  1. They don't need to decide on an end date, the ratings are doing it for them.

  3. There's no way what happened to, say, Theo Galavan happens to Sofia. She's a woman.
  4. Just a little headsup but Gotham is probably getting cancelled at these ratings.
  5. Much better episode this week but oh God I just can't stop hating Peyton List's Ivy.

  7. No, the thing is Peyton is overacting the "being the villain" part of Ivy, and she's utterly failing at it. She does not f¤¤king have the chops. Christ, and I thought there was nothing that could make me miss Maggie Geha.
  8. Peyton List is horrible in the role. Strike that, she just might be just horrible. I haven't watched her in anything else but from what I hear she's supposed to be a good actress, but on Gotham, she might be the only character more wooden-acted than Jim Gordon. It's like watching paint dry. And the most horrible thing of all is that this entire script could have been played by Clare Foley and it would have been a tremendous improvement. Ivy would be far more menacing if she was all these things - if she'd "changed a lot", which was just Selina trying to sell her "awesome villainousness" - and she still looked like a tiny little girl. That's because actually, Cameron Monaghan isn't that bloody great an actor. It's the perfect casting and the scripts that have made him a standout, not his phenomenal skills. Sure, he's good, but he's no better than David, Robin, Cory or even Erin. Don't think it's random. It seems a reference to Carmine Falcone, who raised chickens. Show didn't let us forget that either (Sofia referenced it this season.) My random addition - boy, did Robin ever jump at the romantic Nygmobblepot angle and totally run away with it in that scene with Edward. "You're still in there." Wow, just wow. All he had to act against was a tiny piece of paper and you just saw him completely overcome with emotion. This is why that ship is so beloved.
  9. Oh, I liked Butch and Tabitha too, that's why I'm angry with the show for doing such a piss poor job with them lately.
  10. That's what makes him such a great and relatable lead character.
  11. Season one, episode 15. Happy I managed to extradite myself from this mess last season.
  12. So are they seriously still going with Selina not knowing Bruce is Batman? I mean, I guess Selina is that special kind of girl who thinks Dad is Santa Claus if he puts on a fake beard. Seriously Peyton List would be an “old” recast for Ivy even if this was Smallville, with teens played by 25-year-olds. Don’t mean to be a total buzzkill but I don’t know why people assume Bruce and Selina are going to “reunite” just because they share a fight scene and some flirts in the promo. Let’s not forget that pesky little “Grace”. Or, well, let’s, I’d much rather forget her, but I have a feeling the show won’t allow me to.
  13. Dunno if it's un-Alfred. I've never seen Alfred place any value whatsoever in his own well-being.
  14. It's TVLine, they never waste a chance to take a piss on Gotham.
  15. Saving a real reply until later but Tabitha's taken a fair deal of punishment, she almost died at the hands of Theo.
  16. I gave up on LoT during season one because it was so bad. I may have to revisit it. In other news I'm often a bit down on people commenting on my reviews by intentionally obfuscating matters and selectively quoting me in order to make me into some kind of misogynist. People seem to think I mind "women being bad-ass". What I mind is "bad-assery" as a substitute for well written and multi-dimensional women, and I think the current discourse about cross-gender violence in modern television is very, very dangerous. :-/ Also I finished my Harvey Dent review because I had to post it to get the foul taste of the midseason finale out of my mouth. Doux Reviews: Harvey Dent
  17. Gotham not winning the ensemble nomination would be a travesty. Nominating Jim and Sofia is an absolute joke.
  18. Quite belated out of a case of severe disappointment in the show, but I guess this had to be done. Doux Reviews: Queen Takes Knight
  19. I've known fifteen-years-old more manipulative than Sofia, I think she's easily more believable than, say, Lee, and she's more than attractive enough. In fact she's so pretty it's disturbing.
  20. Ivy and Bruce is real. Long live #pepperwayne. Kill me now.
  21. They probably don't even have money to prevent the next cholera outbreak.
  22. By the way the best time ever to use "Perfect Day" as the soundtrack of a Gotham episode would've been for this Bruce storyline.
