I enjoyed the show for the most part today. Even Jake, JohnnyDevil, Gabi, Chad, as well as Clyde and Orpheus. And, not sure it it's because of the chemistry between him and Belle, but I'm really liking nu-EJ. The only weak part was Susan. Laughed though when I recalled someone on this forum, I think, saying last week Kristin had to go away so Stacy could put in the false teeth as Susan was coming back to Salem. Speaking of her teeth, thought she had them fixed when she took Kristen's place in prison. Guess it wasn't a permanent fix. LOL

Maybe I just wasn't in the mood to watch, but I couldn't take another round of Dimera CEO musical chairs, so turned it off.

From a couple pages back ... Loved seeing Jack and real-Jen these last couple of days, but the scenes of them with Abigail made me a bit sad, knowing these are probably the last scenes taped with the 3 of them. Missy may like "switching off" with Cady, but having faux-Jen at Abigail's funeral won't be nearly as powerful as if real-Jen was there. I think TPTB should have done whatever it took to get Missy to LA for the taping. JMHO, of course.

First the makeover, and then ... Will they go by Nipp or Trancy? LOL

That line is about the only good thing that's come out of this Sarah/Renee memory mixup. Kristin getting away with everything, disappearing for a bit, then coming back to do it all again, reminds me of the ridiculousness of the serial villains on the 60 tv comedies like Get Smart and Batman.

When I scanned that list of characters and actors since Ron's taken over, I realized it wasn't so much the new characters he'd created that I disliked, but the terrible recasts, such as Robin Strasser and Linda Dano as Vivian, and Judith Chapman as Diana Colville. So probably can't blame Ron for that. 😉

I got bored watching yesterday, and turned it off before the end. Hopefully I'll enjoy today's show more.

I think it would be great if she stays, or does the come and go thing. Ron's been hit or miss with the new characters he's created, IMO, but I really like Paulina and Chanel, and hope they will be permanent Salemites.

Not that I know of, I just doubt she's staying on indefinitely, In fact, I'm surprised she's still there, as I expected her to be gone after the wedding fiasco. But I hope she'll be around a lot longer, as I'm enjoying her presence on the show.

I thought it was interesting that we had 2 men today trying to convince others that they had changed. Both Leo and TR seemed like they believed what they were saying, but being a soap it's unlikely both were telling the truth. Of course the actors may not even know whether they are really redeemed or not. Part of me wonders if TR has changed and that when he leaves Salem, he and Paulina will be back together, and that's how Jackee will end her run. Course there has been scenes where darkness seems just below the surface, so he may not have changed at all. Guess we'll find out. Leo, on the other hand, I doubt has changed, and Craig is probably just the latest schemes and plotting. Interesting to see Tripp show some sign of ... anger? Wonder if his Vitali dark side is about to emerge. Would make him much more interesting, if it did. Getting tired of JohnnyDevil, but interesting to see real Johnny trying to fight his way back. Chanel will probably be happy with Allie when Johnny finally finds himself free of the devil. Trying to remember who else was on screen today, and oh, right, Lani and Eli. They make a pretty couple, but are so boring. Maybe this thing will Lani's bio Dad will give them an interesting storyline.

In all fairness to Ron, and I'm not positive about this, but I think script writers create the dialogue, not the head writer. But we can certainly blame Ron writing the scene itself.

Even though I'd read the speculation, so knew it was a very high probability, I avoided spoilers for today in the hope that Craig was not ending his 30 year marriage because he'd fallen in love with Leo Stark. And, of course, he is. 😒

I missed the first 20 minutes or so today, so missed all that. Sounds really weird, though.

My memories are vague from that time, but I do remember the Salem Ripper, and a vague memory of Eugene staying with Marlena to protect her. I wonder if Ron's plan with bringing "Renee" into the storyline would have eventually brought Philece Sampler onscreen for a cameo or short stint, if she hadn't passed away last year.

I think I had just started watching Days when Renee's story was taking place, and I was just learning all the characters. One of the very first scenes I remember was Anna arriving at Roman and Marlena's house with little Carrie. So going by Anna's comments today, that would have been around the same time. Will have to see how it plays out, but so far I like the use of Days history in the current storyline. Found these on Twitter, btw.

Man, that was painful to read. Why must that site add all their stupid commentary? When I came back to the show in 2014, I only saw Chris Kositchek when Josh Taylor was onscreen. But now I've accepted him as Roman, moreorless. And, yup, I still see Brady when Rex in onscreen.

Another Cin fan, and I also would be ok with them recasting Ciara. I like the chemistry between VK and RSW, though if the rumours are true, that chemistry may no longer exist, so if getting an actress who would be available all the time would get Cin out of their bubble, I say go for it. Hope, though, not sure I could accept someone else portraying her. But at the same time it's ridiculous that the character isn't in Salem with all that's going on with her family.

I kind of miss the show too. But at the same time, I'm getting used to doing other things during Days' tv airing hour, so hopefully I'll be able to get back in the habit of watching once it returns on the 21st.

Over on the DR site, where I still lurk, one of the mods has posted that due to people testing positive for Covid, that scenes get filmed out of order more than ever, so not to trust dressing room pics as proof an actor is still on contract.

I've missed the last 2 episodes so have fallen behind already. Don't think I care enough to watch them online, so guess I'll just try to tune in next time.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to take a look at this thread, and be possibly spoiled on something, but guess I didn't have to worry.

Not sure if I'll be able to watch every episode, but did enjoy last nights, despite no knowing many of the "celebrities".
