  1. I wonder, as I mentioned to someone else, if the writers looked back at Purgatory Dean and said, "If they loved that, imagine how much they'll love Demon Dean!"
  2. AwesomeO, I'm not sure I can watch Tim Gunn or PR anymore. Not after the abomination that was Under the Gunn. *shudder* How he treated one of the designers really changed my view of him, sadly.
  3. They really need to re-title that show. Emperor of the Nerds. Monarch of the Nerds. Something. Anyway, it occurred to me this morning that Steve Valentine (the bad guy in Dog Dean Afternoon) played Derek Storm on a Disney show called I'm in the Band. The show was about a teenager (named Tripp) joining an aging 80's heavy metal band. In the final episode, Tripp's father showed up, played by James Patrick Stuart, aka Dick Roman.
  4. While I can't think of one immediately, I love it when they drop in a quote from one of the books. I miss some of them -- I think because sometimes they're said by different characters from the books -- but I'm always delighted when I catch one. Oh, for example, Barney is originally the one who said that Hannibal, whenever possible, prefers to eat the rude. "Free-range rude, he called them."
  5. When I said All-Star, I meant in the best possible definition of the words -- sadly, Spike would go in (most likely) the opposite direction. So -- never mind.
  6. Okay, just wanted to make sure because I got a "you might like" on FB pointing to Jensen's "official" page.
  7. Well, in my perfect season, there would be no drama, but a ton of excellent tattoos from a bunch of excellent artists. What's that? Oh, right, I'm delusional, I forgot. Damn.
  8. Oh, I forgot about Weird Al. That would be awesome as well. Okay, someone might need to bring back the Match Game so we can get all these people on the same show.
  9. I never engaged in the Hannibal thread at that other site, but I figured I would jump into the fray here. Hello! I became impatient with the show in the first season, so stopped watching before the season finale. However, before season 2 began airing, I figured I would give it another chance. Once I let go of the idea that it should follow the books exactly, but instead mirror them in many ways, I enjoyed the first season immensely. As I did season 2.
  10. Whenever I see the new Laurence Fishburne commercial in which he plays "Morpheus" again, I can't help but say, "Well, hello, Jack."
  11. I think my ultimate panel would be Greg Proops, Tom Lennon, and either Ron Funches or Natasha Leggero.
  12. Jensen has no confirmed social media pages, right? No FB, no Twitter, etc. Or did I just imagine that?
  13. It moves from WB to New Line Gerald's Game to be adapted -- his scariest book, IMO, but I'm not sure how it would work as a movie. I doubt that The Long Walk will ever be adapted. People would complain that it's a rip off of every other teenagers-fight-for-their-lives/dystopian future movie. (The fact that it's been around longer than any of them would mean nothing.)
  14. So, who else wants an All Stars season? Tommy might not be on, but I'd love to see him school some of these other contestants!
  15. To (essentially) quote a certain impeccably dressed killer: "Love the suits."
  16. Just in case you haven't seen it, and because I love it -- the CW version of the Ellen Oscars' selfie.
  17. Maybe this will be the season they merge á la Detta/Odetta/Susannah. Depends on how you look at it, I suppose. I found out about the show from an update on current goings-on in the SK universe. *shrug* Though I am disappointed that he seems to favor a vastly inferior "loosely inspired by" TV show. Or maybe he's just getting more money from CBS.
  18. In a perfect world, I'd ask for two Whose Line episodes -- UK and US. Tony Slattery, Steve Frost, Josie Lawrence, Paul Merton, Stephen Fry, anyone! US, of course, Greg, Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles, Brad Sherwood, etc etc etc. Oh, and maybe a Reno 911 reunion episode.
  19. Woo hoo! I've been saying since they announced that WLiiA was coming back that one of them should be on the show -- since both are on the CW. However, I was kind of hoping for Jared just so Ryan Stiles could have someone almost as tall as him for a change. And vice versa. (Ryan Stiles is 6'6".) ETA Also, I wouldn't mind if one of them was on Hollywood Game Night as well.
  20. Another refugee here -- and yes, that little guy to my left is my Bernese Mountain Dog/Border Collie mix. His name is Loki -- Norse god of mischief Loki, not Marvel bad guy. Oh, and not SPN Loki/Trickster/Gabriel. We're big on mythology in our household -- all of our names come from Greek mythology, even the middle ones. We thought we would stray for the non-human family members. Though I may change my mind if I ever get a female Great Pyrenees -- I'd love to name her Khione, Greek goddess of snow. Shockingly, he doesn't look like that anymore. He's four and a half years old and about a hundred pounds of lapdog. ETA The shade, the shade of it all!
  21. Yep, to all that. And I'll add that I think Chuck is God and want them to bring him back. ETA Also, I didn't mind Scarecrow at first, but now when I watch it, all I think is, "We should have known." 11 episodes in and Sam is already taking off on Dean. You know, I'm kind of surprised it took that long.
  22. Hated it. Hate the idea of Demon Dean. Hate the idea of a Crowley/Dean bromance. I have no idea where they're going with it, but I doubt they know, either.
  23. Agreed. He's written so many books that haven't been adapted. I assume they think remakes are a sure thing. Presumably, the remakes would appeal more to young people, but I wonder how many young people read SK? I'm hoping the It remake falls apart.
