Every time I see Izzy I can't get over how tall he is for his age - and not just that, that he looks more mature. Some tall kids still have their baby faces, but even facially he looks like he's old enough to be starting school.

I get that with the exception of Jinger they all probably want to be pregnant after their first time, but don't most brides plan their wedding around their period? Unless they've got a very specific fetish, I'm guessing most women don't want to go to their wedding bed bleeding, bloated and possibly crampy.

They probably donated it with the condition that part of Derrick's hometown ministry would be buying $200 worth of groceries for a family with 5 kids and lazy unemployed parents, who just happen to be the people donating the money in the first place.
-
The problem with donating under a fake name is he still gets the money regardless. I don't want him to get anything. I'd rather make a donation to Planned Parenthood or The Trevor Project in his name, so a good cause gets money, and he knows about it. If I could afford it, I'd donate to those causes every time the Duggars wore those stupid 'we're the generation who will end abortion' t-shirts, or spoke out against LGBTQ+ people.

In the hospital where I work, things like that are plugged into covered outlets, the covers can only be removed by maintenance, using special keys. Back to Joy & Austin (and the rest of the bunch I guess), since they're so into 'flipping houses' - supposedly, have we ever seen the Duggars sell any of the houses they say they're working on, you'd think they'd encourage the non-ministry kids to try for Real Estate licenses so when they get called grifters and layabouts, they could at least point to that as an FU to their detractors.

The problem there is, I don’t think anyone would want to hire him right now. Not even anyone in the Fundie circles. He’s a little too outwardly unhinged. They like to keep their bigotry and hatred wrapped up in a neat, non-threatening package.

I think he just changed his handle. If you search @derick4him it redirects to Derickmdillad, and still has his earlier posts with the old handle showing in the replies. Pity, I was hoping twitter had shut him down for hate speech.

I wonder if they are just going with the idea of getting all the pregnancies out of the way as quickly as possible. Several friends of mine, only one of whom is religious, have all had their kids spaced only a year apart (most stopping at 2 or 3, but one with 4), and every one of them has said that they want their kids close in age so they'll be friends, and they also all seem to be latched onto the idea of only having to deal with nappies for a limited amount of time, then having all kids toilet trained, and being done with it, rather having to keep going back as they would if the kids were spaced out.

Campaign backed. Looking forward to the return of recaps.

I kind of hope Jenny continues to be overlooked, right up until after she manages to escape from the house as an independent young woman, rather than a teenage bride.

Maybe things will change, but for now, Jinger seems genuinely happy. Her smiles don't look stretched and forced like they did when she was back at the homestead.

I really want some of those tiramisu cupcakes. I don't usually watch cooking shows (I followed Julia Chan here, because I liked her on Saving Hope), but it was nice to see moments where the bakers helped or complimented each other. None of the over the top drama and infighting I've read about in the recaps of the Top Chef style shows.

I'm generally of the opinion that the whole relegating certain foods to certain times of the day is ridiculous (why should it be weird to eat cereal for dinner or pizza for breakfast for example), but even so, who eats deep fried stuff as a late night snack, when presumably you'll be heading to bed soon after. I'd say he must have a cast-iron stomach, if it weren't for the fact that we've seen him gagging, and he's damn near skeletal, but hey, maybe his only health problem is being malnourished from living off junk like that.

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah

I share a house with my brother. He has the rooms on one side, I have the rooms on the other, and we share the kitchen & laundry. We do this because financially it makes sense, and since I've known him his whole life, I didn't have to get used to any weird roommate quirks, like I would have if I'd shared the house with a stranger. We are not some creepy patriarchal family with weird incestuous undertones though. We're just siblings who happen to get along as friends. So yeah, the older kids could quite easily move into a house together, where they all get their own bedroom and live independently of their parents (provided the boys don't automatically expect Jana to do all the cooking and cleaning just because she's a girl). -
I was wondering if they get first class because it’s easier to film there. More room for cameras, and the network can absorb it as a business cost.

Newsflash idiot Derrick, if someone is a predator, they're not going to look at a sign saying 'women only' and politely back away, they're going to go into the bathroom, and assault whomever they want. And the transgender people you're vilifying are far more likely to be attacked than being the ones doing the attacking. If only he'd also boycott Facebook, Instagram, Apple and Microsoft, all companies who have been open about supporting LGBTQ+ rights, we'd never have to hear from him again.
