As long as the nostrils are under water and it's being breathed in, you can drown, so if someone was upside down, disoriented and that water flowing around their face, it is possible. A lot of drownings happen in really shallow water, just because the person drowning is in situation where they can't move their head away from the water.

I'd think they'd want to get them married as soon as possible, because in their world marriage leads directly to babies, and with Kendra & Jinger both due soon, and none of the other girls having announced new pregnancies, they'd want Lauren knocked up as soon as possible to keep people interested.

My father's family is of a British background, when one of his brothers married a Vietnamese woman she was appalled by how bland the baby food over here was. She added spices to everything for her kids as soon as they were on solids (and my mother followed her example) to "make the food interesting and be sure the baby gets to experience a lot of flavours while their taste buds can get used to them". I normally hate everything these guys do, but I think introducing Sam to new tastes is a good thing. And he really does seem to like it.

A friend of mine who just had her first at 36, and took a couple of years of trying to get pregnant, she said her aunt (who is not a doctor, so probably making shit up) told her she read that women’s eggs age faster if they’ve never been pregnant, making them less viable. Supposedly the pregnancy hormones help keep the other eggs in better condition. - which is an interesting theory, but i’m not sure how accurate it would be. Back to Joe & Kendra, they do seem to like each other, and I hope they stop after only a few kids.

I wonder if Timothy even has an interest in flying planes, or if Jill has visions of them owning their own private planes like the Duggars, and wants Tim to be the family pilot, flying them around on godly missions.

Maybe it was a sponsored cow? For those who've never heard of that, my sister's father in law used to have a farm, with some cattle. People could 'sponsor' a cow, which helped him with his farming costs, and come slaughtering time, they'd get a whole side of the cow they'd sponsored, all butchered and ready to go. And some of them would make a trip of it, coming in from interstate to get their meat.

Do they not realize that makes their God seem like a total asshole. Any selfish, self-entitled dick who would allow a school to be shot up, and children to die in pain and terror because they are supposedly not praying to him enough, is one who does not deserve to be worshiped. I think they're still encouraging the home births/Jill's involvement because if the girls go elsewhere for their care, they have to admit that Jill is in no way qualified to call herself a midwife, and The "learn a skill by watching for five minutes" Duggars can't handle that Jill is still useless, even after a bit of book learning and an exam.
