If they really have him floating all the way from Virginia to France on the bottom of a capsized rowboat, I may have to bail. -

Not only can't I say that, but I don't think I've ever seen the words "firefly" and "nuts" in the same sentence.

Well, I liked it a bit more than the last few rounds, but I'm glad the auditions are over. Anyway, in the order of the list I copied from a Yahoo article: Ahmed Bharoocha: A standup comedian. - we got about 20 seconds of his routine about ants. I guess it was ok. Chibi Unity: A dance troupe from Japan. - they were ok. No where near the talent of the Mayyas, and not golden buzzer worthy, IMO. Daragh & Dexter: A dog act from Denver. - dumb. The dog was cute. Donovan Diaz: A 20-year-old dancer from New Jersey. - I don't like this kind of dance, and he didn't change my mind. Duo Davida: A balancing act from Cuba. - a half-naked couple from Latin America called Duo ____ twists or balances. We've seen much better versions of this act. Eduardo Antonio Trevino: Mariachi singer. - I really like him. Great energy. Heather & Bogart: A three-legged dog act. - meh. They seemed nice, but no "wow" factor. Improv Everywhere: An improv singing performance. - I actually liked the spectacle of the whole thing. Yes, a bit hokey, but we've seen much worse acts go through. Josh Alfred: A comedian. - at first I was "wtf is this?" but by the third time, he was actually funny. Second performance artist in 2 weeks. Kevin Li: Magician. - I really liked his act. He needs to up the showmanship. Morgan & Roxi: An aerial act. - we've seen this before, but they brought a good energy, and the hair part was cool. Papayaso: An impressionist from Chile. - I liked him a lot! Great impressionist, and total fake-out. Titos Tsai: A sword act. - he was ok. Very beautiful to watch, but I don't know where it's going. Next week is a fast-forward show for sure!

They really didn't get that into it. I think we'll find out as it develops. In other words, I have no idea either. -

It was ok, more of the same. Definitely better than last season. I liked seeing an actually challenge instead of the dumb games. It's too early for me to pick favorites, but so far I don't like weird beard guy. -

That was a particularly gross episode. -
Well, a bit better than the last one, but still boring. I don't know why we need 9 weeks of auditions, any momentum from the first week is gone. I looked up the ratings and they are way down, but the show is still probably making money, so we continue. Pole act: buff naked people twisting around take 723. The last trick was impressive. Pizza Hut singer: likeable, good-looking kid with a decent voice. She'll be in the semi-finals. Dog dunk record: I wasn't really paying attention. Drum line: it was ok. I've seen better. Brazilian singer: a Golden Buzzer given to a talented act without a sob story? Shocking! Of course the guy is an established act already. A dog named Bun: dumb. I'm glad I was able to fast-forward. Zion Clark: I wish him the best. Rock band: not bad. I am a sucker for a pop cover done in a different style. The Twinjas: fun to watch. DJ Mixed Media: ok. Naked guys from Israel: we've seen this before, but they were pretty good at it. Country singer: I agreed with Howie. It was passable but not great. Last act fake-out: I'm slow on the uptake, but even I figured out it was a bit after a while. Kind of funny, but where's it going next?

So I caught an episode of the Love Boat today, and guess who was on? Everyone's favorite half pint! She was playing a tomboy who fell for a boy on the cruise, played by Jimmy Baio. -

This is true. https://deadline.com/2023/07/amc-interview-with-the-vampire-pauses-production-due-to-actors-strike-sag-aftra-1235439549/ I have to wonder why AMC released the promotional material. Hope? -

Yeah, I assume the shows are written, acted and presumably paid for, so they're ok. They just can't do new stuff. I imagine the strike will affect the next year or two of shows, even if it's settled soon. -

Spoilers & Speculation: Why IS Daryl in France?
Mr. Sparkle replied to OoohMaggie's topic in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
Thanks! I see that is available on AMC+, but I haven't seen any promotion for it. Anyway, no one's more cynical than me, but the last few minutes of that really weren't too bad! It gives me hope that maybe we'll see something a little different for a change. -
