  1. I laughed out loud at this line from last night's syndicated episode. It was the one where Will Wheaton invites the guys to a party at his house and Sheldon won't go because Will is still on his mortal enemy list. Anyway a guy from Star Trek is also at the party and finally Sheldon arrives as he wants to meet him. Anyway things transpire and Star Trek guy ends up on Sheldon's list and Will replies "don't worry, it doesn't take up much of your time". edited to add: the clip, because everything can be found these days if you Google http://bigbangtheory.wikia.com/wiki/File:The_Big_Bang_Theory_Brent_Spiner_at_Wil_Wheaton%27s_Party
  2. I'm starting to do other things now after hot topics unless there is a guest I want to see. Therefore, I missed the Marilu interview/commercial. Was it a live appearance? Or something pre-taped from last week? As I haven't watched The View regularly in years, are these inhouse commercials something they've being doing for a while?
  3. I didn't hate this episode, but I didn't really laugh either. That could be in part due to the fact CTV (Canadian station) saturated every commercial break all week with previews, so by the time I finally got to watch the episode I had already seen the *3 years nothing, 2 minutes pants off* and *no one says they hate you to your face - we've lived separate lives", and "I hate her!" so many times, I was tired of them before ever seeing the episode.
  4. Thanks Rumsy4.
  5. Could someone give a summary, as the video is not viewable in Canada. Thanks.
  6. editing to add quote, which didn't work: "Whoopi's age is dipsuted. Most sources list it as 1955 making her 59 this year, but other sources such as this one list her birth year as 1949 making her 65. I'm inclined to believe the latter." Interesting. Has she ever mentioned her age on the show?
  7. I was just googling some ages and am shocked to learn that Whoopi is only 58 years old. The way she always refers to being so old, I was sure she was well into her 60's.
  8. I believe back when the RO show was on, and her kids were young, Rosie used to say that they did not watch TV, however, they did watch lots of DVDs. For some reason "Beauty and the Beast" seems to be the movie I recall her obsessing over at that time. I'm loving the *new* VIew, and think the 4 women are doing a great job. As someone who watched The View in the beginning, it's great to have intelligent women discussing topics again. BTW, I'm a convert from TWOP and though I probably won't post much, I'll probably be lurking.
  9. First, quick introduction. I've been lurking here at Previously since TWOP shut down, and though I mostly lurked there I used the same sign in, as it was easier than trying to think up a new one. The double date was ok and I thought Leonard & Penny's doubts were in character, as they've always struggled with why they are a couple. However, when Howard announced the Mars Rover, before they showed it, I was picturing the Space Shuttle arm, so I was less than impressed with the snail pace crawling of the Mars Rover. I think the Space Shuttle arm would have had the crowd cheering and Howard would have been the hero they were looking for instead of the loser. But I guess that was expecting to much from TBBT these days.
