  1. One would think that with Dean's revelation about seeing what happened to Cas when he looks at Jack, Sam might get him some new clothes.
  2. This is true but if Sam isn't honest with Jack from the start, he's always going to question Sam's motives.
  3. I'm guessing he'll go dark for a few episodes in the middle of the season but toward the end he'll have to make a choice and he'll go back to the Winchesters.
  4. Part of me still wonders if Jack is playing a con. Because when Dean said he wanted to kill Jack he said he would be the one to do it if it went bad. Jack just told Sam that he said he wanted to kill him. It makes me question if he's trying to turn them against each other. I doubt it but it would be interesting if it was the direction the writers were headed.
  5. Actually, Dean doesn't know this. Because Sam has told him that his primary purpose for wanting Jack around was that they needed him and that Sam sees him as useful. Dean can't be faulted for thinking this if that is the only argument that Sam is presenting. It's also the reason Sam was pressuring Jack so hard to learn to control his powers so they could put them to work, Plus, Sam's approach is also harmful. Because Jack doesn't know Sam and Sam isn't being honest with him. Regardless if Sam's motivations are changing because Jack has no idea what they initially were if Sam doesn't come clean. . If Sam suddenly says, "hey Jack, now that you got control of your powers, how about helping us out." it should cause Jack to question again why Sam is so nice to him. . Tell Jack he cares about him but he also hopes at some point they can help them. Sam conveniently leaves this out. IMO, Sam's approach is more harmful because at least Jack knows exactly where he stands with Dean. If Dean says or does something good for Jack he'll know its genuine. But because Sam is not being honest about a big part of his reason for wanting Jack on their side, Jack will always question Sam's motivations.
  6. Watching the preview I really hope its not another kid has powers he can't control ep. But since these writers are about as subtle as a sledgehammer I'm guessing that is where it's headed.
  7. Because I believe the show really sees Sam as having the superior position. I mentioned it in the bitterness spoiler thread. They're trying to present Sam as some kind of saint where as Dean is a mean old meany. They're doing this through framing, dialogue and expressions. It's why I can't fully enjoy last nights episode because I know Dean will be made to pay for it in a major way.
  8. Because Dean was brainwashed since he was four years old that Sam is his responsibility. He was literally held responsible if something bad happened to Sam. Sam seems to have some memory blocks about that whole demon blood time. There was also the fact that Dean knew Sam for over 20 years. Jack has done nothing to prove he deserves a chance. Dean did try to support Sam. He gave Ruby multiple chances. He agreed to work with her. He even told Sam he could keep his secrets just stop lying. Then Sam lied about not lying. Then Sam told Dean he went to Ruby because she let him make his own choices. (Completely ignoring the fact that she didn't and manipulated him like a puppet but that's for another thread). Sam didn't go dark side until he started using his powers. He slide down that slippery slope to the point where Dean locked him up because he was becoming a danger to himself and others. The use of those powers was a big contributing factor to the start of an apocalypse. Now, Sam wants Dean to help him help Jack embrace his powers when in the end its what lead to Sam's downfall. So I can't blame Dean for not wanting to go there. So maybe, I sucked demon blood isn't the best argument for Sam to use here.
  9. Then Sam should have been honest with Jack, because Dean isn't wrong that a big part of Sam's motivation is to us him to get their mom back. When Jack asked Sam why he was being so nice, Sam talked about how he sees himself in Jack and said he wanted to help him control his powers. No mention that he hopes that Jack can open the rift again. IMO, its manipulative. So if Jack ends up thinking Sam is using him, that's on Sam.
  10. Sorry, I should have said Dean's prayer to Chuck. What I meant when I said Cas was that, Cas said before he could hear Dean's prayers so I was wondering about Cas not responding to Dean's prayers when he responded to Jack reaching out. Like I said, I most likely misread the scene.
  11. you and @Katy M are probably right. On first viewing it looked like Cas responded to Jack but not Dean's prayer. Now I'm wondering, is Jack reaching out to Cas because if he brings him back he knows he can get Dean's approval.
  12. Like I said I found the end confusing. I don't even know if it was Jack.
  13. I know they are setting Dean up for a major fall because his valid view points are often invalidated but I'll enjoy it while it lasts. Goes back and watches first and last season again.
  14. Sam really needs to stop blaming others, specifically Dean, for peoples actions. If Jack goes darkside its on Jack. × Why does it matter if Dean doesn't like Jack. If Sam is so wonderful with him, them then shouldn't that be enough for Jack to believe in himself. If Sam is forming this great and wonderful bond with Jack, shouldn't his opinion matter more to Jack? Also the end was a little confusing. Is Cas responding to Jack? Because if he responds to Jack and not Dean that won't put Cas in the best light. Jensen why must you constantly break my heart.
  15. That last scene was great. I also liked Dean standing up for himself at the start, and telling Sam want for. No Sam Dean does not have to stay and babysit. Apparently Sam thinks its perfectly okay for him to leave the bunker. I did like that was go to see Dean us his smarts again. He can make a weapon out of anything.
  16. Supernatural‘s recent Scooby-Doo tease has me hungry for more “Scooby Snax” about the big “crossover” episode. Got any to share? —Lou After the Scooby-Doo nod in last Thursday’s episode, I think we all know to whom this is referring: “There’s a certain amount of expertise [by] a certain brother about what Scooby world is. We have fun with that,” exec producer Brad Buckner says of the show’s “charming and very funny” upcoming crossover with the animated classic. But more importantly, what’s faster — Dean’s beloved Impala or the Mystery Machine? “You’ll get a chance to see. Depends who’s driving it, I guess,” star Jared Padalecki says. http://tvline.com/2017/10/26/blindspot-season-3-spoilers-jane-tasha-undercover-disguises/
  17. Dean still is a threat though, because he still wants Jack dead and has not hidden that fact or the fact that he's still looking for a way to kill him.
  18. If he's acting out of self preservation shouldn't be more concerned about the direct threat from Dean?
  19. I wasn't sure of the best place to post this, but some of the opinions on this tumblr post might be unpopular I thought the best place was here. http://electric-sympathy.tumblr.com/post/166763448825/the-combined-attitude-of-this-show-and-fandom It basically sums up my thougths and feelings on the way Dabb and Co. are handing the Jack storyline. I'd like to add my name to that list who think Dabb is the worst thing that ever happened to this show. I won't copy and paste the whole because there is one part that may or may not be a spoiler. So I'll err on the side of caution. But if you avoid spoilers its vague enough to be considered speculation.
  20. Answering in the bitter spoiler thread just to be safe.
  21. The problem with this whole connection with Cas is that he was brainwashed by Jack last season. His connection to Jack is similar to Dean's and Amara's. I'm hoping this will be addressed.
  22. He even tells Sam that he had to grow up because him mom said the world was dangerous. The means he's capable of making complex decisions. That' shows he's not as naive or as clueless as the show is trying to pretend. It can't be a nature vs nurture debate if the show ignores his nature side. Saintly McSainterton characters are just as one note as mustache twirling Villains. If it was any other show, I would almost wonder if Jack was running a long con. But these writers aren't capable of a layered character, let alone a layered storyline.
  23. http://tvline.com/2017/10/25/supernatural-spoilers-season-13-dean-jack/ This is what I don't understand. Last season Jack refused to let Kelly die, and brainwashed Cas to make sure he was born with his powers fully intact. He was defending before he was even born. Dean wants to kill him. Shouldn't his survival instinct be kicking in? Based on what we knew of the character from last season shouldn't he be going after the person trying to kill him. I feel like with Jack the show wants to ignore and/or pretend the Lucifer side doesn't exist, becasue they've done a complete 180 with the character since last season.
