I'm only voting for Charlie. I've lost all objectivity. I really enjoy his performances and his commitment to the dance. I've seen his paso on ice and I think this was close to that. I do think Sharna could make the choreography less "busy" to highlight his line and frame.

Charlie was underscored. Again. I loved that paso.

She was so amazing on the L Word. I really didn't like the introduction of a new Grimm; my husband kept yelling "This is like Faith on Buffy all over again!" at the TV. I like the group of characters we already have. I also don't want it to take away screen time from Monroe.

Another episode in which I understand about 75% of what is happening. And some of the scenes were filmed so dark I couldn't tell what was taking place. Great Jaime/Tyrion and Jaimie/Brienne scenes. Love Tommen.

Small Talk: Off The Dance Floor
Quickbeam replied to David T. Cole's topic in Dancing With The Stars
truthaboutluv: the level of oversight for a dying board is amazing right now. People getting threatened for some pretty arbitrary issues. I had been enjoying the discussion. Really, what's the harm if one thread spills over to another. I hope Danica is ok; rib injuries are very painful. -
Who doesn't. Even my husband is dazzled by his smile. He'll be down in the basement and yell up to make sure and call him "when Charlie is on". I'm a rehab RN so I know I should be all about the differently abled but It bugs me that Amy is overscored. I do like that she pointed out that the ankle work for a waltz was far harder for her than the swing/jive.

Overall enjoyable show even if that Redfoo guy was irritating. Meryl's tango was lovely. I am finding Sharna's choreography for Charlie cold and lacking in any sensuality. I'm not sure he benefits from the "faffing around" with the glow costumes and all. NeNe can leave any time.

I agree, that was fabulous. I've watched it an embarrassing number of times.

Sansa for the win. I thought it was her. She's got all the rage, all it would take would be opportunity which she had. I do feel like the only person alive who watches this show in a perpetual state of confusion. "Who is that?"....I got all the primary people down but the secondaries still confound me. Poster upthread with a death list? Priceless. Joffrey's death was really well done. Well acted, great make-up.

Just read that Charlie and Sharna are doing a jazz routine this next week to 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious'. Talk about the least sexy song ever for a jazz routine.

I apparently am the only one who watches this show who hasn't seen CA: WS yet. I did think the episode was the best yet. I love Bill Paxton, great bit for him. Based on some promos I saw I had expected Patton Oswalt in last nights show but I guess that is next week. For me, even if the CA:WS tie in makes everything super special, I still haven't liked the season to date that much. WonderSkye pretty much cut the heart out of my enjoyment.

Not sure what that was last night but I loved the dance with Charlie and Peta. My husband said it was the only thing he's seen that he'd pay for (not a dance fan).

S18.E04: Partner Switch Ups REVEALED
Quickbeam replied to radishcake's topic in Dancing With The Stars
I watch this show with my husband, a non-dance fan. His critique?: "I'd pay to watch that guy dance" about Charlie. He couldn't even remember the others but he was still talking about Charlie this morning. Was it a rhumba? No. But it was lovely to watch. I think the female pros get so excited when partnered with someone who can actually do lifts competently, they work them in any and everywhere. I'm no Mark fan but I thought he really brought it for Amy last night. He made her dance and she looked great. Nice work. -
What a Phil-tastic episode. I loved him in the hair salon "What's the nozzle set-up?" or word to that effect. Ty Burrell is just so winning in this role. Plus Stella. I love than Manny has wrapped his head around the fact that his previously off-putting behavior is now winning him friends.

I know absolutely nothing about dance. My question is, I associate the dance style that Charlie and Sharna did week 3 as Broadway. Maybe I confuse Jive with Lindy or West Coast Swing. It just looked like something from a Jazz-handy Broadway show. maybe because there was less partner work. Help me on this? Signed, a dance idiot.

S18.E03: The Most Memorable Year of Their Lives

So true. I don't even like figure skating but I watch ice dancing for Meryl and Charlie. He was delightful last night. -
I was not a fan of the contemporary dance last night as far as Amy's contribution to it. It was about 95% Derek. You can't diminish her gutsiness but I just didn't think she did much in the way of dancing. Overscored.
-
Meryl was absolutely lovely in her foxtrot with Maks last night. Fluid and graceful. If the footwork has been a challenge, you wouldn't know it. She also looked more beautiful than I have seen her; normally i find a bit of an elvish vibe to her physicality.

TWOP Refugee # 5300. I am here for GoT. Perhaps you will find this funny....my husband pretty much hates this show because he could not tell Rob Stark and Jon Snow apart. Imagine how happy I was to let him know that would no longer be a problem!

I have a theater phobe husband so we rented it via Amazon. Absolutely loved it. Thrilled that the easy chemistry was seamless amongst the major players. Story was engaging and Neptune-centric, as it should be.

Small Talk: Off The Dance Floor

Another refugee from TWoP, same name. I am only watching this season for Meryl & Charlie. Also love Maks. -
My favorite episode to date. I adored the Pull Out King bit. Carrie does a great job with Lance; I forget she is a woman. "Terry Gross!" ...The NPR tailgate had even my Portlandia hating husband laughing.
