  1. "If Bethenny's products were as successful as she says they are she wouldn't be doing the show" She is bound by her contract with Beam for 7 years of publicity by what it is called a back-end deal. David Kanbar, her partner, didn't have the commitment so he took her money all up front and moved on to new projects. Bethenny took the risk and signed a back-end deal that would last 7 years, the contract was signed March of 2011, she still has some more months to go. Just about another year. Bethenny as part of the deal commits herself to keep promoting SGC in any show that she is part of, by doing so she is honoring her contract. She left RHNY after season 3 because she had her own show BEA where she could do the promotion. After that she got her talk show but that lasted a season, she needs a mean to actively promote the cocktails and that is why she came back to RHNY. At least until 2018, It has always fascinated me to read about the BEAM & SGC deal so I read most of the articles published at a time where they explained this kind of contract. She received most the money the first three years but her contract ties her to the cocktail line for 7 years. Beam could decide to cut Bethenny completely out of Skinny Girl Cocktails next year, but Bethenny was sure to include in her contract that this only pertains to the cocktails, any other product still belongs to Bethenny. IMO I doubt that Bethenny is on the show for the salary they pay her, she is for the free publicity opportunity she has for her products.
  2. IMO that was not insensitive, it was hypocritical. Luann has had a colorful past full of sexual escapades, during three seasons she has made a point of enjoying her sexual freedom and good for her, she made no apologies about the fact that she liked sex", she didn't even flinch an eye when she was told that one of her companions was married, after all, it didn't matter, it was a hook up anyway. One of many, going to the bathroom at Beautique seemed like a common experience for her. Luann clutching her pearls and acting as if the conversation about sex, as tawdry as it was, was horrifying to her was laughable. It was not long ago that Luann was the "be cool, don't be uncool" lady. Now that Luann is married she has become too good to talk about sex and that is what I find laughable.
  3. Just wait It is definitely coming, it never fails, LOL
  4. Luann, "I have a husband" We KNOW Luann, we KNOW!!
  5. She is not everybody's cup of tea, she knows it and has said it herself. She is in touch with reality and will not change to please the viewers and I respect that. I like Bethenny but more than like I admire her hustle. Bravo has these misogynistic shows to showcase the worst of these women, the most humiliating the moment the better the ratings and Bravo loves it, all franchises, Bravo thrives in the drama and bad behavior of these women. Bethenny has the clarity of mind to come to the show as part of her business platform. Bethenny is IMO the only one who has played the game the way it was supposed to be played, she negotiated with Bravo adding the "Bethenny clause" where her salary would not be that big but Bravo will have no profit from any product she came up with, she took a huge chance, a huge bet specially for someone like her who needed the money more than the other HW, but it paid hugely. Nobody expected her level of success, if Bravo could have gotten their dirty paws on that BEAM deal, they sure would have scored a big hit. She uses the show to promote her products, she networks, she promotes, she has a purpose by being on the show, yes, there are moments that are embarrassing and humiliating but at least she knows that it is the price to pay for giving publicity to her products. Bethenny has made a fortune, more than any other Bravo HW, I am not saying she is the richest, just that she has made more money by being on Bravo than any other HW, this didn't happen by chance, it took a lot of hard work and hustle, so now that she can enjoy the fruits of her labor I am happy for her.
  6. Ellen was the motor behind asking Bethenny to move to LA due to the easy access to celebrities and resources. Had she been in LA her talk show might have been different, after all the tryout season of 3 months in LA did very well. Jason, of course, felt emasculated so Bethenny will never know if her show could have had a different fate. WW is not likable yet she still has a show, Katie Couric talk show also flopped, there are many likable talk show hosts that only have one season or two.
  7. Bethenny didn't live with her father on her teens, Bethenny lived with her mother and stepfather all throughout her HS years in a boarding school but she probably had to comply with visitations of some sort, much like most kids of divorced couples have to do. By the time she was 18/19 and just graduated from HS her mother and Parisella split out and got divorced, Parisella walked away and this is what Bethenny was mad at him for, even though he was not the biological father, that is the position that Bethenny gave him and he just walked away leaving her with Bernadette. Bethenny has always said that she had more of an emotional connection with John than her mother or father, economically they provided for her but emotionally not so much. Bethenny wanted to try her hand at acting and her father was on the West Coast so that is when she reunited with him, he allowed her to live in his house, his girlfriend was almost the same age as Bethenny so they got along well, but as far as her father there was no attempt on his part to have any kind of meaningful relationship with Bethenny, no emotional connection so after living with him for a short while she got her own place and got on with her short-lived acting career, these are the time when she was a nanny for the Hilton sisters. While there might be an occasional picture of Bethenny with a birthday cake, we do not know if this is just a fluke, something threw together at the last moment, maybe it pales in comparison to what her classmates had and that is how Bethenny remembers it. Bethenny has said that while everybody went back home for vacation, she rather go to her friend Terry's house. That speaks volumes to me. If what Bethenny has mentioned is not enough, the proof is in the interviews that Bernadette has given, she is vicious, her words speak loud and clear more than anything Bethenny has ever said.
  8. Let's also point that the restraining order has been extended until the trial takes place. This means that not only they found enough evidence to place an initial RO but now they are extending it and adding more charges to it. So much for opinions, one way or the other. The only standing fact so far is that the State of NY and the DA has found enough evidence to issue and extend a RO to protect Bethenny from this unhinged. man.
  9. Jason had absolutely nothing and I repeat, nothing to do with the sale of Skinnygirl cocktails, that was just merely a plot line for the show to create some storyline because the negotiations between the real ones could not be disclosed. Bethenny needed to showcase the production plant in Canada and so what better than to bring Jason with her and try to tie it up to show how the final sale came about. David Kanbar was the real mastermind of the whole deal and he had his first meeting with Bethenny a couple of weeks before Bethenny and Jason met for the very first time. This link has the name of the real team that represented Bethenny and Kanbar http://www.americanlawyer.com/id=1202487549110/Bethenny-Frankel-Taps-Sheppard-Mullin-for-Skinnygirl-Sale?slreturn=20170511215118 Jason is a pharmaceutical salesman, not even a great one at that, to even imply that he would have anything to do with such a high-level negotiation is preposterous. Jason's name is never and will never be found in any of the negotiations of Skinnygirl cocktails. Kanbar and Bethenny had a deal and they carry it like a charm, it took them about two years to complete it and just because Jason became Bethenny's BF towards the end of that deal doesn't mean that he in any way contributed to it.
  10. Bethenny was pretty calm when Kelly confronted her and that was many, many seasons ago. I think in this case there is no point in arguing with crazy.
  11. Is it possible that I am ever more mad at this than that verbal diarrhea against Bethenny? What was she trying to do with the light fixtures? why did she need to bring them down? I just can't with Ramona. That flippant attitude when Dorinda mentioned it to her is so despicable and the way she changed the subject was so dismissive. She should have apologized to Dorinda, explain herself and beg Dorinda to please send her the bills so she could take care of it and then continue apologizing. I can't even imagine the fit Ramona would throw if anybody goes to her Hamptons house and does the kind of damage she did. If I was Dorinda I definitely would never invite Ramona again, who could blame her?
  12. Back to memory lane and watching these reruns remind me why I dislike Luann so much. Such an arrogant, pompous ass playing the role of a Countess, between Luann, Jill or Kelly I am not sure who is more despicable.
  13. I wish Alex would have had the guts to ask Simon to take a back seat and let her do this by herself, he could have been the supportive husband but take a back seat. ( ala Bobby Zarin, or Jonathan) Alex was an educated woman, but she did seem pretentious on her talks with Simon. Alex's best moments are when she was calmed and relaxed, definitely not well under pressure. Simon became a liability and that was the demise of Alex.
  14. IMO the issue between Jill and Alex had to do with Bethenny. Before season 3 started taping Jill had made up her mind that she was going to isolate Bethenny, Jill was pitching a spinoff between Jill and Bethenny and Bravo was not having it, they wanted a spin off with Bethenny alone, Jill went mad with jealousy and went on with her bad mouthing of Bethenny. According to Ramona (S3 reunion), Jill sent an e-mail to all the other cast members and asked them to refuse to film with Bethenny, according to Jill that would force Bravo to fire Bethenny and she could go on and have her spin-off show. Ramona was the wild card and he thought Alex would be by her side because Jill had all the social connections that Alex wanted. It must have come as a surprise to Jill that Alex chose to be on Bethenny's side so she clearly was out for blood. Alex put a target on her own head when she confronted Jill and everything that came after that was just a payback.
  15. That is where I think Jason made a huge mistake. Had he been the supportive husband that he portrayed to be on screen Bethenny would had put the world at his feet. His insecurities got on his way. He got resentful of her success and being known as Mr. Frankel. His ego couldn't take it and that is when he started snipping at her and using her childhood traumas to punish her for his lack of success in a very passive aggressive way. He started demanding and by the looks of it (trust for the apartment) he was not the most honest person. He probably felt the marriage was not going to last and decided to take matters into hands in the event of the divorce. He hit the lottery (financially) and was not about to let that go. I hate to think that he got with her since the get go just to hitch his start to hers but it really looks like that. Bethenny is strong and business minded but emotionally she was extremely needy, she wanted a family ( of her own, not his) and she craved for a child, it was the perfect ground for Jason. There are many husbands who support their wives on their rise to fame and success, they take a step back and support from the sidelines just like many wives do. Jason didn't want to be on the sidelines, he wanted to be a partner, even when he didn't know much about the alcohol industry, he wanted to direct her staff, Bethenny wanted to make him her CEO, he didn't want that, he wanted to be an equal partner and that was not going to happen. He got extremely irritated at her when she told him that one way or another if he chose to work for her she would be in charge. Jason has too traditional vision of what a wife should be, he is going to be the perfect husband for some Hazleton girl who will let him take control of everything. He should marry of a girl from his hometown and live happily ever after. Instead he has chosen the path of destruction and harassment that will not end well.
  16. Bethenny came up with the idea and entered the show determined to have a platform to promote it wayyyy before she met Jason. She was with Jason Colodne when she started promoting her bakes and cookies, it was season 1 when she ordered her first SGM on screen, she came with the concept, she went to every store to try to get them to prepare her cocktail, may failures, many tears, many rejections, it wasn't until Frangelico agreed to have her cocktail on the line that Bethenny managed to drag every one of her coworkers to Frangelico just so she could order her cocktail. She worked tirelessly to create the buzz for it. Whether her cocktails during that charity event had a logo on it or not, the fact is that they already were bottled and she managed to produce at least 20 boxes of it and have signage to promote it (big source of riff between Bethenny and Jill). Plus she already had two bestsellers under her belt. That charity event happened at the beginning of October 2008, Mr. Hoppy was not even in the picture. Bethenny had her meeting with Mr. Kanbar at the beginning of November (according to lawsuit files) and then towards the end of the month she met Jason at an event where she was signing and promoting her cocktails for Tenjune. Bravo had their season 2 reunion in March and by April there were already rumors circulating about Bethenny getting her spin off show, it was going to be like a "Skinnygirl in the city" as someone mentioned above, nobody knew about Jason, her friends didn't even knew his name, they called him Mr. Tenjune. Bethenny already had 2 bestsellers, had a deal with Mr. Kanbar to expand the production line and make it profitable and sell it to a big liquor company and had already been offered a spin off , all of that on her own without any help from Mr. Hoppy. It was a huge mistake that Bethenny didn't look into Jason's ulterior motives. She fell for it and she is now paying for it.
  17. This is true, they met for the first time in the same month that Bethenny (after having tried for months and months and even having to hire a firm to make it possible) finally had a meeting with David Kanbar. This is the origin of the first lawsuit against Bethenny, the firm sued her because they were able to secure the meeting with Kanbar after months of negotiations. But by Bethenny and Jason own admission their relationship was not a serious relationship until June of the next year, they had agreed to still see other people and have other options, it was Jason who said he had to put his foot down and force her to choose. Bethenny chose to take Jason with her on this trip to Turcos and Caicos (at the beginning of June) and this is the trip that Jill was so upset about and had driven Bethenny crazy because she wanted to go. That was the trip that sealed their relationship and made it exclusive. David Kanbar is a mogul of the alcohol industry, for him to even accept to have a meeting with Bethenny that meant that Bethenny already had a viable product, he would not meet with her just to discuss ideas or ifs. Bethenny had already come up with the product, produce it on small scale and had a small line of production and distribution. Remember Jill charity event where Bethenny stocked the bar with SGM? that all happened when Jason hadn't met Bethenny. Bethenny needed David Kanbar to take her product to the next level and expand her production line. SGM was going to happen whether Jason was in the picture or not. Matter of fact it was at the insistence of David Kanbar that Bethenny was forced to have Jason signed the prenup. Mr. Kanbar saw through Jason's real intentions before even Bethenny, he wanted to protect the SGM products and he was savvy to do that, if it wasn't for him Bethenny would have never been able to sell her line of cocktails because Jason would have had a say in it and that would have complicated things.
  18. I am not a notary but I doubt that you can get a license without knowing specific rules. Mrs. Hoppy surely had to know that she should not have notarized anything for her son, especially when it involved financial gain for him. I am sure all notaries have to pass some kind of test to be certified or have a license to notarize. https://www.nationalnotary.org/file library/nna/reference-library/notary_code.pdf (National Notary Code) II-B-5: Notarization for Close Relative Improper The Notary shall decline to notarize the signature of a close relative or family member, particularly a spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling, son, daughter or grandchild of the Notary, or a stepchild, stepsibling, stepparent, step-grandparent or stepgrandchild of the Notary. Illustration: The Notary is asked by the Notary’s father to notarize a document that specifies desired medical treatment in the event the father becomes unable to make such decisions. The Notary is not mentioned in the document. The Ethical Imperative: The Notary declines to notarize and asks the father to have a Notary who is unrelated and truly disinterested notarize the document. It will thereby be rendered less open to challenge and the charge that undue influence was exerted on the signer by a family member. https://www.nationalnotary.org/notary-bulletin/blog/2014/10/faq-where-can-notaries-use-their-commissions This link is about notarizing out of state documents. Carole was not allowed to notarized anything outside of Pensylvania and she knew it. Don't you have to take a basic test to be able to notarize? I mean if it was that simple every body would be a notary, right? At any rate the judge had the final word so he found the trust to be invalid due to the many irregularities, that is not up to interpretation.
  19. Being called by your mother's name is not a criminal behavior , in Bethenny's specific case, it is worse than that IMO, it is an emotional abuse than nobody should tolerate. This is not a simple mistake that poor Jason made, this is an intentional hurtful dig at her because he knows how hurt Bethenny is about her childhood. Jason knows Bethenny's worst fears, he knows that she has vowed to break the cycle of abuse and give her daughter a better childhood than she had. So far Bethenny has made her daughter the center of her world and that puts her miles ahead of her mother. Jason calling her Bernardette only confirms to me that Jason is and always was an a#$ole , he was performing the role of the nice, wonderful and supportive husband for the cameras, his Dr. Jekill, but as soon as the cameras were gone he became the Mr. Hyde that he always was. This side of Jason is what is deceitful, he knew that he had to look good for the cameras so when they split he could contest the prenup that he signed. It doesn't matter really because for those who hate Bethenny, it wouldn't matter if the judge would convict him for harassing and stalking, they will always find a way to blame Bethenny for it. Jason and only Jason is responsible for his own actions, Jason and his mother colluded to commit fraud and notarized a document that would allow him to squat in an apartment that wasn't his, that is not gossip, that is a fact. Between exaggeration (Bethenny) and criminal behavior (Jason and his mother) I will put my faith on Bethenny every single time.
  20. IMO there is a huge difference between being positive and being delusional. i.e If Tom were to lose all his money and Luann stays with him with a smile on her face and they are both committed to each other that to me is a positive person. There is even photographic evidence about Tom kissing another woman and there are other women coming out of the woodworks talking about his affairs and how he pushes himself into other women. There is evidence and pattern. Luann is 100% entitled to play blind and be as delusional as she wants to be, but she can't ask the rest of the world, let alone her coworkers to play the blind game with her. If she wants that then it is very simple, pull a Dorinda, take Tom and love story out of the equation and call it a day. Luann wants to have her cake and eat it too, she wants to parade and sell her love story, she says that Tom is private but he has filmed in many scenes this season, not only with the other cast members but also just with her. Luann and Luann only has made Tom her story line for two seasons so she has no room to complain when her love story does take central stage. Instead of insulting her cast mates maybe she should ask Tom to be more discrete and not drag her name through the mud. Luann denying that it will happen again is not about being "positive", it is about being delusional
  21. Luann married Tom fully knowing that he is a serious philanderer so when he cheats on her (he most definitely will) I don't want to hear Luann whining and saying "why me?" and "how could he do this to me" Nobody needs to open Luann's eyes, her eyes are fully open, she knows that Tom is doing and she has decided that living in that penthouse is more important than her dignity so just let her be.
  22. I do. It has much more to do with Jason's entitled attitude and his level of cruelty throughout the divorce, but his parents were not the innocent people they portrayed on TV. Jason's father paraded himself in his underwear in front of Bethenny's office crew and one time even in front of a radio crew who had come to interview Bethenny, this is in some of the divorce documents. Jason's mother fraudulently notarized documents that allowed Jason to squat in her apartment for as long as he did. The judge had to throw the trust away and that is how come Jason had to vacate the property but it took several years. This is not her say, there are court documents to prove it. This only tells me that the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Jason and his parents only pretended to be good and decent people in front of the cameras, when the cameras were not rolling they were completely different.
  23. You mean until she screwed with some pirates? Jaques probably was not into the whole open marriage idea that Luann seems to enjoy. I agree with you that Luann is pretty happy. It doesn't matter to her that Tom goes regularly to the Regency, all she has to do is go to the terrace of his apartment and look at the view and any sign of unhappiness just disappears. For someone like Luann loyalty is not important, materials things that she can boast about are what really matters. So in that sense, she is happy. She has the apartment in NYC and for her that counts much more than any kind of outdated sense of loyalty.
  24. LOL, didn't mean for it to sound uncaring. I just don't just much patience for this kind of crap.
  25. I went to Ramona's website and clicked on her Pinot Grigio link to buy a bottle and this is what came up http://www.vintagegrape.net/sku094523.html "Thank you for shopping at Vintage Grape, unfortunately we are unable to locate the product you are purchasing.
