  1. I remember being surprised by this episode because I honestly didn't think the city would end up destroyed. It reminded me of earlier in the season when I assumed that Walter would be a bad guy but they subverted my expectations completely. Arrow is good like that sometimes. I like being shocked.
  2. Yeah, I loved everything about this episode apart from the Oliver/Laurel hook-up. Tommy's face when he saw them through the window killed me.
  3. Ooops. Oh yeah. Gotta be honest, I'm not the biggest Roy fan. I don't have a problem with him but I don't have much of an impression of him as part of Team Arrow either. I'm hoping that changes this season though!
  4. That promo made me excited for everything and the stunts look crazy good! Olicity - YES! Thea training with Malcolm - can't wait! Not sure what Laurel is doing but if they play up to KC's ability to play bitchy, then I am all for it. I just don't buy her as a goody two shoes. The only thing that was missing was Diggle. I need some Diggle spoilers.
  5. I don't really have much of an opinion on this Cupid character yet, my only hope is that she doesn't go after Felicity in any way. I don't really want another 'Count' situation.
  6. Yeah, I think hey misread it. I did at first too. I just don't see the guy hanging around for three episodes. They could always bring him back in a future season though, depending on how they set up his storyline, because it looks very much like he gets done by the FBI.
  7. Hahaha I love how Roy looks terrified in every one of Missmert's drawings. So cute! I want that to become a thing on the show lol.
  8. Could be, could be! I can't imagine Felicity letting anyone take the fall for her though, can you guys? Maybe he's the one who introduced her to hacking in the first place. Lol remember in s1 when Felicity said she was dying to hack into the FBI database? Could this be one of the reasons why?
  9. Oh I didn't have sound playing before but you're right. It does sound like EBR. It's just really not how I pictured her looking! I'm so curious now OMG.
  10. It could be but it really doesn't look like EBR. Hair color aside, the body shape is completely different. If it is her though OMG. I can't wait for that episode.
  11. Wow. Like @NumberCruncher said above, I was a little concerned that despite the build up and their chemistry, Olicity's first kiss might be a little awkward but hot damn, holy hell. Just those few seconds and my fears are forever gone. That brief clip was seriously hot! I cannot wait to see them kiss properly. As others have said, they are clearly in the hospital so my guess is baby Diggle was born and Oliver sees Lyla and Digg really happy and he wants to be with the woman he loves and just has to kiss Felicity now. I think this takes place after he's asked her out (especially because of Felicity's reaction to being asked out) but obviously before the actual date. I don't care when it happens, just that it's happening. Seriously, I'm not over how hot that is. Wowsa! As for the rest of the clip, I'm really excited about Thea's storyline now and I'm intrigued as to why Laurel, the DA, is beating up some guy in a hospital bed. If this is how she's going to be, then I am on board for it. Make Laurel a little devious and questionable and I would love it!
  12. I thought the whole business partners thing was Oliver catching the bad guys and Laurel putting them away but like others have said, I'm not so sure now. Also, if the team still operate in the same 'lair' as before that means Oliver must regain control of Verdant and I assumed that Isabel took that away from him too. My only guess is rather than having money to invest (which I don't believe for reasons people have explained above) maybe Laurel is the one who co-signs an agreement or something. You know sometimes when people get loans or mortgages they have to have someone reputable to co-sign it to ensure payment if that person fails to do so first. I wouldn't be surprised if Laurel being the DA was able to co-sign Oliver's lease on the club again? I'm guessing here but I can't think how else they would be 'business partners' outside of the whole 'you catch 'em, I cook 'em' thing.
  13. It is kind of sneaky that they're introducing stuff in the comics that plays out in s3. As long as you don't have to read the comics though, it shouldn't be too bad. Still, I'm kind of annoyed that we're not going to actually see the build up to certain things like Oliver finally asking Felicity on a date and Laurel and Oliver becoming business partners.
  14. Ooooooooh. I am so excited! I'm intrigued by what might piss Laurel off. I'm guessing it might be something to do with Sara but who knows?!!
  15. You know, I agree that just because fans are vocal doesn't mean they are the majority but come on, Felicity is hugely popular. I rarely see hate for her and when I do it's just from Laurel fans who feel she's taking away time from the female lead. No hate here, just going by what I've seen. I've never seen such support and love for a character from all avenues before (fans, EP's, critics, the head of WB). I mean, before Arrow was even on my radar I was hearing such positivity about Felicity and I rarely pay attention to things I'm not watching. She's big news. So I really feel like Felicity is safe. I can't speak for when they run out of interesting things to do in s5 or s6 (personally I don't think the show should run that long, five seasons max would be better) but for now I don't think we have anything to worry about where Felicity dying is concerned. And if she did die, BIG MISTAKE. I can't tell you how many people I know only watch the show or started watching the show because of Felicity. She's magic. She's certainly what kept me watching when I was about to quit. Also, who cares if Marc is using Olicity to promote the comics? I don't. It's worked on me. I will be buying my first comic because I want to see Olicity and Team Arrow in action. They're getting money out of it and I'm getting enjoyment out of it too. All this nonsense about fan pandering is exhausting. Oh no. Giving fans what they want. How terrible! Sorry, that was a little catty but I get so annoyed by that phrase.
  16. Yeah it was pretty obvious that weird grin was all KC and not Laurel. That's why it was so jarring. Why would you be grinning like an idiot if your sister gave you her jacket? Symbolism aside, it's ridiculous. It should have been played more subtle. But to keep my post on topic, I have to agree that Sara leaving with the LoA felt kind of weird and jarring considering she fought so hard (and threatened to kill herself) at the thought of returning to that life earlier in the season. And Laurel and Quentin's reactions didn't ring true either but I could accept that they were trying to be supportive. I don't know. I guess at least they know she's alive this time.
  17. Well, I hope Digg has a lot going on with A.R.G.U.S and H.I.V.E because it's all I've wanted for him for so long now (they set up the story and just sort of abandoned it before) but I still don't know if I trust the writers 100%. There needs to be balance and knowing how Digg (and Felicity) were sidelined last season I do wonder if they learned from that. I guess I'm fine with the odd scene here and there with the baby but honestly I would have preferred if this development had waited until at least s4. I just want Digg front and centre of the action and I wonder how a baby will impede that. But yeah, Diggle is awesomesauce whatever he does.
  18. I have to be honest, I am really not looking forward to Daddy Diggle. This is not what I wanted for his character at all. Cute pic though.
  19. Same. I don't buy that at all but then I still feel like Team Arrow only consists of Oliver, Digg and Felicity. Everyone else feels like add-ons to me. Oooops.
  20. See, the beauty about Felicity's character is that yes, technically on paper I guess you could describe her as one dimensional but not once have I ever thought that when she's on screen. EBR has taken what little she's been given and made her into this whole person. That's why I've been pretty ok with waiting to know more about her because not knowing didn't do her a disservice in any way. Now is the time to find out more though and I hope it just fills in those little questions we all have about her. Ra's Al Ghul as Felicity's dad? Ugh. No. That is the opposite of what I want. I don't get why everything has to be tied in and wrapped up with everything else. We already have Digg's brother's death linked into H.I.V.E and whatever, do we really need to go there with Felicity too? It's unnecessary. Not everything/everyone should be interconnected. It takes away the beauty of Oliver's first meeting with her then. I liked that these two people likely never would have met and then were thrown together and grew as friends and fell in love. If it turns out that they're all linked anyway it kind of takes away the magic of that. But that's just me.
  21. I'm not bothered about meeting Felicity's mom, I'm more interested in Felicity. If her mom has to be part of that, part of discovering more about her, then so be it. It's weird though, I don't want Felicity to not be Felicity Smoak. I hope there was no name change in there. I don't know why, I just find the idea unsettling. Also I like the idea that Felicity has a more grounded backstory. I don't need there to be criminal activity or whatever. I'd enjoy it just as much if she simply came from a broken home. Why does everything have to be wrapped up in something so big, y'know? Saying that I am interested to find out about these secrets. The way that twitter conversation played out suggests that there's more secrets that we won't know about even after episode 305. I honestly forgot that Alex Kingston was Laurel's mom. OMG. I think it was the absence of her curly hair but still. Wow. That says a lot!
  22. I could not agree more with this! I was pretty shocked that nothing was said about how Oliver just abandoned his only sister when their mother was in jail and she'd lost Tommy too (I assume they were pretty close during the five years Oliver was missing). It's times like that when I hate how self-absorbed Oliver is, lost in his man pain. I get that he was hurting and he wanted to run but his sister needed him more. It was pretty shitty. I would never ship them because he slept with her sister. I'd probably think what a waste of good chemistry if they even had any. But that backstory is way too disgusting and toxic for me to root for. NO WAY. That said they probably would still be endgame because people have a funny way of forgetting important details like 'HE SLEPT WITH HER SISTER' when chemistry is involved. Heck, people even forget that now and they have no chemistry to even speak of!
  23. I'm curious about what the EP's felt was 'too big' about s2 because there was a middle run of episodes there that just felt like filler, especially during the flashbacks. I felt like a lot of time was wasted when it could have been exploring other things. They just need more focused writing. As for their mistakes with Laurel, the way they still talk about her having 'exciting things' coming in s3 that they have been building for 40 plus episodes makes me think they don't have the same ideas as us. The problem with Laurel is that she - the supposed female lead - became surplus to the show when she didn't click romantically with the male lead and then later when Sara was introduced as the Canary (sorry, I still call Sara BC and probably always will even though I'm told there's supposed to be a distinction). I admit some of KC's acting choices have been crappy but on the whole it's the writing that has let that character down. I don't see how they're going to turn it around after 2 whole seasons. I'm interested to see if they do it though.
  24. At the time of airing I thought Sara's "Oliver needs you" line was one thrown in there by the EP's desperately clinging onto Laurel/Oliver as the show OTP. Part of me thought it was kind of weird because Sara had still been sleeping with Oliver only a couple of weeks beforehand and it felt like the icky handing over the use of Oliver's dick. SHUDDER. But then another part of me felt like it was Sara acknowledging that Laurel knows his secret now and he needs all the support he can get. After we got all the Olicity spoilers for s3, I'm assuming that it was more along the lines of support. They don't have to be romantic to be in each other's lives. Their relationship is best left as friends so I'm hoping that's all it meant. As lines go though, it's kind of wash. It really could mean anything. But based on what we know about the romance side of things, I don't see any romantic intention there at all.
  25. Yeah I think the Felicity as Oliver's 'crush object' was just badly worded because I remember in that same section it said something like 'Am I Laurel or am I my sister?' in relation to Laurel's identity which is just plain stupid if you ask me. I think it's just paraphrasing their intentions for the season but doing it badly.
