I like Mary. I like that they gave her a life aside from Sam and Dean. I'm glad they didn't keep her in the bunker, washing the blood and guts out of their clothes, making Dean pie, etc. And, frankly, I'm not surprised she's taken the path she has with Ketch and the BMoL. Sam did something very similar back in season 4, in his desire to not spend the rest of his life hunting. In her own way, she's trying to protect her sons. And I get that. As a mom, you do whatever you think you need to if it means protecting your children. Is it misguided? Perhaps. But she's trying. And I give her mountains of credit for that. I don't even blame her for not hunting with Sam and Dean. It's like being in a cop family -- I couldn't handle watching my children risk their lives day in and day out. It's one thing to know it's happening, but to see it? I would need constant therapy to deal with the stress. But mileage varies, of course.

They as in Sam and Dean or the BMoL? Sam and Dean might be able, but considering they had to talk Mick into using it (when he thought it wouldn't work), I can't imagine Ketch et al being willing to try. Now, if Kate and Garth are separate and the BMoL kill Garth, then I could see Sam and Dean tracking down Kate and performing the cure on her, potentially. She might not be happy, though, since they claimed to have a cure once before....

If the BMoL are taking out werewolves, then what about Kate? Perhaps she found Garth and his brood. That would fulfill the "old favorite" and "relative newcomer" spoilers, I think. While Sam and Dean weren't overly connected to Kate, they let her go twice -- something I think the BMoL would be highly perturbed about.

Sorry I'm late. Sounds like SPN is doing its version of Twilight -- "I'm keeping this baby even though it's killing me." Boring. Re: Golden eyes -- for years, I have wondered why they never gave anyone silver eyes. But not like the "eye flashes" seen with shifters on camera. I mean genuine silver, like the rest of the angels and demons. That could have been good for the nephilim. Oh well. He hasn't said anything since then. He could be filming, or he could be taking a much-needed, well-deserved rest. *shrug*

Or abducted by centaurs? ;-) Hee! I guess my spec that the BMoL is the Ministry of Magic, obsessed with rules and control, wasn't that far off, for a change.

Oops, I almost forgot. Moving back to Hawaii in June. So, hey, maybe I'll have a report for the November Con. ;-)

I'm surprised that people dislike Hell House so much. It's in my top 5 for S1. I think it did a great job of establishing another facet to Sam and Dean's relationship. And I love that it's set in Richardson, Texas. If you have teenagers, or kids who will be teenagers someday, I highly recommend 13 Reasons Why on Netflix. It's not easy to watch. Hell, at moments it's almost impossible. But it's important.

Lots and lots to do there, just saying. ;-) And, of course, you can hop on the train at Liverpool station, take it to Stansted, and fly pretty much anywhere in Europe, thanks to Ryan Air. Or German Wings. Or any of the low-cost, no-frills airlines. Getting to Europe always seems to be the hardest (read: most expensive) part. ;-)
