  1. Literally everytime people on this show come on while both having pets, they worry about whether or not the pets will get along. It doesn't mean anything. It's a regular worry. That was a bad meeting situation with in general. Too much a closed placed with strangers, camera crew, etc. It was a set up for disaster. I still maintain i could so without people coming on here with pets. I just don't need it and there is already enough for them to worry about. But, since so much of the population feels the need to have them, it won't happen.
  2. They literally already talked about it. On their own. And it's the things they need to talk about. Having/not having kids and when are non negotiable for most people. They have to address it at some point. Why later when more feelings are involved? Making it potentially tougher to deal with. They are in the real world now. The honeymoon is over. Time to talk about the real stuff.
  3. That was hyperbole but the price of water athe venue goes through its own healthy bit of inflation that actually is outrageous.
  4. I feel like this all just saying the samed things but wording it differently. Theses girls felt genuine and realistic as kids. They also managed to get the sense of wonder aspect of the 80s. They created authentic feeling characters. That's all that is really important.
  5. In regards to Miguel, none of those make dating or finding your match any easier. Being a catch doesn't mean anything if you keep catching people not worth your time. He's been cheated on as well. For the sake of the show, people that have it together and are a viable dating option should be what we get instead of just a bunch of unattractive people with baggage.
  6. My point about that 70s show was that part of the reason why the show worked was because the characters could fit in at anytime. It's not about whether or not they were authentic. Them not being walking, talking stereotypes of the 70s at every turn allowed the viewers to just enjoy them as they were. The Paper Girls, the leads at that core, could work in any time-frame. Their dialogue, emotions, banter etc aren't overly stylized. They aren't forcing 80s stereotypes onto them. It makes them feel more genuine. That's what I'm talking about. They feel more like regular kids. They didn't stick out like sore thumbs in different eras. I just think that's the best way to go about projects like this. If you tried too hard to force looks and dialogue on then, it takes you out of it a bit. These kids feel more authentic because in general they felt like real kids regardless of the era imo.
  7. You know, I've seen people try to dub this show as Female Stranger Things but this more Yellowjackets to me. Time Jumping although this is more literal, different time periods, female centric, etc. Not a bad thing. It's just an observation. I didn't read the books but I was hoping for one show about teens without one of them questioning their sexuality. It's not bad in itself. Representation is good. But, it's EVERY show with teens now. It's getting really predictable.
  8. Eh. I don't really agree with that. I think kids in 80s movie were authentic to their time. I've always thought that the key to writing a character from a certain time period (especially 80s and 90s) is to not write human machines that spout catchphrases and dress like they are drenched in their time period. Just write characters with a little sprinkle of the time period. It makes everything feel less movie-like, fake and pandering. You look at that 70s show and you see characters that could have existed in the 2000s minus some clothing and references. They didn't lean on the 70s too much. When they tried to make that 80s show, everyone was a walking stereotype. They were screaming 80s instead of just writing characters.
  9. Their goal is to hopefully get another big new show by allowing MAFS to be the lead in. They just fail at that every time. 5 guys a week isn't always like that with the kissing 5 guys. There is barely any hooking up on the show. It's not terrible and obviously cheap to film. They film in the woman's home every week instead of a neutral setting. I don't know why they didn't just leave mafs australia on Thursdays and finish it out. It doesn't cost them anything. I watched. I thought it was a good ep but no tea is being spilled and that's what made this a must watch. Just a heads up that they will be having guests on again this season to be prepared. Those that don't like it anyway.
  10. He was not gleeful about not being attracted to his wife nor did he demand anything from her. None of these things were done or said. She had every right to turn down his advances. That's what it was. The move wasn't even necessarily unwanted. It was because of his words earlier that day but she wasn't mad that he made a move. She just couldn't move forward because of it. But, every season, we have people using words that do not fit the situation and could make someone else look absolutely terrible. No, we were not there. But, every other description of the night has been a drunken pass turned down. The word pounce can sound like she was mauled or attacked. It's a strong word. It's something you have to mindful of even if it seems harmless. You saying that he demanded sex when no said that is another version of a strong word that is not accurate to the situation and makes the person look way worse. It happened last year when Jasmina kept calling his argument tone as aggressive and he all the way backed off for a month of this show while they weren't filming because of it.
  11. His body. Whether or not you find that type attractive, he has a rockin body.
  12. Man, I tune in every week but I just don't give a damn about this show. I'm a big challenge fan. I know at least some of these people. But, the energy feels lackluster and the participants are largely uninteresting.
  13. No, I think we have another Olajuwon where someone is fully established and secure financially and they want to keep it that way. I honestly think Morgan lied a bunch on her application to get put on and this is just a tip of the iceberg. Stacia and Justin were both projecting their previous baggage onto other spouses. They said as much. It also doesn't mean they are wrong. It just explains why they are overly invested.
  14. This was honestly one of the best MAFS episodes I can recall. People expressing their feelings like adults. The issues feel genuine. People are being called out instead of tiptoeing around issues. It just felt very organic with little filler. Justin may have been a bit over the top but I truly don't know why Morgan in here. I don't think she has the time or the patience for a marriage right now. I don't like it when I feel like people are doing this show to just slot a person into their single live instead of actually creating a new life together with someone.
  15. No, is probably doing that on purpose because Lays doesn't pay for ads. It's the same reason why logos are often covered on shirts with tape.
  16. Even if it was hyped up for drama that image of the bacteria growing in the water people drank and bathed in is the stuff of nightmares.
  17. Agree to disagree on everything then. Have a good one 👍🏾.
  18. I would call it just as improbable if it was all dudes there, or all of the remaining og avengers to have jumped down. Mantis was useless in that moment no matter what is said and she didn't do anything either. And my overall point was that every single female member wouldn't have ended up there even if it was just because of varied fighting levels. Its not a complaint. Its an observation. No matter how you feel about it, lack of subtlety will take certain people out of moment. Most people don't like being hit with a sledgehammer. You don't have to be an a-hole to not enjoy that. I took it for what it was. A fun moment in a scene filled with designed fist pumping moments. Nothing wrong with it. I also don't have a problem with the notion that it could have been handled a little more deftly. Some people also don't want to feel pandered to or like a checklist is getting marked off. People keep complaining about the roles of women in the mcu! Here ya go! Some people will feel that way. There are reasons to love the moment and hate it. I understand both sides. I just agree to disagree with all complaints abouts Caps ending. I was glad he finally got his dance. I was glad he created his own happiness. That's about as much thought as I put in it. It's just not that serious to me. Miles will vary.
  19. A lot of the best movies end with speculation. It's not a bad thing. Not everything should be wrapped up in a pretty little bow. I also think they left Steve's ending as vague because they didn't wanted to kill off three og avengers in the same movie. They didn't want to end three stories with sacrifices. But, they still needed Cap to not be a factor going forward. So, they gave him HIS happy ending. I'm fine with that. I still don't feel the need to complain about the all female scene in Endgame except for the fact that I think they shouldn't have crammed every major female in there. Mantis can't really fight. Stage a few of them elsewhere. It's the improbability of all of them happening to be there that hurts it. It's a moment that makes a lot of people happy. I'm not mad at that. I just think it could have been handled more subtly.

I'm sure you know what I meant. It's been corrected.

    Prey (2022)

Yep. Moving on. This is high up there with the best straight to streaming movies I've seen. Probably could of done well on the big screen.

    Prey (2022)

What exactly is debatable? I'm not talking about for every story. When you start with a simple premise and then you keep pounding on lore, you end up losing what it made it special every time. Predator was a slasher movie disguised as a action movie. Brilliant set up. Simple. Fast forward through inter species war, team ups and nonsense the franchise gained nothing but lost a lot. In particular, every horror movie franchise begins to stumble as they just keep stretching out the story and the lore. It happens every time. It's not to say that there is no enjoyment to be had. It just often because something different and less entertaining. Even when franchises survive this like Child's Play, they have to go "back to basics" just like predator had to do. They always have to do that. So, why stray so far away in the first place is all I'm saying. You don't have to do the same exact thing every time but be careful to not lose the elements that drew people in.

    Prey (2022)

Man, this doesn't have to go back and forth. I wanted this movie to feature a hunter out on a hunt. Drop the lore. No teaming with humans. Nothing to make them sympathetic. They are just looking for a good battle. I'm happy this movie gave me that. The hunter needs a challenge. You need to be a threat. Thats basically their rule. I like that. It's like with most things with simple concepts. As you keep opening up, it loses what made it magical. Michael Myers loses his mystique once he stops being a faceless boogeyman and you give him a mission to kill his bloodline and all that jazz. Just keep it simple.

    Prey (2022)

My point was that I'm happy they DIDN’T do anything to humanize them. In Predator 2 they made them noble hunters instead of assholes that set off bombs after they have lost. The hunter is a real asshole in part 1. He negates the not killing thr unarmed when he killed Pancho while he was being carried away and injured. Used Billy's laugh to mock Dutch etc. Although, it seems through part 1 and with Prey, they seem to be cool with killing the injured if they have already engaged with them whether they are still a threat or not. It becomes almost a buddy cop movie in a vs p. They take the freddy vs jason method of making one of them the defacto protagonist. In predators there is a war between the tribes within the hunters making the ones we knew already the lower class. The Predator, they do the same thing. I just wanted them to be savage hunters again and they were so i was happy.

    Prey (2022)

It actually makes sense for there to be a sequel since she still has the gun not the predators to give to Glover. Obviously there has been more confrontation. They were also bound to return anyway. They always come to retrieve the hunter even if they are dead. I rolled my eyes at the now worn out trope of a woman having to prove herself to a bunch of guys but there is no forced gender narrative beyond a few choice lines. And her brother always believed in her which was great. I hate having dogs in movies at this point. I can practically here people screaming about the dog better not be dying here while actual human beings are being slaughtered. I don't value animals over human beings is all. I appreciate for once since the original, not trying to humanize the predator in any way. They are, or part of their race, are constantly shaped into being good guys while doing heinous shit. It never tracks with predator 1 where it is a vindictive dickhead and not honorable. Even if it was an outlier they are still dick heads and killers. I was distracted by how much the lead here looked like the actress who is the lead in the reboot of Roswell. Turns out, they play sisters on the show. Perfect casting. Daniel Trachtenberg has the goods. He's a really good director. I had no problems with the cgi animals. I'm tired of complaining about cgi at this point. Its never going to look real in motion. Even the best stuff. I don't care. Hulk looks phenomenal on screen in the Marvel movies. Not once do I think to myself it looks like a real creature. Slow start but really good movie. This is what predator movies should have been after part 2. Different locals, time periods etc. Just trying to do predator 1 or predators in the city over and over again won't work and is played out.
