Hated this episode. One of my pet peeves in watching a show is time jumps. You get completely invested in the present moment and then all of a sudden the show goes somewhere completely else and you sit there and have to wait another week to resume the present situation. I am not invested in future or past Barry, only present. This suggests that they are running out of ideas and they are just filling in until the end. Really disappointing.

The 3 children seem really smart, but each lack the ability to communicate in an effective manner. They cannot seem to just tell it like it is and be honest. Tom seemed to finally force Shiv to tell the truth and come clean on what she is really thinking. There are so many layers to the communication on this show, it is like watching this show in the clouds and then once in awhile the clouds open and someone says something real and truthful. I always watch this show and look at all the adults in the room, and these 3 are always the ones acting and communicating like kids. So smart, yet having almost no skill at negotiating and building relationships.

I notice they seem to blur real with fiction on this show. If real, that was nasty.

I think the end game is it all goes back to the starting point when Keeley comes back to work as PR for Richmond. Ted goes back home with Beard, Roy is the new Richmond Manger with Nate as his assistant. YAWN!!!

sad for all the fans. It looks like the hammer is coming down now on all the shows.

But Georgie agrees at the last minute even though he is at work and still gets no appreciation from Mandy. She even gives him heck for the baby smelling like smoke. Duh, he works in a casino (ish). She berates the guy every chance she gets and does not seem to appreciate anything he does for her. Makes it hard to watch. As the brilliant Ron Swanson says, "When you have a fish on the line, you don't just drag it behind the boat. You either reel it in, or you cut him loose. Especially if he's a nice fish with a big lovable fish heart." Mandy needs to cut this nice fish loose.

Trying to figure out why they continue to treat Georgie like crap on this show. He is probably the best character but every chance they get they kick this poor guy. I am still hoping they will make Mandy a bit less miserable and have her treat Georgie a bit better. She is really an unlikeable character. They don't seem to know what to do with Sheldon anymore.

I am just not enjoying this season. They took a great idea for a comedy show and turned it into a soap opera. There is no focus anymore on the team and playing football but the focus is now on the team's relationships and the relationships of the leaders. Ted has suddenly been sleepwalking through the season in a funk but rarely have we seen him helping the team and players and coaching. The team's games were the focus in the first 2 seasons and now they are background news. Main characters such as Roy, Rebecca, Ted and Beard have basically no storyline and nothing to do. They refuse to show any of them spending much time doing their jobs so there are very few storylines coming from the workplace. We have not seen any PR coming out of Keeley's work except the woman she fired and that was amateurish. Their only storylines are based out of relationships and the drama from them. Nate, a secondary character from the past 2 seasons now has his own storyline. Why? Why take time away from Ted's story to show us stories from the villian of the show? I don't get it. They turned Nate into a terrible heel and now expect us to watch his story? One of the dumbest character turns and writing I have seen in a long time.

This is my problem this season. Nate has his own story now and I can't figure out why? He is not connected to Richmond, Ted or anyone else. He was a minor character for 2 seasons and somehow he now has his own storyline. Even if his character wasn't a POS I still wouldn't care about his story. With Keeley, same problem. No interaction with the main storyline except bud scenes with Rebecca. Unlike Nate, I like her, but her scenes are boring and just show her in a rom-com relationship with Jack. If they gave her a storyline connected to her job, I would appreciate it.

I really enjoyed this episode. Fun, focused Ted is back. Couple of points. What are they doing with Keeley? Maybe show her working for 5 minutes so I can see if she is competent in whatever job she does. I am really bummed that this is the best they can come up with for Keeley as plots go. Just a rom com type relationship. I just can't believe they can't tie her into the team plot going on. Also, I am done with Barbara's veiled hatred and passive agressiveness towards Keeley. She can go 7 episodes ago. They can have Nate save 10 puppies from a fire and I am still not going to watch another minute of him. I was done with him when he abused the kit boy and that will not change. More Beard and Roy. In fact, just spin these two off and I will be happy.
