  1. I have to say now that I've seen that hand holding picture, it really is very sweet. Kind of like teenage sweethearts sweet. Also there's no context for it. He could have just been leading her somewhere or squeezing her hand in reassurance or something. I don't look at them and think chemistry and wow, they need to kiss which is what happens whenever Felicity and Oliver are in breathing distance of each other. There is no comparison. This really is a way of getting people to watch The Flash because Felicity is the best and also a way of helping the Barry/Iris situation. I'm also ok with Felicity dating someone else and trying to move on. I just hope they give her a little time to do so. I'd be more than happy if nothing happens with Ray until mid season. They can be flirting and he asks her out and she thinks 'why not?' I just think if Olicity both admit they love each other in 301, it just seems a little fast for her to start dating so soon. She can know deep down that she needs to move on with her life but that doesn't mean she'd necessarily be equipped to do so. These things take time. That's why mid season seems perfect to me. That said, the more I see these spoilers the more I think not much of anything will really happen with Ray and Felicity. I think there will be banter that leads to friendship and flirting and maybe even a few dates but I don't think it will be anything serious. He's only signed on for 14 episodes. How far could it go? Again this is just a catalyst for Oliver to get himself together.
  2. I agree it doesn't make sense that someone with her skills would be in IT. She should have at least been running the IT department, that I would have believed. Although, if I remember correctly, it was implied that she was all but running it anyway only without the fancy title. Saying that, there have been plenty of shows where things don't add up logically so we might just have to let it slide that she was in IT even though she's better than that. I think maybe we're thinking too much about things they don't expect us to even consider. I'm also curious about the lacrosse player! Maybe she tutored him and that's how they met. I get the impression that she didn't realize her own beauty/power at college and probably had all these guys following after her lol.
  3. She fascinates me too. And what amazes me is that although I'm looking forward to Felicity's backstory a great deal, and I can't wait to learn more about her, I don't NEED it to make her a complete character. EBR has taken this character and made her three dimensional and believable and loved with so very little and that is just incredible. So while I want the backstory to help fill in those little questions we have, I don't need it to make her real. She's already real and I love that about her. Saying that, it is the right time to give us the answers. I can even buy that the reason it's taken so long to find out is because she doesn't like to talk about personal things but now she finally feels safe and accepted in a place where she can. I mean, I can infer so much from what little we know and that's great to speculate but at the same time it should be good to find out a little more. Let's think about what we know already: 1) She built computers from age 7. 2) Mom is a cocktail waitress in Vegas 3) Dad abandoned her when she was young 4) She went to MIT 5) Had some lacrosse player who used to stalk her in college? I remember something about him camping in his car outside her house... 6) Hacker - more than competent so must have been doing it for years It's not a great deal but there's little things here that off-shoots into so much more. Like if her mom was a cocktail waitress, how did Felicity end up building computers at such a young age? Did she learn hacking in Vegas or did she develop that at MIT? How did she afford MIT? How did she jump from MIT in Massachusetts to Starling City? It makes me wonder if she was head hunted. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened and they put her in IT with every intention of working her way up the career ladder. SO MANY THOUGHTS!
  4. I am confused by the crossover talk lol. I just think the Clock King has to be involved. Me too. 302 Felicity has scenes with Laurel and Sara and I think Roy. 303 is about Diggle and Deadshot and I've not seen any indication that Felicity is involved there and then 304 she's in CC. So now I'm getting a feeling that Felicity is going to be spending too much time away from the team and I do not want that. Team Arrow is my main reason for watching. I'm all for a little shake up but they shouldn't mess too much with that dynamic. It's perfect as it is.
  5. My guess is that the Clock King is what starts the crossover event. If the CK is in 107 of The Flash then that is what draws Team Arrow to episode 108. It's too much of a coincidence to have an Arrow villain just one episode before a crossover and not have it linked in some way. Unless I'm getting all confused.
  6. Yes exactly. Team Arrow learns that The Clock King is in play in Central City and it's close to Felicity because he outplayed her and she will obviously want to help. Crap, I'm gonna have to watch The Flash now.
  7. I see it as there being no choice for her sticking around, even when she's in danger. The Team (and Oliver) and what they're trying to achieve outweighs her need to be safe. It's part of her life now. She's adapted and she loves it. She feels part of a family, part of something important. I'm guessing here but if it was just her and her mom while she was growing up (and I get the feeling it wasn't a great mother/daughter relationship) then it makes sense that she's felt alone most of her life and then in comes Oliver and Digg and they become kind of a family and she's appreciated for what she does. She's loved. I don't think she'd ever leave, even after what happens to her 301.
  8. I never really questioned why Felicity so easily joined Team Arrow. We knew from previous episodes that she hated mysteries and had to solve them and so when Oliver kept coming to her with all these stupid stories, she questioned it. She thought about it a lot. So that's why her lack of surprise about Oliver being The Hood was believable to me. I think also with Digg being there she was able to get some perspective. She did ask plenty of questions and probably in that time while waiting for Oliver to wake up, she was able to solidify things in her head. Plus she's not a clean as she looks because she obviously has a long history of hacking so it's not exactly new to her. I do honestly think she intended to stay just to help find Walter but obviously that changed because she saw what good they were doing and the Team became an important part of her life.
  9. Wow she looks so beautiful and she's outside! Now that I've thought about it, I'm ok with her and Barry. It's one episode and she's there to help Barry's story which is to realize that he's in love with Iris. I'm ok. Ok. But I feel sorry for her. She deserves to be happy but can't be with the guy who could make her happy. It's gonna be a tough season!
  10. I can buy Felicity throwing herself into something because she's still hurting from whatever happens with her and Oliver but kissing is a bit much for me, esp so soon after 301. They need to do this very carefully. The balance is important and I don't know if the writers are up to task...
  11. I am not liking the idea of Felicity and Barry kissing. I'm all for friendship but how do we believably go from Oliver in 301 to Barry in The Flash 104 to Ray later in the season? Looks like this is what starts the crossover maybe?
  12. See, I thought the same thing before. The only way Laurel would ever have a 'believable' motivation for becoming BC is if Sara dies. Then someone pointed out to me here that they could have done that when Tommy died, which is also true. So why did they wait? Why waste a whole season building Sara as a believable and better BC with a solid justifiable backstory when you intend to make someone else BC? It doesn't add up. I also don't like the idea of killing off Sara just so Laurel has a reason for existing. That really sucks. I really don't know how they're gonna do it and I'm concerned that whatever they attempt to do will just feel so forced.
  13. I've been thinking a lot about Laurel as a character because whether we like it or not, she probably will become BC and I am having a lot of trouble wrapping my mind around that idea so I just wanted to pace it out. So say she meets and they have a connection or whatever and they flirt and he suggests play fighting which gets her in the ring and she's better than he thought. Say he starts to train her, for fun at first and to keep seeing each other. Then what? I can't see how Laurel goes from learning some self defence moves to wanting to become a vigilante. The path is too unclear. There's no reasoning behind it, no method. I don't understand. I can see why she's helping Oliver while she's in the DA's office because that's what she does. She helps put the bad guys in jail. That I understand. But I can't make the logical jump from that to BC. Someone help me understand because this is really annoying me.
  14. Exactly my issues. She just went back and forth on how she felt and acted accordingly and I just couldn't keep up. I would have preferred if she hated Oliver for at least half the season before maybe slowly warming up to him but it was barely an episode before she was talking to him again. I refuse to believe that she would do that after what he put her through.
  15. I agree. I think the problems with Laurel's character are a combination of writing and acting choices. I lean more towards writing but sometimes there's something KC does that I find off-putting, like the huge smile when Sara handed her the infamous black leather jacket. Why would Laurel be smiling like that when she gets given a jacket? It just read like KC to me, like 'yeah finally I'm gonna be BC wooooo!' Ugh. A lot of the reason why I never rooted for Laurel is because I didn't understand her choices. I've seen some people say that her mistakes make her human, and there is that, but there wasn't just the odd small mistake. And when she jumped between hating and loving Oliver in the same episode I just couldn't root for someone who is so flighty in her emotions. A man cheats on you with your sister and that is it. It's over. Going back to him made her look foolish to me and I could never see past that. And I'm trying to reserve judgment for s3 because I do want her character to change for the better because she isn't going anywhere but using other characters like Felicity and Sara to support her while she becomes more likeable is not helping my issues.
  16. I understand all of the other characters questions about their identities apart from Laurel's. Why would she want to be her sister, who is not only younger than her but who has suffered a huge amount and kills people? I don't understand the logic. It's actually really pathetic that this grown woman is probably jealous of what her sister has/is. They are really not making this BC transition palatable for me. FML.
  17. I don't know how I feel about that spoiler about Laurel/Felicity friendship. On one hand I like that there won't be any awkwardness about Oliver but at the same time it feels a bit forced, esp when Laurel has barely acknowledged Felicity's presence in previous episodes. I knew they'd use Felicity to prop Laurel's character but let's not go too far, esp not in these early episodes. If they had this kind of friendship mid to late s3 I could understand but not yet. It's way too soon.
  18. Yes, I thought this. There was no need for him to kill the Count. He easily could have just shot him in the arm or even distracted him with an arrow to the leg which would have disarmed him long enough for Felicity to get away. The fact that he killed him just spoke volumes about how he feels about Felicity and what she incites within him. Also, totally agree about the Time of Death episode. Partly because I think Oliver would have had more reaction to her getting shot, like you said, and partly because I don't believe Felicity would feel insecure about her place on the team. She's always been so certain about her abilities that it just rang false to me.
  19. I actually thought Oliver was pretty rude raising his voice to Felicity when she was trying to reassure him that it wasn't his fault. I was like 'find your chill, Oliver.'
  20. Really? I didn't know that episodes 11-14 were Laurel's story 'arc'. That is so weird! I never would have guessed that. Obviously Thea won't be around for a couple of episodes but I see that as necessary for their arc. As for Laurel, I have no idea. I think her knowing Oliver's secret and trying to find out more about Team Arrow and her story with Wildcat does mean she'll be on screen more than she was last year which just garners a giant MEH from me so let's hope it plays out like episodes 11-14 then!
  21. I thought I read somewhere that the Count 2.0 was a possible returning character…? Also, I don't see them benching Laurel or Thea because the EP's were adamant that they'd been team players the last two seasons and now it was their time to shine or whatever they said. It sounded like they're in for big storylines.
  22. lol I have no idea. I'm just thinking of ways where Laurel and Sara could have scenes where it's not talking about sharing Oliver's dick. I agree, they need to make Laurel stand on her own but I can see them using popular characters to help that along because they already have a long process ahead of them in that regard. lol I forgot about that. I tend to blank on scenes with Laurel. Yikes!
  23. They could have Sara introducing Sin to Laurel. It might give them a chance to make Laurel more likeable maybe.
  24. Oh yeah, of course! And I forgot to add in Felicity's backstory and meeting her mother too! The list is growing!
  25. Yeah, me too. I think s3 is gonna be tough to watch sometimes. I don't really want Felicity to have a LI but I see why they're doing it that way. It's stalling for now, at least I hope it is!
