). This just isn't working for me. That said, at least Katrina looks to finally be having some use. Her choosing to stay with Abraham and pretending she'll grow to love him so that she can get the inside scoop on how he and Henry plans to raise Moloch is a good plan. Now how she plans to get the information she learns back to Abbie and Crane is another story. Argh. Does Irving not know who Henry is? Oh No and he signed the paper!! F*ck! I wonder what Henry has in store for Irving. Nothing good I know. Sigh. This episode was okay. Not as strong as last week. The last 5 minutes was what made it for me though.
  14. Unsung: Bone Thugs -N-Harmony Anyone catch this episode? I was a fan of the group back in the day. I had no idea that Eazy E was the one who gave them their start. I really enjoyed the episode. The guys seemed really cool and most sounded like they'd learned from their mistakes. It was good to see that though they had their disagreements and falling outs, they still care about each other very much and continue to keep pushing forward. I always thought they fell off because their sound, though unique, would not be something that would last through the ever changing landscape of hip hop, now hip pop. It appears that was sort of the case, but also the many other pitfalls so many musicians fall into when they make it. Another interesting thing about the documentary was there was no mention of the two very successful collaborations they did with Mariah Carey (I Still Believe, Breakdown) back in the 90s. They flashed up a picture of her with the group when mentioning how successful they'd become working with other artists etc. But no specific mention of Mariah. I wonder if she refused to give rights to those songs been used in the documentary. Good show. I wish they'd profile more rappers. It'd be interesting to see where many of them ended up.
  15. Just read that Nicole has been ill and as result production has been on hold for Sleepy Hollow. I hope she gets well soon. Sounds like filming has been postponed for the past week. They didn't say what the illness was, but I hope its nothing serious. http://www.starnewsonline.com/article/20140923/ent/140929890
  16. Sleepy Hollow Production Still On Hold
  17. Yes. I believe so. On earth Moloch used his physical body to turn him into a monster that would do his bidding. But Andy's soul would still be human despite the evil he's done. Which is I'm guessing why he was human in purgatory.
  18. So true about Behrie expressing so well with her eyes. I thought she done great work last season, but in the premiere I felt like she stepped her game up even more. She was even better than before. Great acting. I didn't catch the Lieutenant/Lef-tenant thing either until I re-watched the scene.
  19. That's one thing about Abbie, even when she's in the most perilous situations she keeps her head and obviously can take care of herself. I loved how she was able to stay focused on what needed to be done, warning Crane about what Moloch was up to. Then beheading fake Ichabod when he called Leutenant instead of Lefttenant. She's sharp and resourceful, a very strong character.
  20. After selling his soul to Moloch I was surprised to see Andy took a detour to purgatory. I'd think he would've gone straight to hell. Though Cho is likely gone from the show it would be cool if Andy dropped in from time to time from Moloch's liar, to warn Abbie of the occasional threat coming to Sleepy Hollow.
  21. This. I was also tipped off by Abbie and Crane going to him for help. With him being the Horseman of War and then the way he deceived them for months last season I didn't think it was realistic that they'd go to him for information.
  22. Ok it's a bit much that Crane was present and involved with so many major events in American history. First he worked closely with George Washington, then he created the Boston Tea Party as a distraction for... I can't remember what (I'd have to watch the episode again to be reminded), now he's Benjamin Franklin's apprentice. Yay Andy! I didn't think we'd see him again. This was likely the last time though with the actor now having his own show. :( Aw Crane leaving messages for Abbie on his "death" bed. And then the hug! Their chemistry is undeniable. Loved it! Nitpick - Didn't Crane have to back the ambulance out of the parking space to crash it into the garage? Not to mention he knew the basic fundamentals of driving, putting the car in drive, stepping on the gas, stopping etc. So why didn't he know how to put it in reverse once he picked up Jenny? Shirtless Horseman was just hilarious. LOL. So what does he do all day? Take heads? Then comes home after a hard days work and changes into something more appropriate for his time with Katrina? Shouldn't he be working with Moloch to destroy the world? Hilarious. Speaking of Katrina, she continues to be useless. Isn't she supposed to be this powerful witch? Why the heck can't she speak some incantation and at least give the Horseman some formidable resistance. Love the Mills sisters. Glad their relationship has improved over what it was last season. Lastly where is Irving? I missed him. Great start to the new season!
  23. I was annoyed by this, but also how her hair was in her face. If I'm going into a dark cave to fight vampires I want to be able to see without the risk of any possible obstructions to my view. It irked me to no end that she didn't have her hair practically nailed to her scalp with no lose bangs etc. flinging about to potentially get in her eyes and obstruct her view.
  24. The Master. Looks absolutely ridiculous. LOL There's nothing scary about him. They should've left him mysterious and in the dark. I’ve had about enough of Ephraim and his kid. The former deserves to die. I was hoping the Master would've taken him out. Anyway, aren’t there some relatives he can send his son to be with in another state? Also, why after telling him to stay in the basement, does he leave the pawn shop with his son standing outside in plain view? I thought that was rather stupid. Speaking of stupid (well the kid kind of gets a pass, because he is a kid), but couldn’t he have pretended to go buy cigarettes, instead of actually going out to try and find cigarettes for Nora’s mom? After he told her he was going to go get her some cigarettes, she went back down stairs. Perhaps he could’ve stayed upstairs until his dad returned that might’ve bought him some time with Nora’s mom wanting to get out. It all worked out, but still, next time he might not be so lucky. The same goes for Nora and her mom. I know it can’t be helped that she’s suffering from dementia/Alzheimer’s or whatever, but I’ve had about enough of her. Did anyone else think their trip into the subway tunnels was a suicide mission and don’t even get me started on Ephraim crawling through a narrow tunnel to try and get to the vamps and running off after his ex-wife calling to him in the tunnels? I mean there are only four of them and they were deep into the tunnels. It’s not like they could make a quick escape to daylight if things went south. Poor Gus. I hate he lost his family, but he is so bad-assed. He cried for about two seconds then he manned up and doing what he had to do, taking out vamps.
  25. Agreed. She was also fantastic in Alex Haley's Queen. She seems to do her best work on TV (though she was hit or miss in the show Extant). Or maybe the reason why she did so well with the IDD and Queen was because the material was so relatable to her background. An actress I can't stand, Tea Leoni. I think she's a terrible actress. Every role I've seen her in, it was as if she was just reading off a piece of paper, no passion, emotion, charisma whatsoever. She is annoying to watch. For the life of me I can't understand why she gets any roles. The same goes for Channing Tatum. He's has a great body and from what I've read is the nicest guy ever, but he cannot act to save his life. I can't stand to watch him and feels he sucks the life out of all the movies he's in.
