  1. What an emotional recount from the cast. Loved the background and especially how involved the unknown soldier became. Even though he bent the knee, he still talks about Jon like his king. Love that part.
  2. I think Jon has made perfect;y clear that "he doesn't want it" IMO Jon would be 100% happier hanging with the wildings than being King and hanging with the court of Kings Landing. I think his ending was perfect, once he found the courage to do what was best for Westeros and kill a woman who was not going to ever stop conquering cities with her Dracarys style.
  3. I am sure Jon will be sometimes at Castle Black and just spend a few weeks there but his real home will be with the wildings. It was mainly done to appease Grey Worm and company but maybe Tyrion played a little bit on how little the Unsullied and Dotraki know about Westeros culture and how the NW basically has ceased to exist, so all the more power to Jon. The wildings already respect him and admire him. Tormunds gets to be his right hand. I was happy to hear that Arya and Sansa both fought hard for Jon but there needed to be concessions made and this solution fits the bill.
  4. I like that, the King beyond the Wall, his sister Sansa is his neighbor being the QITN so they can have regular meetings and trades, learn to cohabitate, the North and the Free Folk. His brother is the King of the six kingdoms and that also works to the advantage of the Wildings. Jon gets to be King in all but name. I like that. The Wildings are upfront and not so much into politics and double talking so this suits Jon's style perfectly.
  5. I absolutely loved her coronation. Nobody has worked as hard as Sansa for an independent North. I believe she would have asked the same of Jon if he was named King. My hope for her is that she gets to be the Elizabeth of the North. After all she has been through I don't think she ever wants to be with a man again. When Arya gets done traveling she can settle (not marry) and have babies with Gendry, babies who will be Starks or maybe even after Bran pardons Jon, then Sansa can give him the Stark name and Jon's children could be her heirs.
  6. IMO Jon was sentenced to go to the NW to appease the Unsullied who wanted to kill him but his brother is the King of the six kingdoms and his sister the QITN so I am sure he basically gets to go and do as he pleases up North. I went from liking Grey Worm to intensely dislike him. Hopefully, Jon will find himself a nice wilding girl that can keep him company. Jon, Tormund and Ghost future adventures put a smile on my face. In a few years, Bran will pardon him, Sansa will give him a hold in the North and he can finally live and peace, marry and maybe even have kids. JMO
  7. You are not alone, come sit by me. I think that Ned would be mighty proud of his children and so am I.
  8. I was sort of hoping for some remorse on Daenerys' part, some acknowledgment that what she did was horrible on all levels, but not one ounce of it, none. Her grandiose discourse was scary as shit. She believed her own delusions and thought she was the only one who knew better what was right for the people of the whole world. She was dangerous and needed to die. I am glad Jon had the courage to do it.
  9. OMG, the look of pure happiness when Jon hugged Ghost was everything.
  10. Game of Thrones I have read the books, I have watched the show faithfully, more than once. I am going to miss this. I was so enthralled with this story and for me, it has been perfect. Thanks to GOT for providing this wonderful source of escapism.
  11. I sure hope so. Somebody has to, just might well be Arya to save her family. Arya will have to save Sansa and probably Bran as well. God knows Jon won't move a finger except to kiss Daenerys' feet.
  12. She knew. Tyrion explained it to her and she agreed. Grey Worm was there as a witness She fully knew what the ringing of the bells meant. She made the executive decision to kill civilians and destroy the city despite the surrender. Now I understand why Bran needed Jon to know about his birth, he probably wanted to avoid this, he just couldn't figure out that Jon would become another of her yes man. All the signs have been there for anyone who cared to see but most viewers were in love with her and her dragons so the signs were dismissed. She has said it dozen on times. It has come from her own mouth: Fire and Blood, burn city to ashes, burn cities to the ground. All part of her promises. Tonight she did well on her promises of seven seasons.
  13. Sansa is the only one who saw who Daenerys really was and had the cojones not to bend the knee (figuratively) That is why she irritated Daenerys so much, her fake flattery went nowhere with Sansa. Sansa was able to see that Danerys was just an improved version of Cersei but a tyrant nonetheless. Sansa was right, no one, no kingdom will ever be able to have any kind of freedom or remain with any kind of dignity for as long as Daenerys sits on the throne. Like she told Jon, "Fear it is" Sansa death is coming but I am glad that at least someone stood up to her. At least Sansa can say that she will die with her dignity intact.
  14. He has given interviews saying that while Westeros was fighting their petty wars for the throne while the two major threats: White Walkers and Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons were getting ready to attack Westeros. He has given this interviews years ago so this is no news for him and this is the ending he has always wanted except with the path to get there. GRRM created the perfect sympathetic villain, the one who the good looks, the seemly right claim, the one who liberated slaves even if she didn't have a plan to help them or rule them afterward, but none of that makes her less than a villain, one who believes it is her destiny to liberate Westeros from a villain Cersei, all the while she is a villain herself, one with a weapon of mass destruction in the form of a dragon.
  15. He might be sane but he is a wimp not fit to rule. He stood by while she burned a man to his death for the sin of telling the truth, that she was not the rightful heir to the throne. He stood there and said absolutely nothing. After witnessing that, he still went to cuddle her and comfort her and even kiss her. In my eyes, he is just as bad as she is. He needs to go and live a simple life knowing that thousands upon thousands of people have died by the hands of a woman he vouched for. I have no respect for Jon Snow, none!
  16. Tyrion wanted Jaime to convince Cersei to surrender and ring the bells so there would be no attack. His mission was to get to Cersei and have her run away with him. Tyrion obviously thought that Daenerys would honor her word about stopping an attack if there was a surrender. She never did. So much for demanding people to give her word of honor, her word is worth shit. Varys was killed because he knew about Jon's birth and was trying to spread the news. It won't be only him. Next, it will be Tyrion for releasing Jaime, Then it will be Sansa for telling Tyrion, heck why stop there she probably will get Bran and Sam to be on the safe side. If it comes down to it she will kill Jon too. Nobody gets in between Daenerys and her throne, nobody!
  17. There is no character assassination at all. Daenerys has said since her first season that she will get the Iron Throne with Fire and Blood, that she will burn cities to the ground to get what was stolen from her. This is what Fire and Blood look like, this is what a city burned to the ground means. She has never lied, she just did what she said she was going to do.
  18. Probably not, Jon loves his Queen and didn't blink an eye when Varys was burned to a crisp. I hope he knows that the next one in front of Drogon is going to be Sansa. He probably won't care, as long as Daenerys gets to sit on her throne we all should be happy.
  19. There you have it Jon, the woman that you vouched for. Your Queen!! I blame Jon as much as Daenerys for this massacre, he gave her his blessing, he became his yes man, they all are guilty, including Tyrion. They knew she was a woman on a quest for revenge with a savior complex and with dragons. None of them did nothing to stop her. They all have blood on their hands
  20. Arya, you are my only hope at this point, You must take this crazy woman down. This was not justice, this was mass murder. At this point, Daenerys was no better than Cersei
  21. Queen Daenerys Stormborn Welcome to your kingdom of fucking ashes!!
  22. Wouldn't that be Jon's job though? Sansa is the Lady of WF, why would she have that information, it would be more a question of common sense. You do not send recovering troops to another battle right away. Sansa had to remind her that these troops were her troops as well, as a Queen she should be looking for their welfare too. How about Grey Worm, how about Davos, how about the Dotraki guy at the meeting, Jon doesn't count because he has become a simpering fool around her, wouldn't they have the common sense to know that answer? They probably knew their troops needed rest but they are all Daenerys yes men so nobody was asking the evident question and Sansa did it. Daenerys has surrounded herself with such advisors, none of them good, they are either scared of her, in love with her or not used to question her at all. Jorah's common sense might have helped but then again Daenerys only does what she wants regardless of any advise given so the monumental mistakes that have cost her a dragon, some ships and her best friend fall squarely on her shoulders. Sansa didn't lose her a dragon, didn't lose her Missandei, didn't lose her ships. Daenerys managed to do that all on her own.
  23. Cersei wins one way or the other. I think Cersei realizes that is over, there is no way she can hold onto power so she is going with a bang. She is using people as human shields, she still has catches of wildfire all around the city and she is consciously baiting Daenerys to attack and burn the city to the ground. Like Tyrion told her, she hates the people of KL so she doesn't care if they live or die. The issue at hand is why is Daeneys taking the bait? Strategically she has taken all the wrong decisions, she could have scouted, she could have stopped at the Vale and organize from there, she could have retaken Riverrun back from the Lanisters who are now huddle up in KLs, she could have communicated with the new prince of Dorne and ask for more people, communicate with Daario and ask him to send more of her armies in Essos. She could have gone to battle much better prepared and still have Rhaegal and Missandei by her side. They have a plan that doesn't include the use of dragons, Tyrion has warned her since last season that there is wildfire all over the city and that is why they haven't attack KL as soon as they arrived. Her best weapon at this point would have been to surround Cersei on all fronts, have all the other kingdoms on her side and surround KL, block all services and food deliveries, every day she doesn't attack cost Cersei money for the soldiers of the GC. Then wait for the people inside the city to start a riot because they are starved. This is the strategy that basically was going to win her the throne, it would be slower but it would avoid mass murdering of civilians. Once it is over she sweeps the city and sets food delivery immediately for the people, maesters for the injured, orphanages, etc. She did exactly the opposite, made rush decisions that have cost her another one of her dragons and her best friend and now she is enraged and ready to retaliate which is exactly what Cersei wants. Cersei wants her to set her dragons on the city, she wants the city to burn to ashes so once Daenerys finally wins the war her reign will be tainted forever. She would be the queen who burned the city to the ground with 1M-1/2M people inside it, how do you recover from that? how would she feel about that? Daenerys has backed herself into a corner and it all could have been prevented.
  24. Dany should have never asked Jon to hide the truth of his birth to anyone, let alone his sisters. Period. The only who benefits from hiding the truth is Daenerys, this lie would make her claim uncontested. Why does Jon have to lie, if she loves him truly, why would she wanted him to lie? Wouldn't it be better for the whole Targaryen line to let everybody know that Rhaegal was not a rapist who kidnapped Lyanna, but hat he truly loved her and married her? Wouldn't it be best for the realm to know that Robert's rebellion was based on a lie? Wouldn't it be better for Jon that he acknowledges his real parents but still gets to call himself Ned Stark son? That Jon and she get to be the new face of the Targaryen line together? The only reason why Daenerys wanted Jon to swear everyone to secrecy was so she could be the only ruler, Jon loves her blindly so he, of course, can't see how mess up this is, the woman you love is asking you to live the rest of your life hiding your true identity because she can't share the power. The woman who says she loves you wants to base the future of your relationship based on a lie. That to me is the real tragedy of this episode.
  25. Sansa only wants to be Lady of WF, she doesn't want the throne or Tyrion. let her stay in WF. The best solution IMO would be: 1)Dany and Jon (no dragons) rule together as monarchs but with a council of seven giving all the kingdoms some form of independence but under their supervision. 2) Jon and Dany (with Drogon) set up a council of seven and give each kingdom their independence (breaking the wheel) and they fly to an unknown place where they can be happy ever after) Both of these solutions would imply relinquishing power which IMO Jon will be happy to do but not Daenerys. What would be the purpose of going thru this much war and deaths if at the end there would be one ruler for the IT. Nothing would have changed. Somehow I always thought that the end of the series would be a change from monarchic ways to more democratic ones.
