  1. I am not known for my good memory, but when did any of the captains you mentioned covered for a murderer (especially when killed in the ship)? (Burnham I do not know and do not care)
  2. That's for sure, however soon this won't be enough. Cause the writing is not good and it follows the "Disco" way in many areas, especially on how the main characters keep behaving like high school friends gathered in a spaceship, instead of being professional Starfleet personnel and keep getting away with it. I like the chemistry and the actors, but they haven't earned their camaraderie. And I detest the cynicism/plot armor of forgiving your friends for crimes "because people are not perfect". When you brake the rules or/and the law you can't just use "people are not perfect" as an argument. And what kind of a captain shows favoritism to his friends? a BAD captain...
  3. OMG....... we are watching Disco, aren't we?? with the exception that everyone here seems to act like Burnham.. 😱 p.s. you forgot Pike allowing two people from the future running around Enterprise 😁
  4. With dedicating episodes to specific characters, SNW treats its season like if its the old good 22-24 episodes one instead of 10. It is the opposite of what Picard did with its 3rd season.
  5. Ok...are they trying to make Pike worse captain than Burnham? (I assume, since I haven't watched a single episode with her as a captain). Cause right now in my books...he acts more like if he just enjoying being in space with his friends than a true captain. He speaks to them like if they are his buddies and he covers for their crimes, because..well... they are his friends. A fact that he conveniently forgets when the episode's script demands extra tension (I mean asking from the war veterans to join the dinner with the Klingon? WTH?). Pike looks more interested in his next cooking meal than really commanding a Starfleet ship. The Doc in particular, seems to enjoy some extra immunity, let's not forget how much he endangered the whole ship and the crew when he had his daughter hidden in the buffer. Now he has PTSD so he is free to kill. Whatever..
  6. Just watched the episodes 2 and 3 (with a lot of FFW). Below Deck Down Under is like the poor relative of the franchise: -the boats look miserable -the food is from bad (last year) to "meh" this year (Rachel's food looks like 4 Michelen stars comparing) -even the locations look miserable, although I am not sure if it is the locations or if they are just poorly filmed, probably the latter. They should rename it BD Pacific and do Tahiti and Bora Bora or something. If they manage to shoot them right 😁
  7. Absolutely loved it. And I think Lower Decks is the new trek series that loves the Star Trek universe even more than us. I would even watch a LD crossover with Disco. There, I said it :D
  8. "I am Erica Ortegas, and I fly the ship!" Go girl, finally you got more lines than usual :) It did remind me of "I am 7 of 9, I will adapt".
  9. Well, I enjoyed this one more than the previous two. I am not sure about the timeline (werent the Eugenics wars supposed to happen earlier? I am not good in Trek history, but I think it was in the 20th century). Anyway, I still find the specific Kirk horrible, he is a deal breaker. They shouldn't even have Kirk in this show...maybe in the very last episode.
  10. I was really distracted by the bad face job of RR and her inability to actually show a range of emotions.... At one point I thought they would also charge her for being a robot.. It is even worse than the Doc's voice, but at the least the guy can act. I know it is difficult to get the kind of rare chemistry the TNG cast managed to have, but for me this crew hasn't really earned all their "camaraderie" and intimacy yet. Although Pike and Una hug was a nice touch. And I would also love Ortegas stop being reduced to a one line machine.
  11. I apologize if someone has mentioned this already, but I don't even believe the "guests" pay the tips. I have the feeling Bravo has a certain tips pool and asks the guests to rate or/and decide how big the tip will be. Rich people (except if they are very new money) do not really want to spend their holidays on reality TV, pretending to enjoy stupid theme parties. Quantity does not mean quality. I don't know what was the guests situation in the first seasons, but when you decide to have so many spin offs you soon run out of guests. And ideas. They have decided to turn the show to almost a scripted reality parody for juvenile audience. But even this cannot work ok when you have 5BDs.. And what is the reason of having 5 BDs in different locations when you do not even bother showing the locations anymore, instead you spend most of the show's time with who of the crew is the grossest?
  12. From the little I read here I am glad I did not watch the reunions and the last half of the season. I honestly could not care less about who is effing who and why, plus Gary is a person who appalls me and as long as he is a part of the crew I am not going to watch BDSY again. Our brain cells are to precious to get burned by whatever this show has turned into.
  13. Aesha told in a TV interview that the guests are also cast (surprise! NOT...) She answered a question about how is it to work with rich people or something (apparently the person who asked has not watched a single BD episode, rich people, LOL). You can find this at her Instagram account. Aesha is the sole reason I am watching this. I love her positive attitude. I would love her and Rachel in the same BD crew sharing the same cabin, and at the end of each day commenting about the episode's events. Or even better, sharing the day's shenanigans with Kate Chastain :D So far the crew seems ok, although there are still two missing and we haven't seen any of them in after-charters-stupidly-drunk-action. The boat is not bad, but it is looks nothing like a luxurious yacht for rich people. It is old (not vintage old, weary old) and poorly decorated. Still, I guess it must be easier for the tv crew to shoot, since it seems quite roomy. If you want to get an idea about a modern yacht for this kind of charters, search for Odessa, the one Rachel is currently working for. It is too gray for my taste but it is definitely a lux yacht. Still, my fav franchise boat of all is Parsifal III, from the sailing BD series.

  15. When the best part of the episode was the dedication to Nichelle you know there is a tad of a problem here. I found the whole thing boring, except Spok and Chapel, I ship those two. I just hope the rest of the season is about exploring and not wars, Klingons and Gorns..
  16. Yep... I saw the trailer and I am not very optimist about it.. I will only start watching it for Aisha, but if it is a sh1tty and juvenile (I am very polite here) as the other BDs have been this year, I will probably abandon this one as well. I am very curious about the ratings of the BD franchise the last couple of seasons. Do they do well cause there is actually an audience that enjoys watching awful crew affairs, soft porn, clogged toilets, idiotic parties and (mostly) paid morons who pretend they are clients?? Or the ratings sink and in Bravo headquarters they still believe that awful crew affairs, soft porn, clogged toilets, idiotic parties and mostly paid morons who pretend they are clients, will raise the numbers?

    S01.E10: Outside

No offence I hope, but I stopped reading there. She is the whole show.
  18. I enjoyed this show so much! so much! Please tell me there will be a 2nd season? Pretty please? with sugar on top? I guess Darwin, to investigate Eddie's partner murder.
  19. Well this show was a treat! Brain cells still hurt a bit, but it was so well made and with such good acting that I quite enjoyed this extravaganza.

But are they? cause if I remember well, in the episode where Jules fixed the generator, her boss told her she has to train her shadow (the young fella she punched) like if none one else really knew how to handle the generator as she does.

    S01.E10: Outside

He could at least try, after all he has all the power to keep Jules "under control, like he did when he made a "deal" with her by threatening her friends' safety. And ok, he might not want to trust Jules as an assistant/shadow/etc, but why not just make her go back to mechanical to continue to maintain the generator which is the most vital machine in the Silo? But instead he very easily prefers killing people in a very small society that needs every single competent person.

    S01.E10: Outside

In a post season interview, Rebecca Ferguson (Jules) said that in season 2 things will now can be dark... Which makes me wonder what the hell they have in mind, since season 1 wasn't exactly joyous... Also the writer of the books confirmed about Bernard (I put it as spoiler but I am not sure if it is) What kind of annoyed me (and I dunno how they did that in the books), is how easy was for Bernard to condemn Jules to death. I mean she is definitely smart, competent and useful, why he did not try to convince her to work with him after sharing some of his knowledge with her? It is not that they have plenty of people like Jules in the Silo, to kill such an asset without even trying to recruit her, well it is stupid.

    S01.E10: Outside

This the reply by the Author of the Book himself (no spoilers) Gotta weed out the people who "think" it's okay outside. Then give them exactly what they expect to see. Which makes them want to clean to "show" everyone else they were right. Also gets them giddy to the point of numb obedience.

Not sure the badge had anything to do with the glitch.. she took it with her to leave it next to sheriff Holston to honor him.
  25. Wow..this episode was the most serious so far..but a great one at the same time. I really have no clue who the killer might be. I am not even sure for Margaret's brother who owns the "bobbies" car. The commissioner is a moron, how on earth he will charge suspects that have alibi?
