  1. Doug said the paper proved she lied to Congress, but she didn't she admit to the abortion? I seem to remember her advisers freaking out about that.
  2. I may be all alone in this, but I don't believe for one moment that Claire has suddenly grown a conscience. First she made the Russian ambassador her Ladies Room attendant, then she pissed all over Not-Putin, probably as a payback for that "assault/kiss". Everything she does is in service of her goal: the presidency for herself, with a little revenge on the side. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the prisoner's suicide was what she wanted to happen all along. It may be distasteful to her to have collateral damage, but it doesn't stop her.
  3. It was obvious she wasn't going to have an abortion when she went to see Aisha about it; she knew exactly what her friend would say. Needing a "referral" was just an excuse to be convinced. A woman with money living in NYC has many options, if she wants them. Speaking of Aisha, I cannot stand this character. That she is good friends with Rosie & her husband tells me all I need to know about her.
  4. In the hysterical world of Rosie and Gary, yes it is. If Harry had shown up without Hector they would have accused him of a home invasion or attempted murder. And I don't think the show is exaggerating at all; I've known parents like this and much worse. Regarding the breastfeeding scenes, they seem much more discreet than the Australian version. I only watched the first episode of that, but there was a scene where the camera actually filmed Melissa George's nipple and the child sucking on it. Maybe it was a fake breast, but I couldn't tell. I find this show more interesting than the film version of "God of Carnage", a similar story. At least there's no vomiting. The narration doesn't offend me; it's not really adding anything though.
  5. I hope against hope that this is the absolute last time Kate will be brought back in any way, shape, or form. She's had enough chances already.
  6. I just started watching reruns of this show a few weeks ago and am enjoying it, but one thing bothers me. In the episode I'm watching right now, the homeowners just found out their deck was never permitted and has to be torn down. They're very upset and the wife sounds like she's blaming Hilary for the problem. Didn't they check this out when they bought the house? Real estate practices in Canada can't be that different from those in the States. I recently bought my 3rd house and wouldn't dream of closing without a title search and proof that everything was legal.
  7. This episode was worth watching for the phrase that will, for me, always sum up the essence of this show: "My model pooped on the runway".
  8. I thought Sanjia's dress looked like it would be perfect for a Mother of the Bride who was a former stripper. It did no favors for the bridesmaid and seemed very weird in the bosom. But Fabio totally deserved to go home for the lack of finishing on his dress. If you've got time to comment on everyone else's work, you've got time to sew a hem. Can't they do something about Zanna's hair?! Good gravy it looks horrible!
  9. It would have been so much more satisfying if they had gone all Tod Browning on Dandy's ass instead of doing it last week to Denis O'Hare's character. To make someone so physically beautiful "one of us" and leave him alive to star in the Freak Show he bought would have been a more fitting ending for him than mere death.
  10. It seemed like the cop's former partner knew about the email too; there had to be a good reason why he didn't want to go along with Cary's railroading. I wonder what would happen if Cary decided to sue the State's Attorney's office, Alicia won the election, the 2 of them had to face each other (again) in court.
  11. Kalinda messing with the server records notwithstanding, that cop should be reprimanded for having emails from other law enforcement agencies sent to his spam folder. And it seemed like his former partner knew what was going on with the shipment anyway - maybe he got the same email and actually read it. Cary may have entered a guilty plea but he hadn't allocuted yet, and since there was blatant coercion and misconduct going on with the police and the State's Attorney I don't see why there would be a problem with the judge dismissing. I really liked the whole bit with the "incarceration specialist", although at first I thought Cary was going to have the guy beat him up so he wouldn't be so appealing, like in the movie "25th Hour".
  12. There's also the fact that the juror failed to disclose his disability before things got underway. The lawyers had no opportunity to question him about it during voir dire, the court had no opportunity to make a reasonable accommodation.
  13. Did my ears deceive me, or did very tipsy Robert call Sybbie "Marigold" by mistake in the scene where he asked what she should call him? It was surprising Mary didn't comment because she's always so quick to jump on everyone else's faults, especially when it relates to Edith. I suspect the Bates' storyline is a way to show how loyal and wonderful Mary is, but it just doesn't ring true to me. She's the one character I absolutely can't stand.
  14. All I have to say is: can't wait for the holiday special "Rabbit, the Other Reindeer"!
  15. I don't think Oprah gives a second thought to all the charlatans she has foisted on the public. Robin has been front & center since day 1 of Phil's show and he's talked about his family since his earliest days on the Oprah show. It's a time-honored showbiz tradition to include family members in the franchise.
  16. Then Wendy and/or the lawyer would have been dead within a week. Gemma and the club would never have allowed a custody trial to happen.
  17. The color of Helen's creation, at least on my tv, looked very menstrual. I'm not a big fan of Gunnar, but that was a very classy goodbye. Good luck to you dear!
  18. But even from the first episode we know that Tig's romantic choices are....unusual. He was drawn to Venus from the moment they met. His club brothers have accepted and defended his choice (remember when that Aryan guy started calling Tig names?) And I don't think any restaurant patrons in Charming are going to insult Sons in public. Venus & Tig need their own spin-off show, kind of the New Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet.
  19. Appropriate that Jax went out his way, but he really should have taken flight over the cliff. Guess he just wasn't man enough to do it a la Thelma and Louise. I'm satisfied though, and we got to see sweet sweet Venus one last time!
  20. I thought Benjamin's coat was very "London in the Swinging 60's/Carnaby Street", and was surprised he was sent home. Judges complain that stuff is "too junior" or "too matronly", but it seems like that's what they use when they can't come up with any constructive criticism. I would have given Justin the win; his coat was gorgeous and saucy.
  21. Eros & Thanatos win the day! Jax knows what Mr. Mayhem is going to bring, why begrudge him a last fuck?
  22. I am just so happy Michael Chiklis made an appearance! Gemma got off too easy; it would have been better to see her suffer after all the chaos she caused.
  23. To me, Cary has always seemed kind of entitled and surprised when he doesn't get his way. He has shown some spectacular bad judgement in talking to Bishop's crew, even if it was joking around. Bishop's other lawyer, Wallace Shawn, would never have gotten caught in a situation like that.A smart lawyer should know better; and even if he retains his license who would want to hire him? And what exactly is Castro's problem? Agree that Matt Czuchry is doing a fabulous job! Knew that once Grace was back in the picture she would bring the stupid. Not to excuse Alicia, but that kid is an idiot. I haven't seen the actress who plays Geneva in anything else, but here she only has 2 expressions: pout or smirk.
  24. I think we should stick with Bowie. There are so many interesting numbers in his catalog that fit in with this season's theme and can be tarted up in better ways than Jimmy playing rock star. The real freaks here are the people without obvious mutations. What kind of man does that to his own daughter, and so gleefully? There had better be retribution.....
  25. Thank you for expressing this perfectly! Abel's a quiet little kid watching and learning and waiting.
