I have only two words for this episode's story: TOO SOON.

Protected.... hmmm Is Carla's boyfriend in some kind of witness protection? Or a crucial informer for a very important case? Does he knows stuff and blackmails the 3 police officers? I think June's boss is the worst of all. Every time I see him I really wonder how on earth he is in charge, the little @#$$!%!@#

That's my only issue with the series so far. This is a big big case. They should had called every forensic specialist to come and help with the investigation. Shouldn't FBI be there as well? I do expect some ppl from the scientists company to arrive soon. It is a tad insane they haven't been there yet.

I really enjoy it so far. I like that it has a touch of vintage, like the ship, the decorations even the clothes. The cast is just fine and I quite like Patinkin in this one (he usually annoys me). I find no similarities with the White Lotus, a show that I despised.

Hagerty is even more evil in this one. Almost has June killed.. the bugger! What I did not enjoy in the cold case, is Errol Mathis. Very convenient how unstable and confused seems to be. Also, I know nothing about UK judicial system, but how they accept a confession of a person while being in drugs?

Maybe that dvd accident awoke whatever was awake! Could be the plot of the season... Ferris Bueller is actually evil!! 😉

Animals and humans can spasm and move after they are dead. I have seen similar scenes in morgues. I had also seen that happening to my cat :( It is really creepy of course.

First of all I have to say that I hated S1 and haven't watched the other two. I am here for the combination Jodie - Arctic Circle - Mystery. The first episode was intriguing enough and I will definitely watch the 2nd one. It does remind me a tad of Fortitude. The only thing I really disliked about this episode was the many loud songs that were supposed to be significant or something? Each one of them just managed to annoy me. I hope they will tone it down in the rest of the episodes. You can't create a nice mystery atmosphere with supernatural elements and "bang!" a song... and then another one and another one.. It is not a bloody video clip.

I don't know how this will evolve, but Geez, there were indeed some shots of Capaldi that made him look like the incarnation of evil.. So far, the whole show is its two leads. They are both amazing actors with a strong presence and very well directed and filmed. I actually do not mind much about the crime plot so far, as long as those two keep doing their thing on screen.

S01.E02: Chapter 2: The Silver Doe
Zaffy replied to jenrising's topic in A Murder At The End Of The World
First of all I really giggled with all those libraries everywhere, to me is really obvious they are just "cool" decoration and nothing else. Second, I gave up the series after this episode. It makes no sense but has a lot of style, a combination I despise. It was sad that Bill died before explaining to us why such a gifted artist like him had such a horrible hairstyle.. Now we will never know... But there is something I do not get and I would like your feedback: How on earth an ME was allowed to bring his kid in crime scenes let alone let it see the dead bodies? How old was she in that scene? 10? 11? 12? WTF? I mean, apart from screwing up your kid for life, how reliable/acceptable in court are any of the ME's reports with his unauthorized daughter being present in the scenes or in the morgue? -
Goodbye "The Crown". A very well made series about extremely boring ppl. I still believe the whole series should not have been more than 20 episodes in total. The last 2 seasons seemed to last forever. "Ritz" was a wonderful episode even if at times quite hard to watch. The rest was boring and sometimes really annoying. Annoying mostly because of Charles. I have no clue how accurate was Charles' portrayal, but Geez...he is one of the most annoying TV characters, ever! I could not stand of him, especially the Dominic West one, who I think he was so miscast that managed to make Charles even more intolerable. Best episode of the series: Aberfan.

My BIG problem with this series is... that I cannot binge watch it... ArGH!

Like if Sandy is really the one taking the decisions. I think the only authentic Sandy we see is when she is starting her motivating deliriums, sleeping and I guess when she is docking the boat, although not sure if she is allowed to dock as she knows or she gets notes from the production in order to stir more drama.

**** SPOILERS for SEASON 2 **** So I watched the rest of the season, slightly better than the first two episodes but still full with so many cliches... There were literally no surprises, nothing we haven't seen before. It was so obvious the hacker-lady was undercover and that Mo would knew. So obvious that Maddie would be the one to "take care" of the bad guy.. So obvious that Chandler is clever enough not to get caught. And there was so much stupidity... the FBI people were constantly a joke, the DA as well, not to mention the duo of corrupted cops, a.k.a. Dumb and Dumber. I feel sorry for poor Maddie, her PTSDs (from various reasons) must have reached the size of Godzilla.. Best and most emotional moment... Lance Reddick's cameo... snif... Btw, someone please remind me, how Bosch got this house? must be a really expensive one..

Still, I remember them in real life (from pics and vids) and they seemed to have more chemistry. I dunno if they were going to get married (and didn't care, lol) but they did look like a believable couple and Dodie definitely looked more interesting. In the series it makes you wonder why non earth she is with him, and no, the shelter he provided was not enough. So if the creators chose to show us a very uninteresting, weak, whining Dodi to prove a point, well I find this as a big mistake. On the other hand, it did fit their narrative that the Fayeds were creepy and thirsty for Royal recognition and I still think the creators were a tad racists against them.

When I watched the first 2 episodes of the 2nd season I found it so cliche and so bad I was actually discouraged to watch the rest. I watched episode 3 and things got improved a bit, although the cliches continue: the bad Federals that are after our heroes... Did they assign this season's scripts to an AI bot?

This season reminded me that there is a lot of fiction in this series and it is not an accurate description of the events. Problem is, judging from what I saw from the Diana episodes, I now doubt most of the previous stuff we watched, even the very early. So, this whole first half of the season felt really flat to me. And boring.. I was an adult when Diana died and I remember very well the global shock (or hysteria as some put it). I am afraid the show failed to make me feel a single thing. Very weak writing and direction. The whole idea about MM's shenanigans to pair Dodi and Diana was "meh". And to be honest I did get some racist vibes from all this. But the biggest problem was the lack of chemistry between Dodi and Diana. Was it the actor who played Dodi or just the writing? Maybe both? I dunno, but I could not get what Diana found on him. There was no charm at all. Nothing. Nada. And when you do not get any feelings/emotions from Diana's side you can't expect to get much from the Royal Bots. I found Charles' reactions not believable at all. Maybe cause I think West is the worse Charles ever and a big miscast. In any case, the only time they managed to make me feel a bit emotional was when the royal secretary(?) went to announce the news and he stopped for a few seconds to compose himself. The whole Diana era of the show has been it's worst. Diana was probably the most exciting thing happened to the Royal Bots during Elizabeth's era (most exiting, not most important) but they never managed to pass this to the viewers. I also think a big factor was the number of the episodes/seasons they had to fill. I believe just 3 seasons of the Crown in total would be just fine.

I bet in a real boat with real sailors/stuff and with not TV involved Sandy would show more competence in this area. Here, she is just playing a role and feeds the motivational monster that is hiding inside her. I honestly think one day, her chest will open (like in Alien movie) and a motivational walking poster will come out.

Tumi behaving so different than the Down Under BD proves how much "scripted" by the production this show is. And when I say scripted I do not mean they give them lines to read (well, you never know) but guiding/pushing them on how to act. I wonder if Bravo has chosen this BD franchise recent "format" because they did audience research and this is what the audience wants or *they* think that this is what the audience wants. There is this Bravo Con that took (or still taking) place and it seems that BD characters like Aesha are quite popular. I mean Aesha can open a hole in your brains with her voice, but she acts like a real decent person, away from pitiful shenanigans and juvenile love (hah!) stories. Maybe that is what the audience wants after all?

Rutherford Falls was the first TV show that made me see Native Americans's current state in a different way than usual. As someone already mentioned, TV uses to show reservations in such a way, that me, the ignorant European, thought there were hell on earth and everyone living on them is a miserable junkie zombie. I can't really stand the lead, but it is indeed a fun show. Too bad it got cancelled..

I am so glad I kept watching after the first few episodes that seemed a tad weird to me. But I adjusted soon and I really liked this gem. Maybe the finale was a tad utopian, but you know what? In our times we really need to be reminded what community is. What solidarity is. To remember how to respect people and treat elders nicely. We have lost most of the above and our societies are slowly turning to jungles. As someone who lives in Europe, I am glad I see more shows about Native Americans, Reservation Dogs, Dark Winds, Rutherford Falls. I hope these shows respect the tribes, their culture and their people. Mvto :)

Not sure if it is just vanity or the "motivational syndrome". She talks to everyone like she is giving a motivational speech. She just need to give life advises. She is a motivation truffle pig! I bet if she has pets she also try to motivate them like..to poop better. A friend calls her "the walking motivational poster".

I dunno what is wrong with me, but I did watch the first two episodes in a row and they were quite tolerable. I even found Sandy ok (!!!!!). The location is gorgeous and it was nice the guests went for a walk, even if the reason behind their shore excursion wasn't the best. I did skip the "crew going out" segment" and the silly guests party. I was surprised Tumi came a tad hot, but at this point I believe everything is production driven. The visas problem, the initial bosun issue, hell I am even sure a production diver went and tied that brick on the anchor the night before!

Best episode of the season so far. I loved everything in it. The whole "triplets" sequence was fantastic! I think there is something weird with the poisoning. What if Ben ate the donuts, that were poisoned for someone else?
