  1. This is not technically a spoiler but putting it here because it show a location where they were shooting and the name of the director. Tha's not creepy at all.
  2. I really liked Sarge. I wouldn't have minded seeing more of him. "You have a neighbor named Mr. Rogers." "Not anymore." Makes me laugh every time.
  3. But demon Dean wasn't a threat. He was an asshat and a total dick. He was killing demons and a one guy who put a contract out on his wife. An argument can made that Sam was the more dangerous one here. Plus, after Executioners Song, Dean actions really did nothing to merit Sam thinking Dean had given up or was getting worse. Sam was the one that wanted to kill Cole. Thinking Dean is weak isn't new for Sam. It's thoughts and feelings he's had since s1. It was Sam going by his perception of Dean's character rather than Deans' actions. Which is something Sam does time and again. For all Sam's words about how he looks up to Dean, does he really? I mean when Dean said stop going with Ruby, Sam ran to Ruby. When Dean said it wasn't God, Sam ignored him. When Sam said he wouldn't' judge Dean over the Amara stuff when it came time to back it up he sat there in silence. When Dean expressed he was too weak, Sam certainly didn't try to change him mind. The next ep he got pissy when Dean asked him to stay back, reminding Dean that Dean said he had to take care of it. When Dean was worried about Sam's powers he was worried about Sam going darkside but he still had faith in Sam himself. Yes, part of it was his brainwashing to always put Sam first, but it wasn't until Sam started going darkside that Dean completely lost faith. He was judging Sam's actions rather than his character and Dean had more than enough evidence to lose faith in Sam. I disagree the narrative said Sam using his powers was a bad things. Because when Dean objected he said "use the knife." Sam replied that he was saving people. They gave Dean a strawman's argument and ignored exorcisms. So I would say that dialogue very much favored Sam. In the end, they made Dean sit and watch Sam drain several bodies and drink demon blood because ultimately Ruby was trying to prepare him for Lucifer. (Although why Sam would want to make his vessel stronger makes no sense because it would be easier to gain control if Lucifer had to expend more energy to keep the vessel from imploding. What General would give his enemy his greatest weapon and the fuel to make it stronger.). All of which says to me that the narrative was on Sam's side. This was a direct quote from Kripke. He said Dean's purpose in Swan Song was to learn to love Sam more and that in s1 Dean would never have shown up at the graveyard. Yet another reason I despise that ep. This is exactly what happened with the whole, Lucifer needs demon blood retcon. This is exactly how I feel about Sam's. His apologies come across as "its only my fault because you made me do it in the first place." I tend to get the feeling, Sam's not really sorry. It comes across to me that for Sam the fault lies not in the action but that other people didn't accept his actions. The show ignored this. there was one throw away line with Dean letting him off the hook with the lock and key remark. Nothing Sam did specifically was ever brought up. Sam even got the "we need to stop saving each other and save everyone lecture. " While Dean was shown only wanting to save the baby. This IMO, is the definition of forced writing. This show was never about saving anyone. As for as Dean knew there were no cure to the plague. Sam even got to come up with a cure for a biblical plague while Dean was literally reduced to babysitter. Then we got a very special episode of being told just how brave and strong and special Sam was. I generaly dont see many negative consequences for Sam. Because when he does something to Dean its 9 times out of 10 its swept under the rug. Where as Dean's transgression tend to be brought up repeatedly. I care more about the words and actions of the characters than the consequences. I find Sam tends to get an endless supply of get out of jail free cards were Dean get the go to jail immediately ones. We'll have to agree to disagree.
  4. When Sam says your giving up Dean immediately responds with: He clearly says he intends to fight with all he has. He just didn't want to do it the way Sam felt he should, so Sam decided that Dean had given up. Actions speak louder than words. Behind Dean's back he clearly felt Dean had given up. He even says these words. It how he recruits charlie The problem was the tell didn't match the show. Sam or Cas said Dean was getting worse but he really wasn't. Not even after Cain. That should have been a major turning point, but after that we get Dean fighting for Cole, and not killing the college kids. Now this is a major failure on the writers part because they forgot to actually show Dean getting worse, but it very much comes across as Sam having little faith in Dean. Talk is cheap. Yes, Dean had doubts but when he did, the narrative usually comes up with a very special episode on why Dean is wrong not to trust Sam or lose faith in him. Sam didn't get a boo hoo princess speech after he lost faith in Dean in s10. Sam lies to Dean for a year and the resloution is Fallen Idols where Dean apologizes for losing trust in Sam. Then Point of no Return where Dean apologizes again. Then there was whole "Dean needs to learn to love Sam more." Swan Song where once again Dean apologized to Sam for doubting him. I would have no problem if Sam's faith wavered. It didn't actually. It was no existent after Executioners Song. I have a problem when Dean loses faith in Sam is some kind of failure on Deans' part. But when its Sam its justified. its the double standards in the writing I don't like.
  5. I've always felt that the main reason Sam looked for Dean in s10 out of a misplaced since of guilt since he said wouldn't save him. Sam certainly didn't seem to have much faith in Dean. His disdain for Dean seemed to be dialed up to an eleven this season. In Halt and Catch fire Dean tells Sam hes going to fight the mark by trying to help people (his peace) and Sam immediately interprets that as giving up. Its something he repeated many times. Dean's giving up, Dean's getting worse, etc, except Dean really wasn't showing more violence than Sam or Cas was at that time. Sam willingly participated in human sacrifice. Maybe it wasn't Dean that was out of control.
  6. I don't get this vibe. Just the opposite. I get the feeling that Sam is flourishing, and that he's organizing everyone successfully. Dabb said its a big storyline for him and there was stuff he couldn't talk about. It's been building the last two season. I don't see them setting him up to fail. Especially with all the kiddie table stuff coming up again last year.
  7. I don't even think we're going to get much Michael or Jensen in the first episode. Based on sightings of Jensen is Austin it sounds like he might have filmed 2-3 days. Which translates to about 10-15 minutes of screen time.
  8. Your probably right about Mary. I might have read the line too quickly, but that makes it worse with Sam and Cas. If they're getting annoyed at her being optimistic that doesn't show they have a lot of faith in Dean. It's like Dabb is trying to course correct with Mary but dropping everyone else under the bus. I'd hope it plays out better than it sounds but..... it's Dabb.
  9. Confirmation. Dean is back by ep for. https://tvline.com/gallery/fall-tv-2018-season-premiere-spoilers/#!35/igods-and-monstersi/ Commented in bitter spoilers
  10. https://tvline.com/gallery/fall-tv-2018-season-premiere-spoilers/#!35/igods-and-monstersi/ Just when you think Dabb can't get worse. It been what 3 weeks (and most of that off screen) and Sam's getting ready to give up, and it sounds like Mary is annoyed she has to actually put forth the effort. Really with a family like Dean's who really needs enemies. Confirmation Dean is back by episode 4. Why is Bobby training Jack. Shouldn't that be Sam or Cas. it seems backwards. It seems Bobby should be leading the AU hunters, against Dean, and Sam and Cas should be training Jack. R
  11. Jensen and Danneel are so great together on the commentary. I need more of the two of them.
  12. I'm still trying to figure out how Dabb is showing that Dean's important. All I'm seeing is that somehow Dean was suffocating all the other characters. With Dean only spending about a week with Mary at the most last year he somehow prevented her from having a relationship with Bobby. Despite Cas being dead for most of the early season and Dean wanting nothing to do with Jack he somehow prevented Cas from bonding with Jack. Despite Dean having gone to purgatory and hell, Sam had plenty of opportunities to step up and lead but he chose to follow, but somehow Dean still prevented that too. Does Dabb even hear himself when he talks.
  13. Two episodes. I knew Dabb and co. were lazy. It sounds like its Dabb's excuse to focus on every character not named Dean. After all somehow Dean's non-presence in most of the last two seasons somehow prevented Cas from bonding with Jack, and Mary from shacking up with Bobby. Dean's gone what 3 weeks and his so-called family is already looking for 'breathing room"
  14. There have been sightings of Jared and Jensen filming together for episode 4. Also I follow Jason Fischer on Twitter and he posts the scenes their filming. He recently answered a question that scene number like A13 and 13 mean part of the scene could take place at a different location, either the other end of a phone call or a flash back. I've noticed this over the last couple of eps so I think its a safe bet Dean's back midway through ep 3 with flashbacks beginning in ep four.
  15. We already know there will be flashbacks those episodes won't be completely without Dean.
  16. It must have been taxing on the staff to write those two episodes. We already know that Deans' back by episode 4. So Dean's presence somehow prevents the show from writing scenes between Jack and Cas and Mary and Bobby? I've said before. Dabb sucks.
  17. Potential titles Supernatural - Episode 14.08 - Byzantium Supernatural - Episode 14.09 - The Spear Supernatural - Episode 14.10 - Nihilism Supernatural - Episode 14.11 - Damaged Goods Maybe The Spear will finally give us a mention of Michael's lance. https://www.spoilertv.com/2018/09/supernatural-episode-1408-1411-titles.html
  18. I always thought Bucky from the Asa Fox was an interesting character. (He was the guy that ran away). Something happens to one of the brothers and the other needs help to find him and for....reasons...Bucky is the only hunter available. I don't agree with this. Dean would trust Donna, Jody, Cas or Mary to have his back on hunts.
  19. After Sam's behavior in Fallen Idols, I have no sympathy for him here. He's the one that accepted Dean back. So maybe he should have the same expectations he expected from Dean in that episode and dropped the need to keep Dean on double secret probation.
  20. From a viewer standpoint the only side character I would miss would be Ketch. But I do agree I don't see Dean losing sleep over him, even if Michael kills him with Dean's meat suit because of all the people he hurt that Dean loves. If the show had Dean turning into even more of a depressed alcoholic over him, no matter how much I like the character/actor it would be over the top for me. From a viewer standpoint, I wouldn't miss any other character. I like Rowena but they woobiefied her too much for me after episode 19. I never bought she's be that distraught over Crowley's death. She hated Crowley. Whatever is wrong with you must be wrong with me too because it wouldn't bother me if Michael picked off the waywards one by one. Although storyline wise, why would Michael care about a bunch of teenagers with exactly one partially successful hunt under their belts because they're such a big threat or something. The only two waywards that have filmed so far are Jody and Kaia. Kaia was already killed for angst. While Dean would fell guilty he's not really attached to Kaia. Dean would be upset over losing Jody. Jody dying would be an organic way to get the waywards back into the story in the organic manner Dabb mentioned. *But unless Kim wanted to move on I don't see them killing off Jody. While I don't want to see Dean take on any more guilt, killing randoms, would make Dean feel guilty but there has to be something that creates a big emotional impact with viewers. Random guy number 3 isn't really going to do that. *Anyone at Charlotte this weekend? I wonder what Kim's mood was like.
  21. Innocents have died because of Sam and Dean, I guess this doesn't bother me so much. That and listening to David talk about his character at two cons I've been at. He thinks Ketch as been humbled as a result of being killed. For most of his life, he's lived according to the code of the British Men of Letters, but they don't exsist anymore so he's kind of lost and unsure of where to turn. He doesn't have that structure anymore, sort of like someone who is career Military and retires. Some have trouble adapting. David said Ketch wasn't looking for redemption so much as something else to focus on or believe in because right now he's kind of drifting. David seems like a really great guy in real life and he has some really interesting insights into his character even though he's only played him a short time.
  22. The only character I would miss is Ketch. I'm really enjoying their developing relationship. David and Jensen have some great chemistry together.
  23. I'd say its more likely Mary "It really is all about Me" Winchester is talking about herself but if Dean being gone leads to Sam getting to bond with Mary and discovering his place as leader of team free will, the show really is Simpsonizing Dean being gone. Because Sam's life is improving. How is this showing Dean is important when its really showing that Dean being gone is better for Sam. What exactly does Sam need Dean for?
