The problem is that one of them is or pretends to be a queen, the other one is not. One has the power, the other one has not. Sansa was asking for some time for her soldiers to recover, it was a perfectly reasonable request. Dany took it as an insult and decided to put her foot down. Her advisors are obviously not willing to contradict her so they keep quiet (Tyrion & Varys) or support her (Jon) so they go along with her plan even if they probably know that the suggestion to recover is a sound one. That has always been my major issue with Daenerys, her little willingness and desire to learn, for all claims that the IT is her destiny, she is going there very ill-prepared to be the queen that the people need, she hardly listens to her advisors and then when it doesn't go her way she blames them. She should have given her soldiers time to recover, recruit more men from the Vale, Dorne, and Highgarden and overpower their numbers. As long as she gets the throne she doesn't seem to care about the casualties along the way and that is what makes her dangerous. Sansa IMO has seen this and has every right to give her the side eye. She has seen directly in Cersei what a woman mad for power is willing to do. I do not blame Sansa for thinking that Jon would be a better king,

Jon may be a half-Targaryen but he has been raised by Ned Stark and IMO that is what makes the whole difference. In that celebration scene I originally thought that Daenerys finally was coming to the realization that the people around Jon loves him and that he would be a wonderful king right along her, but in reality what she was thinking probably was "why can't they love me" Here we are trying to pass the blame on Jon, Sansa, Sam, Tyrion, Varys, Bran, everyone but the one who can make all this go away: Daenerys. Let it be no secret, proclaim loud and proud Jon's heritage and your willingness to share with him and rule together, problem solved. Absolutely. When Sansa suggested this Daenerys took it as an insult. Her arrogance will be her undoing. If she would have waited just a couple of weeks, she could have sent people to do some intel for her and realize the kind of welcoming party she would get and prepare accordingly. Now she is another dragon down, her fighters are tired and weary and Cersei knows this. The only one to blame for this is Daenerys. I am surprised that only Sansa pointed this out. Tyrion, Varys and Jon should have seen to this too.

He should rule because he is the rightful heir not because he has a penis. If Daenerys would be willing to share the power none of this would be an issue. Honestly, the one that should be asking Jon to marry her before they leave WF should be Daenerys, in that way any news of his birth turn irrelevant. Her unwillingness to share even a little bit of power is what worries me the most. She knows Jon loves her and would be a good king, why not? Jon's birth doesn't get to be a dirty secret just so she can have an uncontested claim, I am baffled that she even dare to ask.

Why would the Starks have to live a lie just so Daenerys can claim the throne? Why does Daenerys wish for the throne are more important that Jon's family? Jon doesn't even want the throne but this doesn't mean that he has to live the rest of his life pretending to be a bastard just so Daenerys gets the throne. If Daenerys really loves Jon she would never ask this of him. It is easy really, Daenerys lets the whole kingdom know that Jon is the rightful heir and they are getting married and ruling together. Jon rules the North and she rules the South. t would make everybody happy. She wants that throne more than she wants Jon, She is asking him to lie and deny his identity just so she can seat in that damned throne.

What is perplexing about this rightful heir to the IT to me is that not for one second did it cross Daenerys mind the idea of asking Jon to rule with her, to make him understand that they will be stronger together as co-rulers. A marriage of equals would be the best but that is obviously not what she wants, she wants him to not ever say a word and act just like her consort. Why? Why she is so hell-bent on being the only ruler? Jon definitely will let her do all the ruling and only make her consider her most drastic decisions. I am sure she loves him and wants to marry him but she doesn't want to share power with him? She should have never asked him to keep his identity a secret just so she can claim the throne alone. That was awfully selfish.

That is how I took it too. Tyrion is the hand of Queen Daenerys, Sansa wants independence for the North. Tyrion cannot serve two masters. They would have a conflict of interest. During the conversation between Sansa and Daenerys, Sansa was clear in her wording, "we defeat the NK, we defeat Cersei and then what? "We" as in being part of the same team. It feels like people cannot choose, it is one or the other. In my case, I would like to choose both. I would like Daenerys to sit on the IT provided she can be a different kind of ruler, but I also would like the North to be independent, they have gone through so much and I think that they can coexist as allies. Liking Daenerys doesn't prevent me from liking Sansa, but sometimes it does seem like if you like one then you must hate the other and that has never been the case for me. I think both have more in common so it is no wonder to me why they would want the same, they both want what was taken from their families and want to serve the people under their care. Now with Arya being a Stark of WF, I do hope that Daenerys considers the option to have the North as an alllied/partner/sort of independent like she gave the Iron Islands or how Aegon the Conqueror gave the kingdom of Dorne, there are precedents that she could take in consideration. JMO

Absolutely!! The whole realm owes the North a huge debt of gratitude. As much as I give Jon crap for being too rushed I do have to give him credit where credit is due. Jon was the first and almost only one who tried to tell everyone about this big threat and most of them took their sweet time believing him. He brought a lot of factions together otherwise this battle would have been lost before it started. For that, I think Jon's job is done. This was his mission and he was instrumental even if he didn't throw the last blow. If this didn't end the way it did, all the dead soldiers would have increased the AOTD by the ten of thousands making them unstoppable. from there to every single part of the realm, especially knowing that dragon-fire couldn't kill the NK. Terrifying if you ask me. Now onto bigger and better. I am hoping the new coalition can defeat Cersei quickly and swiftly.

I hope for both. Sansa has already told Dany that she should have thanked her the moment she arrived, so on that end, she has already acknowledged that Dany with her armies and dragons have helped not only the North but the whole realm. The WW was never a problem of just the North, they were the first ones on the line of fire it is true but Daenerys claims to be the protector of the whole realm so it is fitting that she was doing her job to protect the realm. I do hope that Arya receives the recognition she deserves, that they all know that it was a Stark who killed the NK, the North gets to be proud. I also hope they sing songs about the bravery of Lady Mormont and Theon Greyjoy. Also Jorah Mormont. They all made this possible.

Dany has ridden dragons for years, Jon only once before this. I can't really blame Jon for much during the battle. He did as much as Daenerys, Drogon is bigger and stronger than Rhaegal so it was meant to last longer. At the end it wasn't the dragons, it was BAMF Arya Stark.

I got the same impression. Jon told her that they will come to respect her when they got to know her. Now that she has proved her worth I have no doubt that the north will fight with her as Jon promised.

If it wasn't for Arya, they all would be dead. In the end, it wasn't Danaerys or Jon Arya should be the ruler of the seven kingdoms.

I don't think that Sansa has ever talked about what happened to her while she was married to Ramsey, not even Jon or Aya. Bran might have a hint but he will never say it. They probably know it was bad but not how bad. The only one who could possibly understand what a nightmare that was is Theon, Theon knows what Sansa went thru and Sansa knows what Theon went thru. at that moment when they hugged as I was crying all, I could think was "Damn you Ramsey, why did you have to cut Theon off, he would have been perfect for Sansa" This only means poor Theon is destined for death 😞

OMG. I had the worst possible feeling,, just because this is GOT and there can't be a happy ending, ever. Gendry and Theon will die, because there is no way that either Aria or Sansa could ever be happy. Same with Gray Worm. I only hope that Brienne lives and either Jaime or Tormund. Please D&D do not kill them both.

OMG, I was such a mess this episode. Sansa hug with Theon, I felt it in my heart. Podrick singing, Brienne being knighted. Just the perfect calm before the storm.

Uhmmm , that could work but I am not so sure that the Northern people would be happy to find out that the NK has an ice dragon now. When they hear that the reason why they lost the dragon was because Daenerys didn't want to help Jon and the North unless they could convince Cersei to help and that why they went into that foolish mission then they would be even more worried about their leaders. I mean that mission was completely idiotic if you ask me. Reasons: 1) They have bothered to spend time to catch a WW and show to Cersei but they haven't bother to show it to them who are in the direct line of fire. 99.5% on them are trusting Jon's word but have never come across one. 2) Now there is an ice dragon that can potentially decimate their troops in seconds. How do you even manage to protect from it. 3) After all that waste of time and effort, Cersei is still not coming. Maybe for right now that part should be better to leave under wraps.

When it comes to Jaime and Cersei this is my wish. When the WW take over WF and heads towards KL, Jaime gets there first and sees that Cersei is about to blow up KL with wildfire and just as he did with the Mad King, that he will kill Cersei (valongar) and stabs her in the heart so his sword (which I think is made in part of Ice from Ned) would become light bringer , the magical sword that will kill the NK. So Jaime would become Azor Ahai reincarnated, Jaime would the TPTWP and would vindicate his name. Then Jaime marries Brienne and they have beautiful babies. I know it is a long shot but it would hit all the prophesies on the spot. 🙂 I don't think that Cersei and Daenerys would ever meet again.
