  1. Well, she can continue to fangirl Hope while sitting across the desk from her. Shove a folder or tablet in her hand and good to go!
  2. I'm just loving all of your comments! I agree that Christina is hatching some kind of plot regarding the silent auction, so I'm very curious. I gave Dean's strenuous workout the side-eye as well. I wonder if this show will get picked up for a second season. It seems kind of like a one and done to me. I don't know how long the writers can string along this type of storyline.
  3. Honestly, of the three, the only one who I give any credence to is Duff. He knows what he's talking about and gives constructive criticism. Nancy and Lorraine take a few bites and it's Lorraine's job to decide whether or not she can taste the ingredient du jour. Nancy's role seems to be moistness/dryness (like Valerie in the kids' show) and whether or not the decorations are "Springy" or "Holiday." And of course, absence of booze (when that is an ingredient and seems to thankfully be missing this season.) I thought that Nancy really dialed it back during the latest episode. I saw that she grabbed Duff's arm while they were laughing but it seemed like a good-humored affectionate gesture as opposed to that cruel pinch she gave him several weeks ago. I have seen Lorraine's baking show on The Cooking Channel. I enjoyed it because it was new talent and the production reminded me somewhat of Nigella Lawson's old shows. Since Lorraine has crossed the pond, I dislike her more and more. Even when she hosts that awful show, "Bakers vs. Fakers" there is something about her that rings hollow. She may be a fine pastry chef and she is professionally trained. Sadly, she just doesn't have the personality to host an American show or serve as a judge. She comes across as very phony and pretentious and her attempts at "humour" fai
  4. It is such a shame. When I was in my 20s, my friend and I used to play a game where we'd wish who we could look like for one day and I'd always pick HT. Egads! Hell to the no on that one now. You know, she wasn't looking that awful during the Taylor/Nick days because it seemed like she'd stopped messing with her face and I liked her choppy chestnut brown haircut and funky boho clothes and jewelry. It softened her otherwise uptight stick-up-her-ass persona. It could be my declining hearing but I honestly had difficulty understanding HTy when she was reciting her lines today. (I can no longer call it "acting.") She can't move her mouth but her voice has also changed. It seems to have taken on the permanent weak wavery tone that she reserves for her "on the verge of tears," voice. Then when she cackled at Steffy, "So what are YOU going to do about it?" (referring to Bill being in love with Hauxdi) JMW actually looked genuinely startled. It sounded like the voice of an old witch. Shivers. If that Teflon quack gets off with this, I'm going to lose it. I too, thought the producers were chem testing DD and HTy and I thought it was a terrible pairing. DD looked like he didn't want to give her the time of day and it wasn't acting. I didn't think I could take one more day of Liam repeating how he shot his dad and how he "saw it," blah blah blah. Now what? That boy seriously needs to be admitting to a psychiatric hospital not only for his head injuries but PTSD and other numerous maladies. He should go away and tell nobody where he is going, especially not Steffy and Hope. I didn't mind Hope's beachy waves style but I don't care for the color. I would really like to see AN with her natural hair color because I think she'd look better and wouldn't appear to be so washed out in the white/pastel wardrobe choices. Plus, it would go better with her eyebrows, which need to be lightened if she remains blonde. Look at it this way. If Hauxdi is petting Liam's hair and face it keeps her hands off her baby bump.
  5. Oddly, I've never had any desire to visit Hawaii. My sister and her friend are going in November and I'm not the least bit envious. I will be a good sister and take care of Charlize's "cousins" while she's away and that's about it. I wouldn't turn down some good macadamia nuts as payment. LOL! Another region that has failed to live up to expectations is Florida. Granted, I have only been to Orlando and Sarasota/Tampa and didn't care for it. Everybody had heard the story 1,000 times now about how I spend a dreary Saturday night in a Sarasota hotel room due to my painful pre-surgery hip and then I sprained the opposite ankle and out of boredom, I downloaded and read Ree's memoir. I would like to see a Key West sunset mostly because I've read some mystery books set there and I am intrigued but it seems very very touristy. Of all of the places I've visited, I liked D.C. and Baltimore the best. I also like Chicago a lot. I like being near water and Kansas City is about as land-locked as you can get. Living here is OK because you have four seasons but lately, we've had no colors in the fall, hot hot summers and unseasonably cold winters and springs. I appears that half of Oklahoma is on fire right now. Geez ... I forgot to mention here that I have a new "Oklahoma connection" and this is one who I am sure would willingly go on the Ree tour with me. It would be right up her alley. I discovered a whole new set of relatives on my mother's side who live in Nebraska, where mom was originally from. Two days before my dad died, my mother's BIL passed away. My cousin called to let me know. She lives in Nebraska, but her sister and family live in the Tulsa area. Tulsa cousin is going to be in the KC area at the end of the month and my sister and I might meet her and her family for breakfast or brunch. If so, I will casually work PW into the conversation and see how she reacts. I should not judge or jump to conclusions based on FB posts but she appears to fit "the demographic." That's fine. Geez ... I can only imagine what people would think of me and never met me and based their impression solely on what I post on FB. LOL!
  6. I haven't watched today's show yet but tomorrow previews show her yapping at somebody about "interfering in their marriage." That's her go-to line, apparently. It's hilarious because she looks like she just returned from the dentist's office and the novocaine hasn't worn off yet.
  7. Probably will hide her behind desks, pillow and giants handbags. Then, ship her off to Paris to spend time with Nicole as her due date approaches and during maternity leave. At least I hope. The "Donna is getting fat," SL was one of the more absurd twists and downright insulting to pregnant and plus-sized women, specially when it was implied that Eric divorced her due to weight gain. Congratulations to Karla and her boyfriend!
  8. That was a great accomplishment for Carole and it was touching that her family was there to see her cross the finish line and also that it brought her closer to Anthony in spirit. That said, I have been on the fence about her since I started watching last season and my disdain is beginning to grow. Her nastier than usual cutting remarks in her THs along with the hints to have a celebratory party thrown for her were a bit much. But I did applaud her for throwing the darts right back at LuAnn. I didn't think that Tinsley was being out of line, nor being a ventriloquist for Carole during her dinner with LuAnn. After all of the gloating and obsessing by LuAnn last year, the other women deserved to get more than a brush-off about the divorce. I agree that Tinsley has had a year to settle in and settle down (in a place of her "own") and is finding her voice. Sonja's gay party was pathetic ... just like she is. She looks awful this year and even worse in her TH segments. I have nothing new to add about Bethenney but am sorry about her dog and agree that she looked good in that royal blue dress. I still love me some Dorinda but I am starting to get just a tiny bit worried about her drinking. It's OK when she's funny and halfway nice. It's when she gets nasty or so drunk that she has to leave her own party early, that makes me cautious. I tried numerous times when I was younger to take up running and when that didn't work out, race walking. I was a failure at both. I just don't have the build, natural rhythm or endurance for it. One of my brothers and my SIK were hard-core runners all of their lives and my brother is paying the price now as his knees are shot. It was good for me to quit while I was ahead because I suffer badly from arthritis and some very painful issues with my feet. I've already had one hip replaced and need both knees replaced and I'm only 58. Anyway, long distance walking worked out best for me as a means of cardio and now I try to swim. On the subject of big boobs and running. I also was very very well-endowed when I was younger and that made running difficult. I had cut my shin and went to a plastic surgeon to see if there was anything he could do about the scar reduction, which he couldn't and it eventually faded. While I was there, I casually asked about breast reduction surgery and by some miracle, my insurance covered it. (This was back in 1999.) It made a huge difference in my life. I am tall and large framed (and about 25 lb. overweight) and even with those factors, I didn't realize that I had shoulder and upper back pain until those boulders were made way, way smaller. If you can get a primary care doctor to make the case about pain, posture, etc., insurance might cover it. I was off work for only one week and I didn't have any pain, nor did I need drains. It was pretty easy.
  9. What a terrible show today. HT can't even move her lips enough to speak clearly and her face looks so puffy. NONE of this makes any sense. I thought Ho and Hauxdi were (THISCLOSE) and Hauxdi would have spilled her version of the whole torrid tale to her mother, complete with blaming Sally for starting the whole thing and Ho finding a way to drag Brooke into it as well. Taylor has been the Apache Guardian of mothers so why she would suddenly be left in the dark is beyond me. She also has never been referred to in such a tenuous manner. While BSC, the most violent act I've seen Taylor knowingly commit was when she smashed a half-full wine glass against a wall in Nick's house while in a drunken rage (I don't want to go down the running over Darla night here.) So, everybody being on pins and needles about "What's Taylor gonna do if she finds out about that night?" doesn't ring true. I believe that St. Taylor's downward spiral started first after Ridge dumped her following the reveal of the Big Bear Boink. His decision wasn't based so much on the infidelity (which also happened under near-death circumstances) but her hypocrisy in the way she (and Satanie) treated Brooke. There was the loss of Phoebe and yes, the whole insane mess with Nick and Jack, which led to the drinking ... I recall a scene where Taylor told Brooke just to "rip it off like a Bandaid because it hurt too much to have it taken away a little bit at a time," and also has proclaimed several times that she'd "lost it all," etc. etc. That just made her more irrational and self-righteous, leading up to the point of breaking into Brooke's medical records. It really came as no surprise to me (well, it did) that Taylor shot Bill. I think she's gone off the rails enough to justify that in her mind. What bugged me the most though, was that she knew her daughter was hurting (not that I GAF) but it wasn't until RIDGE was incarcerated that she came running back. The phone tracking thing doesn't make any sense because yeah, it should have pinged Steffy's phone as soon as Taylor was in L.A. Also, Taylor acted like she wasn't even aware of it. I have to admit that by that time, I was so transfixed on the terrible plastic surgery and deplorable acting that I might have missed something. I was left thinking that Ridge had it installed on Taylor's phone maybe without her knowledge? In any case, Bill better call Detective Sanchez STAT and get that lunatic behind bars where she belongs. I know that what will happen is that Steffy and probably Liam will plead Taylor's case and guilt Bill into keeping his mouth shut for Steffy's and "the baby's" sake or other such nonsense. Steffy might be doing and saying all the right things at the present moment but she is never capable of sustaining decent behavior for any amount of time. She might be buttering Liam up (get it?) but you know she is raging inside and going to blow at Hope as soon as she gets the next chance. Hope needs to back wa-a-a-y off. I am certainly not putting down people who color their own hair. I've done it plenty of times with mixed results. (But I am not appearing on an internationally-viewed soap either.) I also know people who would never let anybody else color their hair for them and it looks sensational. Taylor's hair looks like she tried to do it herself and failed miserably. I noticed how patchy and uneven the color was in her hair in the back. If she wants to go back to being blonde, fine. But she needs to have her hair colored professionally in the right shade for her skin tone, as well as correct her brow and makeup colors so everything goes together.
  10. I have pretty much stopped watching the show because they are actual repeated episodes or the recipes are repeats so it doesn't make them new to me. However, I watched yesterday's show about meals for two. The sheet pan supper* (make note of this in a moment) of spatchcocked chicken to share with Paige seemed OK but I thought it was weird that Ree kept referring to her marinade as "dressing." It bugs me right up there with insisting on calling measuring cups "pitchers." ... and "buncha" and vanilla bean "caviar." Ina was scraping out a vanilla bean on her show the other day and called the black specks, "black specks" and "seeds." Paige is now playing the role of Bryce, who probably has learned by now that the best way to avoid walk-on parts on the show is to STAY BUSY and AWAY. She always lumbers in like a teenaged boy and grouses, "I'm starving," when Ree inevitably asks her if she's hungry. However, Paige has an innate sweetness about her that I've noticed in the episodes where she's entertaining kids or playing barista at "The Merc," so I will give her a pass. She also can't help it that she's like 6'3." My wish for her is that she'd chosen some place far far away for college. Arkansas is a bit too within arm's reach of more of Ree's dorm dinner disasters. If I were her, I'd be eyeing some type of exchange program in Scandanavia. One to loaf pan lasagna.* (What's with all of the alliteration with the recipes?" There was nothing wrong with that recipe. I thought I saw a graphic flash by that said each loaf pan made six servings. Anyway, during the demo of how to heat up (seriously?) and serve the lasagna, Ree just divided the entire contents of one loaf pan between two plates. Then she does something else that always bugs me, too (yes, there is more!) Serving tomato salad with an entree that's loaded with canned tomatoes and tomato paste. The last act didn't disappoint. Ladd and Ree were having "Steak Night" (aka "Date Night.") Ree kept referring to the entire meal as "steak frites." No, you moron. "Frites" are the potatoes only and what you made were big honkin' wedges and there was no way they were going to be done in 20 minutes. Anyway, I digress. The hilarity ensued when Ree talked Ladd into trying to make their own version of lemon-pepper seasoning that Ladd explained he'd been using on steaks, "forever." The purpose was to "make everything from scratch." To Ladd's crushed peppercorns, Ree added dried lemon zest. Do you think she stopped there? Next was dried parsley, onion powder, garlic powder and dried mustard. TF? You could tell Ladd was not happy with this at all. But he went ahead and cooked the steaks, while Ree yammered on and on. Contrary to what she said about keeping things "reel," she decided to just to hell with it and used Lawry's seasoned salt on her "frites." Those two have zero chemistry and I am surprised that they stayed married as long as they have. Ree is so snide and thirsty for compliments. When Ladd agreed that he'd miss the boys when they finally left for college, Ree indignantly turned on him with, "What? Are you saying you don't like my company?" To which Ladd sputtered, "Well, I'll miss the girls, too." I won't get into Ree's "one flesh," remark as it made me want to throw something at the TV. The best was last when Ree made hollandaise sauce to pour over her steak. Yes, that's right. Hollandaise sauce. Why? This is one time where I am on Ladd's side for being picky about his food when he declined. There was no reason to add that. The steak was already ruined by the copious amount of crap seasoning they dumped all over the fillets before drowning them in melted butter. Oh, and she also served an anemic wedge of iceberg lettuce drowned in ranch dressing. Thankfully, she didn't haul out the "fry sauce" to dump over the "frites." The competing flavors just ruined what could have been a nice simple dinner. Maybe Ladd can put the "Cowboy Room," in the new hotel on permanent hold for when the nest finally empties ...
  11. Exactly. That thought crossed my mind immediately. I don't remember the timing but I think Bridge remarried after the Still boink. In any case, Sludge should have told Brooke that he told Taylor. In fact, I'd find it quite odd if Brooke hadn't suggested it herself. It really wasn't fair to put Brooke in the middle like that and appointing her unwitting caretaker of her slattern stepdaughter. Loved Brooke's reaction: "Do you think it was wise to tell Taylor? You know how she tends to over-react." (Since Taylor has been MIA from important events like weddings and the birth of her grandson, it was a safe bet that she wasn't going to show this time.) That's putting it mildly in this case. OK, so now we have Brooke not once, but twice trying to finagle some modicum of sympathy for Bill out of Ridge in the same scene. Why? Honestly, Ridge has ever reason to despise Bill for dumping him out of that helicopter, so that's righteous anger. In this case, it's over-blown and ridiculous. I will begrudgingly give her credit, but Haudxi's logical approach to questioning Liam seemed to make sense. How, indeed, was he able to drive from Malibu to Beverly Hills in a complete blackout without getting in to an accident or getting pulled over? Especially along tricky PCH? Those scenes with DD and HT were just painful to watch. I couldn't get over how awful HT was. After all was said and done, her OTT crazy behavior was sort of justified but it was so poorly executed that it was laughable. I loved Bill reading that sanctimonious self-righteous quack for every inch of her plastic facade. He really hit a nerve when he called her out for her unexplained absences at holidays, weddings, etc., over the years. I thought she was going to lose her mind over that. Makes me really curious. I also loved it when he very matter of factly suggested that she talk to her daughter about "that night." Steffy is going to tell her the same thing, that it was consensual sex. Seriously, after all the heinous shit that Teflon bitch has gotten by with over the years, to stand there and lecture Bill on morality, predatory behavior, etc., is laughable at best. Let's see, yes, there was the chasing after/manipulating a grieving Ridge, using Baby Thomas as blackmail, the Big Bear Boink, tag-teaming with Stephanie to make Brooke's life hell, playing dirty in the ToD 2.0 and the list goes on. Good question as to if KB and HT are still on the set at the same time. I need to do some research and see if KB is still running for Congress. That could make a big difference as to her on screen time. I'd love to see a rehash of "Sheila shoots Brooke and Taylor." Only this time, Taylor and Bill will be struggling with the gun and Liam, Hauxdi and Sludge arrive. The gun goes off. Who gets shot?
  12. Honestly, I think a lot of the "drama" and reaction faces are driven by the producers. Bobby Dean and the last host (forgot his name already) were more skilled at reigning in the judges and redirecting them towards tasting the next baked good on the plate.
  13. Well, I assume that if in real life, Hunter Tylo has a bad hip, she may have to walk with a cane and it's essential that she has to use it even in her acting. Otherwise, got me? Maybe her cane has a switchblade in the tip and she will stab Bill!
  14. I have posted this before in the other threads under the B&B umbrella, so here goes and sorry for the repeat for others who've read this tale. Several years ago, HT tried to launch a web series with Donna Mills and some other soap actresses from ABC called "Queens of Drama." It was about ... (are you sitting down) FOUR ACTRESSES WHO WANTED TO STAND UP AND CREATE THEIR OWN SERIES! To their credit, their idea was kind of ahead of the curve, based on what it going on right now. Anyway, while they were filming their "tag lines" for the opening (ala the "Real Housewives" brand) HT just inexplicably collapsed. She was lying on the floor calming stating that she'd dislocated her hip and elbow. (I hate to throw shade but it almost seemed rehearsed but DM and the rest of the ladies were horrified and Donna rushed over to try to help.) The last anybody saw of HT was her being taking off the set in an ambulance. During the remaining shows of the doomed series, Donna Mills mentioned more than once that she tried to reach out to HT and received no reply. One of the woman also said that Taylor had an artificial hip. I think it was Donna, but am not 100% certain. I don't know if any of this is true but I watched the shows and she really did fall. I don't know the part about having had a prior hip replacement. I do know that I have had that surgery and if you fall or do anything to mess it up, it's very very difficult to repair and restore functionality. It is also very painful, I've been told. That's the only thing I can think of as to why Taylor suddenly has a cane. Which verifies at least what happened on the show with Donna Mills & co. I don't follow HT (or anybody) on Twitter, so I don't know if HT has ever mentioned the fall, hip replacement surgery, etc. OK, now that that's over, WTF??? So we have BSC Taylor going after Bill. Bitch was practically foaming at the mouth. I would truly love to hear the heavily edited tale as recanted by Steffy and even moreso, but Sludge. Why is everybody conveniently forgetting that Steffy is the one who answered the door and let Bill in to the guest house. Prior to that, she also accepted a call from him whilst at the same time, ignoring repeated calls and texts from "HER HUSBAND." It's bad enough now that "Daddy" is having to fight Hauxdi's battles, now we have Taylor (aka Stephanie) jumping into the fray. Hope doesn't stand a chance and I don't know if I have the wherewithal to watch yet another round of Brooke (Hope) vs. Taylor (Steffy.) Does anybody know if this is a long-term gig for Tylo or just a few guest appearances? Maybe Sheila can finish the job this time. If she is on for an extended run, I wonder how Taylor and Thorne will interact? Liam is an utter fool to confide in Steffy. Now, if Liam doesn't go back to her, she'll go to the police. If Liam doesn't divorce her, Bill will go to the police. What a fucking moron.
  15. I personally find Nacho likeable but yeah, just because his wife was a previous contestant and lost, shouldn't give him an automatic pass to try to redeem the family name in an upcoming season. I am sure Susanna was not the first contestant who had a spouse/sibling/SO/family member, etc., who they might have had a baking business with. That said, I don't see Nacho winning the whole thing. I am rooting for Heather, then Aaron. I don't care for Caleb. I think it's his hideous mustache that turns me off.
  16. Wow! Hope was firing on all cylinders again today! Hope: "I just want the very best for Liam." Hauxdi: "And I suppose it isn't me?" C-R-I-C-K-E-T-S! Hauxdi: "Blah, blah, blah .... our baby ... our family." (Rubs fake baby bump and pointedly turns to walk out.) Hope (calling after her): "Steffy. You've played that card too many times already." Hauxdi stops dead in her tracks and looks dumbfounded. And if that wasn't enough, she reminded Hauxdi (again) how she is making this all about herself and not given the least bit of consideration to Liam's feelings and needs. After calling out that heinous slag, the icing was telling her (again) how much alike Hauxdi and Bill are (e.g. conspiring against Lope all along) and will eventually end up together. All Hauxdi could do was stand there with a horrified expression in her eyes because her face can't move and repeat, "You're getting into Liam's head" or "MY husband." And yes ... WTF is that awful wig? It looked particularly terrible today. It just hung there over her head like a dried out broom that had been used one too many times on the bathroom floors at a major arena. BURN!!! OK. What's the issue here? Liam has served Hauxdi with annulment papers. He should have told $Bill. "You know what? You don't have to threaten me with my freedom. I'm going to get it anyway because you can have Steffy!" I don't Get what Waffleboy's hesitation is. The best explanation was when he told Bill that he was "messed up in the head." Yup. I'm not saying that he needs to jump immediately into a relationship with Hope. But at this point, he really should be speaking with an attorney (not Carter) who specializes in family law to work out a co-parenting arrangement, both in terms of custody and financial support. Not to mention, either force that slattern sign the annulment papers or go full-court-press divorce on her. He needs to do something along the lines of if she refuses to sign the papers, he will go for full custody of the baby (which he probably wouldn't get) but at least threaten her. Liam is just a chicken-shit wimp. It does make me question whether or not Bill is his bio father. I can't believe that Bill was once again desperately trying to retcon some kind of "destiny" between Steffy and him. Did anybody else get an impression today that Jarrett is the one who shot Bill? Why else would he make a random appearance at SP to plead with Wyatt for his job back? A seasoned fashion journalist like that could easily find another job. Maybe not in L.A., but surely in NYC or abroad. What is he wasting his breath for? Thorne is an ass. He really needs to butt out. First, he tried to convince Brooke what a loser Sludge is (true) but he needs to leave Katie and Wyatt alone. This skeevy predator needs to go far, far away. Dude also needs to work with a diction coach on his "American" accent. I've noticed him really slipping badly lately.
  17. Hope and Brooke "shared" Oliver, so to speak. It really wasn't a conscious thing since it was the Posse' wall boink, case of mistaken identity at Hope's graduation party. Oops!
  18. I know. There needs to be a show like "Botched," only for interior design. What bugs me about the designers is how they seem so clueless about time management in relation to their design aspirations. You'd think that they'd have a better grasp at this point. There is no way that Hildi's design could be implemented in that short amount of time with amateur painters. The level of arrogance was off the charts. I found Doug to be just as arrogant as he has been in the past. He just has a better way of disguising it. I think Hildi has been well covered, so I have nothing new to add to the other comments. I give a thumbs-down to both rooms. The chosen designs weren't mean for such small bedrooms. OBTW, "deconstructed," is a term I frequently hear on Food Network, which is the chef's clever way of restating "epic fail."
  19. No doubt they will be about as successful as Winsor Harmon and Lorenzo Lamas were when they tried this a few years ago. I believe that was around the time Kim Matula made her film with Scott Eastwood. I will quit while I am still ahead ...
  20. She should have invited Lisa Rinna over when the BH gals were in NYC recently.
  21. The fact that Waffle Boy is so easily swayed is disturbing and I really don't think the banged-up brain is that much of a factor because this is how he's always been. The fact that he is even replaying Hauxd's kiss and her begging him to go back home speaks to his weakness of character. I hate the way Hauxdi stands there and orders Liam to "put everything behind him" and return to her. She is so cold and demanding. I know most of it is because JMW is such a lousy actress but a truly contrite wife would be softer, gentler, kinder and more understanding. One thing that Hope has really nailed and continues to drive home is that Hauxdi really isn't considering Liam's feelings at all. It's all about HER HER HER!! I hate Sludge. It really is none of his business if Hope went to visit Liam and under what circumstances. I wonder how much longer Brooke is going to sit there and watch him berate Hope and not intervene? I mean he really hasn't done/said anything terrible yet, but it's brewing. I can tell. As soon as his little princess goes whining to him about Hope "filling Liam's head with ideas," all hell is gonna break loose.
  22. Regarding next Friday's spoiler ... Hauxdi is in no position to dictate where Liam works or for whom or who with. She lost that privilege the night she f-ed her FIL. Why can't Liam grow his balls back and divorce that slag?
