Re: Big Ass Candles….I bought the sample pack and of the nine scents, only one was a winner, the gardenia tuberose. The rest were either very low scent or had a fragrance I could easily duplicate with a dollar store candle. The packaging was very nice but overall, unimpressive.

Sign you grew up with a heavy drinking parent, running the booze category. “Canadian Club you fools!” ……why this takes up brain space, I have no idea. I don’t drink but have a pretty hefty knowledge of the right way to make a Manhattan and what wine to chill.

I was completely consumed by the writers doing the end run around the boss who wants to be friends. Have seen that play out just like this. I’ve never been a Rosie fan but she was funny. Looks better than she has in decades. I’m not loving this season but Jean Smart is flawless. My favorite character is the HR person who makes me gut laugh every time.

I worked at a couple hospitals where the TVs didn’t work after 11 PM so that people would sleep. So I thought that’s why they went out to the waiting area where there would be one on.

I’m completely in love with Victoria’s style of game play. She’s just so good.

Is this the first time a “save” won The Voice? I think so but don’t have an encyclopedic knowledge of the show stats.

What I meant was there was a lot of news here about Oakland being deserted for Nevada. So “Nevada” popped up in my head immediately. Otherwise I’d have never thought of it, I’d have probably said Wisconsin and been wrong.

I’m a zero on sportsball but even I knew the Raiders left Oakland for Vegas. I mean it was on the news constantly here in Wisconsin. I was surprised it was a TS.

So much better than the dreadful first episode. Lots of snap! I also kind of love the Kayla character because part of me thinks there are a lot of Kaylas in that world. The new assistant is interesting, didn’t see that coming.

Big Ass Candles has a sampler pack that’s a pretty good deal. I go through a lot of candles so I’d be interested if the scents are appealing. The deviled egg women grew on me…that’s something I’d buy if it was available.

Devil’s Tower, can’t believe that was a TS. I can guarantee none of these folks ever visited Devil’s Tower. You can’t unsee it. I thought that was crazy easy.

For years I worked with a nurse who was supporting the whole family while her husband tinkered with “the perfect surge protector”. She was trying to raise the kids, pay the mortgage and hold up the sky while this guy sat at home inventing. She said “it’s his dream” but even back then there were a million surge protectors on the market. They almost lost their house until she took a second job. Really, some people just latch onto an idea and can’t let go.

Didn’t know this show was back. My investment in this show is seeing Deborah win. If that’s not going to happen, I’m not sure I can watch this. This episode was just so ugly and nasty without any humor.

Sad Olivia didn’t make it through. She was such a lovely singer. ETA: finally watched the elimination show; Olivia did not sound good, maybe ill? Wasn’t surprised Adam made it through.

Sound and captions were a minute off here the whole show. Will need to see if I can find it elsewhere.

The woman who sang “Someone to Watch Over Me” (sorry, bad with names) was the best. She never should have been let go in the first place. Everyone else was ok but not as good.

I am completely in love with her look! All those sweater vests. As a knitter, I’m always eyeing the patterns. It makes her look very pulled together.

I was a Girl Scout a million years ago and I knew what a Queen’s Scout was….guy could not read the room. I know h3 got a deal but there are a zillion things like this on the market.

Who called it on Francie right away? *hand raised*.

Hetty: “blink twice if you went all the way”. She gets the best lines.

Soooo excited that Laura Donnelly was nominated for a Tony award. She’s magnificent.

My theory is that this was the only way Nick could get FIL Wharton off his back and save June. Acceptable losses and all that.
