  1. I read the posts on this forum because you folks are insightful as well as amusing. Still not watching the episodes because I often find Judge Judy hard to take.
  2. Just started watching this series. Caught previous seasons on cable. Maybe it's because I've watched five seasons in the matter of a couple on months but it seems that every season two to three episodes are devoted to some higher-up trying to get Voight. Do the writers think viewers find this compelling? I feel it's lazy writing. Surely they can fill episodes with something other than "Voight's career is in peril again".
  3. Because she feels ANY monies not earned from a job is her and Byrd's money!! I had taken a break from the show. Thought I was ready to come back. No, I need a longer break.
  4. Me too!! I periodically need a JJ break and it's break time.
  5. I haven't been able to watch TPC all week because the sound track has been off every episode. The video plays but the mouth doesn't match the sound. It's about 3 to 5 seconds off and I find this very annoying. Anyone else having this problem?
  6. Once again JJ's inconsistencies rears its ugly head. The episode before she threw the def's new gf out because she had nothing to contribute to the case. The same was true with this new gf but she was allowed to stay. Not sure why the gf's were treated differently.
  7. Maybe this time it will take!! Then Gabby can become Chief Dawson.
  8. The gloves! This season's "Boden's job in jeopardy"???
  9. I don't understand how she decides when it's capitalism or "getting over".
  10. She really disliked the wife. I couldn't understand her attitude towards the defendant.
  11. I don't understand why ANYONE receiving disability would choose to appear on Judge Judy. Her bias is so obvious. I know there are welfare/SSI scammers out there, but not everyone receiving these the benefits are scammers. JJ treats the vast majority of them like they are scum.
  12. It premieres January 12, on WETV not TLC, as I incorrectly posted. Still not sure of the title, something like Love and Convicts.
  13. Posted this in the TPC thread. In January TLC is debuting a show about people who fall in love with convicts!! I guess the premise is they, meet, fall in love and marry, while the love of their life is behind bars. I think reality TV has passed rock bottom.
  14. It was a picture of the defendant's mom who had passed away. Had no bearing on the case, just a ploy for sympathy.
  15. Oh boy funky-rat, this probably isn't going to end well. She probably doesn't have insurance but at east you know where she works.
  16. I would not give my SSN in front of a group of strangers (matter how loud JJ yelled). She's demanded this of litigants before and they all complied. I don't give out personal info to random people and certainly not in front of an audience. Is it even legal for her to do this? It's probably for show, but still.
  17. At least it was her money/credit, not ours or Bryd's.
  18. It's getting to hard to like/root for Katie. The character is being written so mean, spiteful, and downright selfish.
  19. I'm not sure why she wouldn't like the plaintiff. She was well spoken, appropriately dressed and not taking any of Byrd's money. She should have won on those points a!one. LOL!!
  20. I thought Boden ordering Casey and Severide to "investigate" the arson, would be the catalyst for this season's Boden pissed somebody off, let fire him storyline. Guess it's too early to play that card. It will probably be closer to sweeps before the annual "Boden's job is in jeopardy" story arc.
  21. Jamoche, I did not mean to offend anyone. I guess when I think of "stoner" movies I think Cheech And Chong". No harm, no foul.
  22. Never heard of a a movie with Chris Rock, Nia Long, and Ice Cube referred too as a stoner movie. The movies Friday and Next Friday are really like urban cult films that came out in the mid 90s. Google missed the boat on this one. Sadly, the plaintiff, Sarah Burney, died in August of 2015. She was only 23 years old. I don't suppose she ever got a chance to get it together.
  23. When Donna gave Boden the placard she said he would need it for the pickup at the daycare.
  24. Yes angelahunter, these litigants did speak "proper" English but some of them were sneakier/slimmer than the litigants who speak "improperly". That "oh-so-sorry" teen was full of it, the furniture guy was an ass, the bad wig lady was a total user. Good grammar or not they were no different than what we usually see on TPC. Just a little easier on the ears. LOL
  25. Watched a rerun on Monday regarding a plaintiff suing his ex for damaging his guitar. The case wasn't particularly noteworthy, I just thought JJ again showed how far removed she is from the real world. The defendant stated she had earned about $20,000 the previous year. JJ said she didn't believe she could live on that amount. Granted, the defendant may not had been truthful but there are people who actually live on that amount or less. I don't know why but JJ's attitude really bothered me. I think I may need to take a break from the program for a while. /end grumbling
