Not a big fan of this finale. I did enjoy the season a lot, but did we have to do this all over again? Are we gonna spend next season again with Charlie on the run? I would much prefer if she was driving around America or even settle in a town solving crimes etc.

I absolutely loved it, probably the best ST episode I have seen in the new Trek era and one of the best of TNG. yes yes yes our heroes have basically hijacked Titan, yadda yadda yadda, I do not care, I am not going to nitpick it, I enjoyed it so much, I even found the son tolerable! Shaw's character is great, I hope he will make the series alive. My only worry was the female voice "calling" Jack, "find me"... It did cross my mind that it was... I am not gonna say her name she might haunt my dreams, but you know who..she keeps saving the universe in the worse ST series ever.

From personal experience I understand she wants to cover lost time with her dad and she is probably panicked she won't make it, but the writing and her acting are not good so she comes out as awful as you described it. Except Paul, they all seem to be hysterical in this show...

I started watching this recently. I have mixed feelings about it. I cannot stand of the lead actor or even maybe his character as well. Basically I think the only likable characters are Paul and Liz's hubby. All the rest are mostly annoying. I dunno, they are all a bit like caricatures overreacting about anything, which you can describe it as a form of comedy..but at the same time the show wants us to take it seriously. Well, that isn't working for me. Anyway I guess I mostly only watch it for Harrison Ford.

First episode I disliked... I found it cliche, cliche, very cliche and stupid. Also was there something wrong with Hilary Swank? her acting was.. I dunno...wooden?

S03.E03: Part Three - Seventeen Seconds
Zaffy replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Star Trek: Picard
So... 24th century, right? Birth Control must be 100% effective, right? So... Beverly and Picard "tested the mattress" without taking any precautions? Was it Beverly who wanted a Picard Jr? Or was it the "you did not want children" fella who didn't put a glove on this willie? This is so confusing and so silly..and not believable.. -
S03.E03: Part Three - Seventeen Seconds

This is one was meh... So far, I cannot stand anything Jack related. I found Beverly's excuses idiotic (to say the least) and the son so annoying that I confess I wanted him to die ..but his mamma revived him... doh... I also do not get Vedic's tactic..she wants the son alive, so shooting at ship he is located is so stupid. And what about the mole in Titan? why he did not destroy the warp sooner and avoid all the nebula drama? Or deactivate shields and transport Jack to the other ship..or or or there are so many actions he could take. And then we have the badly written confrontation between Riker and Picard.. I mean wth? none of it made sense, except maybe if this is not the real Will. To my surprise I actually enjoy the Raffa - Worf plot and I do not mind the changelings as the main villain. I am hoping we are not having a deja vu with last season, that had 2 amazing episodes at the beginning and from there it went downhill... -
Awful episode, I just watched hoping it would be the end of that annoying "villain". But.. meh... For us who didn't watch Feds, could some of you who managed to watch it till the end give us a summary? did Elijah finally left Rookie's world for good? (crosses fingers) thanks in advance.

Absolutely loved it, the great cast and amazing acting.. and of course the "loose horse on the premises"... But I dunno..if anything can surpass the MAGA dog!

A decent episode, even if the end was a bit cheesy. I like Churlish, from the first moment I saw her I thought she should join the team. I do not like what they are doing with Velasco, it is a very boring story and I do not really care about it cause well they never really made us care about Velasco.

Well add me to the club! I would say the best episode of the reboot so far, but the reboot is so weak that it would not be fair for this episode. So I agree that this is one of the best L&O. Very well written and acted and directed. I hope they will keep the good work going.

I have no problem with Picard's son, but his character is so annoying, so annoying... he is that close to be as annoying as Indiana Jones' son. Wesley is amazingly cool compared to him. I enjoy the season so far. Even the Raffi parts (WORF!!!). And Captain Vadic is a delight. These beautiful end credits keep reminding us the TNG theme is one of the best OST tunes ever composed. Great Jerry Goldsmith. p.s. Captain! (all three: WHAT?) Captain Shaw: "We're basically a hotel now! "

whatever they do, the result is weak....

I can't say I liked this one.. The case was interesting and very sad, but for once we had a happy end. But the dialogues were bad and the acting and directing not as good either. I really like Bruno.. I think he is one of the best things happened to SVU. Ever.

You mean a season 4??

It seems like the revival's scripts are all about hot issues/topics/events but presented in a simplistic and shallow way. Like the cop who froze (Like the cops who did not act in that school shooting while kids were murdered, etc etc). Like all the comments the detectives or/and the DAs make during the episodes. You need to have good writers in order to talk about our sh1ty world. And this L&O does not have any good writers anymore. This episode was stupid..stupid. I was not convinced that guy was the murderer, but it doesn't really matter, as long as we had the hero/non-hero cop situation. And at one point they should stop with the unhappy end "shock".

Thank you Elijah for that lovely valentine's gift..NOT. I almost slept with the lights open. I hope those monsters were cgi... I have given up from trying to find any kind of realism in this show, so the whole "Nolan saves the day" or he is a part of any major crisis in this enormous city does not surprise me anymore. So, that British-Bailey bodyguard-lady must be an Elijah spy, right? I so much do not care about Celina's sister cold case... I won't be surprised if it was Elijah as well. Why not? The only good thing in this episode was Felicia Day, even if in a microdose. It is so interesting how much Fillion takes care of his friends and keeps inviting them in his shows. Loyalty!

S03.E01: Part One - The Next Generation
Zaffy replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Star Trek: Picard
I absolutely loved it. The chemistry between the TNG actors is amazing. Probably cause they are like family in real life as well. I like Picard is still with Loris, I like 7 in a uniform, I even enjoy that a** a of captain she has. I have a suspicion about Rafi's boss... that "this is a war and you are a warrior" line... hmmm... Qapla'? 😉 The end credits with the First Contact theme was amazing. The "for Annie" card broke me a bit.. p.s. I did not know Rafi comes from Raffaella and now everytime she is on screen I hum Raffaella Carra's songs... -
I thought it was Celina...

those lil'buggers, they fooled me that they would kill Elijah with their police con...but nope.. no such luck.. at least we did not have Simone, cause when I saw her FBI buddies I was terrified for a moment! Someone somewhere must tell police drama TV writers, that keep having a big villain after another, crimelord or serial killer, is not interesting anymore, it is just a boring cliche. Especially for The Rookie that the "cases" of the week's patrol was its initial charm. I confess... I do... I admit it dammit... I even enjoyed Bailey more than the Elijah story. There, I said it! :D hahaha, I also thought she was alive and her death was some kind of con.

I want to see Rachel in "Traitors" now. She will either win it or leave after 2h!

Mild spoilers for season 3. I just finished the series. Overall I think it was good drama with amazing performances and some really strong moments/scenes. However, I think this season was the weakest of all. I think the whole handling of the Tommy story was basically lazy writing with the purpose of leading to some strong moments. As it happens with most of Peak Tv. We do not care for realism (hey! it is TV fiction not real life - what a stupid argument) but for the strong moments that stay in the viewer's memory. Like, in our case, some of the chats between the two sisters, or the final confrontation of Catherine and Tommy. We are not supposed to care about how Tommy got there (which was a result of many unrealistic moments + incredible luck combined with the ultra stupidity of his plenty of enemies) as long as we get our super scene with Catherine. Well, yeah, this has become tiresome and the weird thing is how much everyone (including top TV reviewers) love this bad writing and treats it as well... Peak TV!

The other week we had a judge taking the most inexplicable of decisions favoring the defense, this week we have a judge that rules there is no confidentiality in confessions.. NY judges are nuts, right? Or is it just lazy writing? Both maybe? Add me to the club that knew the brother will probably be the main protagonist of a shocking finale, although I was leaning more towards him killing the mega rich pastor than biting the dust himself..

I cannot take seriously any plot/episode that uses Stabler as undercover. Although I liked his undercover pimp shirt 😁

Decent episode, for the SVU standards. I like Bruno, I think he will be a good addition. I do not like Velasco so I do not mind if he leaves and maybe bring in his place that nice black lady detective from Bronx (cant remember her name). Now, is it me or they have really gone way to violent and more into crimes graphic details this season? I mean, yeah sexual offences are considered especially hainous, but I preffer it when they leave some stuff unseen or the crimes are not that deadly (like the multiple fatalities in the last car crash). Last week showing Duarde being hacked with machettes almost like if we were watching a splatter movie, was way too much. Oh and I liked Benson's hat!
