  1. I'm starting to legitimately dislike this season. I've never seen a string of Gotham episodes more nonsensical than what we're served this year.
  2. Again... "teenage-angst"? Is that a word for a synopsis? If that's what the writers think of it, why do they believe we want to see it?
  3. The show is insanely beautiful at times. Riddler's insanely beautiful at all times.
  4. So I'm spamming. Sorry. I posted this trash both to /r/Gotham and to my tumblr. Sue me. I have strong feelings! :-/ Now: Everytime I come across this picture on my blog I get a little more angry. You wanted Ivy and Bruce as a foil for Batcat? (Don't bother denying it. It's been clear both in articles and later in talks with Geha at conventions. She was cast specifically to seduce people and they had her set to go after Bruce Wayne. That's before the show retreated in the face of the fury of the fanbase, who somehow found it unpalatable with a child in a thirty-year-old body putting the moves on teenage Batman.) You had the perfect choice staring you right in the face. But of course! Clare had no boobs, and girls with no boobs can’t make people fall in love with them. /s
  5. They're haters, they don't need brain cells. People a certain age, think 20 to 25, often have a desperate need to take a dump on teenagers in order to distance themselves and try to look "mature", never realizing how petty that makes them. They could never discuss a show like 'Girl Meets World' - a hilarious unintended satire of Moral Majority dogma while it was airing - as that's targeted at below their age group. I'm old enough where I don't feel threatened to my adulthood giving a prodigy some credit. Side note is I think this is why I have so many haters at reddit, that, and being an arrogant bastard. And thank you. :-)
  6. Just thought it was funny since Grace, well, looked like she could possibly be his age, while Tommy was twice as big with a different face. :-D
  7. Hell, I'd even rather see Selina not get more to do than see another version of Ivy.
  8. Side note, Bruce didn't recognize Grace but for some unfathomable reason he seemed to recognize Tommy... :D :d .p ;D The logic!
  9. Eh, I started drinking at bars when I was 16 and nobody was losing any liquor licenses over that in my country... :-D And that wasn't a magically corrupt place like Gotham, that was just Sweden.
  10. I mean there's no way they're bringing on Tommy Elliot again without doing anything about it. Throwing Hush and Talia at him at the same time? Well then again, it's Gotham. Seriously that recast of Tommy is silly. He's what, 25? Damn good looking kid but I mean wtf uhhh... Yeah my comment-fu isn't the best.
  11. If that's Talia I'm not feeling it at all. She didn't have much charisma.
  12. @Danielg342, I could expand a lot on the argument - Bruno's argument is a bit more nuanced than that - but as I'm off to work I'll just note that it's become increasingly clear that Bruno has been outmaneuvered and little of the show follows his original vision. Yes, he made quite a few changes over the first year, but the first Ivy recast? That's where it was clear to me. While Bruno is no "God", he has a certain integrity, and that was no Bruno move. He's also never defended it.
  13. Made a... you know, like, tumblr post. Because copypasting gets old. http://kathemy.tumblr.com/post/166998360516/reasoned-reaction
  14. Slowly coming to my senses. I've reviewed this show for more than two years. I've been a fan from the first season. I'm in this to the bitter end. I can all but guarantee, though, my coverage won't be pretty. Yesterday I had to actively restrain myself from making comments that would've gotten me banned here, on the hype, and probably even on reddit.
  15. It'll be most amusing to hear the writers' excuse for this recast. We all remember the last one. The hate. The f%&king burning hate.
  16. With the latest news I don't see how I can keep covering this show with a straight face. The hate.
  17. I'm unsure if you have forgotten it but they did have the scene where Selina wanted the knife and Bruce told her she should leave. The way the actors talked about that scene, it was clear this was supposed to be the breaking point, and the two are no longer even on friendly terms.
  18. It's extremely weird. Gotham's sort of been the go-to place for Batcatters over the last years, at least if you're not totally stuck up about shippin two teenagers. How they aren't capitalizing on the comics buzz right now is beyond me.
  19. Batcat never sucks when it's actually happening. It's just how the writers seem hellbent on not allowing them even one moment of happiness before pulling them apart in the most heartbreaking fashion. I actually understand both Camren and David's objections to that relationship in a fashion, by only going by what's shown on screen. And that's despite barebone Gotham Batcat being an absolutely beautiful romance. Of course the public dissing of the romance is poor PR, though, but maybe that's the way the writers want it. This is the key for successful ships - and mind you, I'm not embarrassed to call myself a shipper. In order to make the audience invest, you must show what they could have that's worth fighting for. You need to show happiness so people understand why they bother trying to get back together. This is a teen romance, so for obvious reasons they can't just take the shortcut of awesome graphic sex; they need to tell a heartfelt story. Dancing the Masochist Tango 24/7 makes people give up.
  20. No, she absolutely isn't. Doesn't stop people speculating however especially since she's of Lebanese descent.
