  1. You're So Beautiful definitely wins, especially thanks to the up down up down UP down part. Still holding out for a version that includes Andre, though.
  2. The thing that struck me was when Blake said that he wanted Brian and Joshua to perform acoustically so that the other three judges could really hear what they could do. There really is no doubt that Blake wants every singer to have the most success they can possibly have both on and off the show.
  3. I just wonder if we're going to get the haircut since it would be difficult if they had to shoot pickups later on. I'm already curious if it's going to be noticeable that Sam and Catriona's hair is shorter when they're back at Leoch since they already stated that they shot all of the Leoch stuff at once.
  4. Especially since I'm pretty sure that Joshua Jackson dated Jamie King right around the same time as or not long after Meredith Monroe was playing his love interest.
  5. I was wondering the same thing last week and there were several things in this episode made it sound even more possible. Maybe she's going to move their after Ethan graduates from high school.
  6. I hadn't thought about AB and Joel as a pairing until I read this thread and now it's something I truly want. Joel loved Bluebell and they did really sell Zoe and Joel not working out long distance because they weren't meant to be. It would be so easy to establish that AB could be Joel's first choice if they got together and made the long distance work when he had to travel for work. Zoe would be legitimately happy for them.
  7. Yes, they've killed the chance of Lavon and AB even before Lavon more recently recognizing that he still loves Lemon. AB made it quite clear what she was looking for and Lavon is just never going to be that for her. As much as I wanted those two to end up together at one point, it would take an unbelievable amount of retconning to make them work.
  8. Love the new house but I did think it was ridiculous how she brought her dog with her everywhere while she was closing on it.
  9. I immediately thought Oasis and then started thinking it might be Blur. Once Alex said that he didn't think that they were forgettable, I realized that it had to be the Spice Girls.
  10. Gina Rodriguez continues to be the best thing ever. I could watch her face show every emotion. She ran through quite a few of them in this episode. Cunnilingus, or at least implied cunnilingus, seems to be showing up on TV at a much higher rate lately. This is a good development.
  11. I'm still kind of pulling for a Minneapolis season even though I don't think it will ever happen. We're more like "Here are some things we like about our area." And then people go "Those things are pretty great!" and we're like "We're glad you like it. We like it, too. Thank you for being here!" Also, the Twin Cities have a great food scene.
  12. None of the contraceptives objected to by Hobby Lobby actually cause an abortion. They just prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterine wall. There are medications that will cause an abortion that can typically be used in the first 10 weeks of pregnancy and that is most likely what Dr. Alver gave Jane a prescription for.
  13. Agreed. The Fiery Cross came out my senior year of high school and I remember slogging through it between AP class homework but I think I always had one of the first four checked out of the library at any given time. I think another reason that the first four are easier to keep apart is that you just have to remember which of our main players are around. Book One: Jamie and Claire are in Scotland. Book Two: Jamie and Claire are mostly in France and then back in Scotland for the rebellion. Book Three: Claire goes back. Book Four: Bree and Roger go back in time.
  14. I'm just watching it now and Taylor mixed up rugby and cricket. It was so awkward.
  15. I'm watching more TV than could possibly be healthy. I've wholly bought into the abundance of comic book shows that we now have on the air and the CW line up seems particularly strong this fall. I am a 30 year-old woman who watches a lot of the CW and ABC Family and I'm not afraid to admit it.
  16. Especially since it would give context to the rough makeup sex at Leoch. If you've already seen Jamie and Claire have passionate, frantic sex that's consensual then you have context for it to happen again.
  17. So it sounds like they latched onto dedicating a lot of episode 8 to Frank's search for Claire pretty early on in the writing process. I really wish that they would have backed off of it as they went on. I'm not against breaking Claire's point of view but there was just too much Frank in this episode.
  18. Huh. While I don't know how I feel about more voiceovers, at this point they have to do something to bring Jamie more to the forefront so I'm at least glad to hear that there's going to be more focus on him.
  19. The United Kingdom still uses the imperial system for road signs and they didn't really start using the metric system for much at all until the 1960s. Using km would have been a huge anachronism.
  20. Aww, that's a lovely nod to the Frazer Hines/Jamie McCrimmon origins of Jamie Fraser's name.
  21. If you find yourself getting stuck again, I highly recommend the audiobooks. Just make sure to get the unabridged versions with Davina Porter as the narrator. I've probably only read some of the books two times tops but I've listened to them a few other times while working.
  22. Yes, she was in the second book but a lot of the book was Claire telling Bree and Roger about what she and Jamie got up to.
  23. I miss when Ask Ausiello used to provide actual spoilers. Yes, the fact that they would need to cast Jamie and Claire's 20 year-old daughter for the second season of the show is a pretty big spoiler for a non-book reader but it's info that a person could easily get/infer just by asking a book reader. I was hoping to see a rumored actress.
