  1. I don't understand the horror these ladies have for Aaron's nuttiness. This is LA! Isn't this style of flakiness not uncommon in these parts? It's the land of Scientologists! I love an eccentric, even if they are not hot, so his jibber jabber doesn't bother me a bit. And I stan Denise Richards, always have. Team Denise! And Aaron can be on the team as a treat.
  2. I thought the Surgeon General comment was said in jest and suspect Contessa just wants a cake administrative job in a hospital or the like - no patients, no billing, just a nice salary and a 9 to 5. Contessa is clearly unhappy being a practicing physician; also doesn't want to be a stay-at-home mom. I've felt that way in life and thought wow wouldn't it be great if I could just go back to school - it is a vacation from real life! - and then after that I'll be able to be in an easier profession. Not only a vacation from work but this chick figured out how to get a vacation from her family! Kadooz as they say in Real Housewives Land!
  3. Having taken one state's bar and practiced law for over 20 years, I figured a jab at one of the worst law schools in the country must have been meant for an unaccredited school such as the one Michael Cohen attended. Have known plenty of good and great lawyers who went to accredited law schools that aren't winning any awards in a magazine. I do agree that Reagan doesn't have any intention to practice law or take the bar exam. Maybe she can get into some sort of smoke and mirrors non-practice affiliation with Craig, J.D., from original recipe Southern Charm.
  4. Reagan basically threw out a mentally ill husband and upgraded. Hard for me to not hate her for that. I know and empathize with how difficult it is to be married to someone with these issues, but if you loved him, then even if you couldn't see through the old-fashioned "in sickness or in health" you wouldn't be doing this shit on TV. And to stick the poor fool with that house! Someone tell him to sell that shit and move close to supportive folks where he is not out in the middle of nowhere by his lonesome.
  5. Here is something I have learned from many years of marriage: insulting and yelling at a husband while complaining he doesn't love you the right way/spend time enough time with you rarely leads to him wanting to spend more time with you and show you more quality affection.
  6. Same! Shoot, I carry on when I make it into first class and even business class! LOL.
  7. Practicing law is often boring drudgery that also happens to be difficult. Deadlines and details are a part of that life and missing deadlines just doesn't affect you, it can have terrible consequences for your client. Courts don't let that shit fly just because you are cute. Also, lying is not the key to respectable success despite all the lawyer jokes; what opposing counsel would trust Craig in a negotiation at this point? Craig, please do yourself and the pro bono clients (who are real clients even if they cannot pay) a favor and stick with the pillows. There is no shame in not wanting to be a lawyer; quite the contrary!
  8. Craig is all smoke and mirrors. Bullshit artist. And not a particularly good one. I've been a lawyer far longer than he has and this type is a dime a dozen. I don't think he is a terrible person, but the boy is no prize. I like Naomi; she's young and should not have abused him so much and just left him. But when you are young you think you can change people if you can just talk (or yell) sense into them! She is too smart and no nonsense for his brand, though I'm sure he was a good boyfriend in that he was probably generally sweet and supportive. I think those aspects of him are genuine. I root for both of them, but Craig causes me many eye rolls.
  9. Amanda, consider that it's bad enough being married to an alcoholic when they marry you willingly. Forcing an alcoholic to marry you is not ideal. And - the "professional" weekdays get fewer, and the weekends get longer. Or hey, it could all suddenly work out wonderfully just because the person turns .... maybe try 40?
  10. I am merely a dimestore psychologist, but not every asshole is a psychopath or even a sociopath. I used to work with people on death row (not in their crimes, you understand, but after they had been sentenced). Jax is garden variety asshole. You find these dicks everywhere and I don't fear them murdering me in cold blood or torturing my pets. YMMV.
  11. I love how coming up with an idea for an "e-commerce site" and having a couple pieces of paper with logos of a sort constitutes a "work ethic" in VPR land, or at least in Scheana World. I also enjoyed Rob's vague non-answer as to whether he had trademarked the name.
  12. I cannot believe making your guests do the renters' binder jobs. Guests are not renters. I was already horrified last episode when Scheana proudly proclaimed to her guests that she and Rob would have the master bedroom "obviously". If you have guests, you give them the master! I'm antisocial shanty Irish and even I know this! Edited to add: YOU ALSO PROVIDE AMPLE FOOD FOR GUESTS! If you are getting this kind of advice from me, you need help. Also, I am a Young and the Restless devotee and I cannot remember Rob being on the show.
  13. Hey Amanda, I remember youthful me tearfully asking my charming, handsome, genius boyfriend - why do you need to be so drunk all the time? 20 years later I've nursed him through rehab and loss of his profession and fortune due to alcoholism. Not that it wasn't worth it in the end and I love him and our kid but I would tell 26 year old me to run fast and far! And my boyfriend actually wanted to spend time with me...how someone so cute and seemingly normal and kind can let such a fuckup treat her like that! Girls, we can do better!
  14. Tom doesn't really love Katie or want to be with her. He finds their relationship comfortable because she doesn't really challenge him. She yells at him (v. ineffectively) and he gets to act like a hurt puppy; this feeds his needs because he gets sympathy from others and she always looks like the bitch because he is "so nice." She always compromises herself for him (all those times he went somewhere without her, to a place she was uninvited!; making her wait past her TV-announced deadline for a proposal! not sticking up for her with Jax when he treated her abominably ON TV!) He takes passive aggression to new heights. Schwartz has so many interactions with Sandoval that indicate he really truly cares about him, but you never see that sort of deep feeling from him to Katie. I personally would rather date Jax because he would, for some brief duration, at least act as if he gave a shit about me. Fortunately for me, I'm far too old for any of these fools.
