  1. I don't think most people here have a problem with Lindy beyond her talking to much and being in her head too much. It's not dislike, just observations. I don't totally agree with that. She failed once and I think she desperately wants this work. I also feel like her I'm the captain now stuff was mostly bluster. I'm going to start calling Bihn Bihn Bot because he really does feel like a robot that doesn't understand or have emotions. He feels programmed and not real. The pay discrepancy is interesting. Women who are highly successful will possibly have a hard time on two fronts. Trying to find someone "on your level" financially limits your dating pool. Also, even if you dont care about that, you have to find a man who doesn't care. So, it makes sense that you would see highly successful women on this show. Women who have it all except for romantically.
  2. Probably true but as presented, he hasn't had a list. So, putting that on him is incorrect.
  3. Nate, Justin and Miguel do not have a laundry list of requirements. Justin doesn't have any, I'm sure Miguel would just like Lindy to be quiet once and while and Nate just wanted a woman he was attracted to that was driven. Mitch doesn't have a list really. He doesn't know what the hell he wants. It's just not Krysten. Bihn is the only one with a list.
  4. No put down here. It was just mentioned a lot early on. It basically all we know about her from a personal standpoint. Why does Justin even have that big dog and a cat in that little ass apartment? Isn't it cramped enough?
  5. I don't care about how the information came about Cap. The avengers were actual friends and spent time together we didn't see. Also, let's be really. Tony could of gotten the info out of him easily by needling him and prodding him with questions until Cap broke. Talking about losing your virginity isn't locker room talk. It's not out of the realm of possibility for Cap. He just wouldn't of done it casually.
  6. I have to admit I rolled my eyes on the as a woman stuff. Its not that it's not a reality for a lot of women. The dialogue was just too on the nose. The "I'm a woman, I'm used to keeping down my emotions" was enough. Other than that, good introduction. I don't need these shows to blow me away. I just want to be entertained and I was.
  7. I shouldn’t take enjoyment in it and don't in terms of the circumstances but I kind of love the fall of Justin and Alexis just because they were so insufferable with their "We are so in love and nothing can bring us down" crap. I mean be happy things are working out but tone it down.
  8. I'm not saying you are wrong but AT THAT MOMENT, it probably was his biggest worry. Alexis is clearly a huge "my dog is my child" type of person so the worry that everything goes well with the pets meeting would be huge. I need Justin to stop fucking crying every week. It's OK for men to cry. I'm not judging that but come on man. I just need a week. We finally lost the dick talk.
  9. Why in the world does it matter who makes more? It only matters to the individuals. In this day in age I never understand the fixation on how much a man makes. I say that because no one ever really cares how much a woman makes. In this age of strong, independent, hard working women that don't need a man for anything, him not making more money than you shouldn't matter. It only matters if the man or the woman can't handle dynamic. If everyone involved are cool with that dynamic, no one was done dirty. No woman this season has complained about what their husband makes or the income discrepancy so they must not of cared. I've also realized over time that how much someone makes, for the average person, matters far less than how they spend it
  10. All I'm saying is that the comment in itself means nothing. Him just saying it wasn't a red flag. But, this just happened to be more than typical pets meeting anxiety. Hopefully, the dog got the training it needed and they can mend this. I'm not nor will ever a pet person but this was just shitty for all involved.
  11. Literally everytime people on this show come on while both having pets, they worry about whether or not the pets will get along. It doesn't mean anything. It's a regular worry. That was a bad meeting situation with in general. Too much a closed placed with strangers, camera crew, etc. It was a set up for disaster. I still maintain i could so without people coming on here with pets. I just don't need it and there is already enough for them to worry about. But, since so much of the population feels the need to have them, it won't happen.
  12. They literally already talked about it. On their own. And it's the things they need to talk about. Having/not having kids and when are non negotiable for most people. They have to address it at some point. Why later when more feelings are involved? Making it potentially tougher to deal with. They are in the real world now. The honeymoon is over. Time to talk about the real stuff.
  13. That was hyperbole but the price of water athe venue goes through its own healthy bit of inflation that actually is outrageous.
  14. I feel like this all just saying the samed things but wording it differently. Theses girls felt genuine and realistic as kids. They also managed to get the sense of wonder aspect of the 80s. They created authentic feeling characters. That's all that is really important.
  15. In regards to Miguel, none of those make dating or finding your match any easier. Being a catch doesn't mean anything if you keep catching people not worth your time. He's been cheated on as well. For the sake of the show, people that have it together and are a viable dating option should be what we get instead of just a bunch of unattractive people with baggage.
  16. My point about that 70s show was that part of the reason why the show worked was because the characters could fit in at anytime. It's not about whether or not they were authentic. Them not being walking, talking stereotypes of the 70s at every turn allowed the viewers to just enjoy them as they were. The Paper Girls, the leads at that core, could work in any time-frame. Their dialogue, emotions, banter etc aren't overly stylized. They aren't forcing 80s stereotypes onto them. It makes them feel more genuine. That's what I'm talking about. They feel more like regular kids. They didn't stick out like sore thumbs in different eras. I just think that's the best way to go about projects like this. If you tried too hard to force looks and dialogue on then, it takes you out of it a bit. These kids feel more authentic because in general they felt like real kids regardless of the era imo.
  17. You know, I've seen people try to dub this show as Female Stranger Things but this more Yellowjackets to me. Time Jumping although this is more literal, different time periods, female centric, etc. Not a bad thing. It's just an observation. I didn't read the books but I was hoping for one show about teens without one of them questioning their sexuality. It's not bad in itself. Representation is good. But, it's EVERY show with teens now. It's getting really predictable.
  18. Eh. I don't really agree with that. I think kids in 80s movie were authentic to their time. I've always thought that the key to writing a character from a certain time period (especially 80s and 90s) is to not write human machines that spout catchphrases and dress like they are drenched in their time period. Just write characters with a little sprinkle of the time period. It makes everything feel less movie-like, fake and pandering. You look at that 70s show and you see characters that could have existed in the 2000s minus some clothing and references. They didn't lean on the 70s too much. When they tried to make that 80s show, everyone was a walking stereotype. They were screaming 80s instead of just writing characters.
  19. Their goal is to hopefully get another big new show by allowing MAFS to be the lead in. They just fail at that every time. 5 guys a week isn't always like that with the kissing 5 guys. There is barely any hooking up on the show. It's not terrible and obviously cheap to film. They film in the woman's home every week instead of a neutral setting. I don't know why they didn't just leave mafs australia on Thursdays and finish it out. It doesn't cost them anything. I watched. I thought it was a good ep but no tea is being spilled and that's what made this a must watch. Just a heads up that they will be having guests on again this season to be prepared. Those that don't like it anyway.
  20. He was not gleeful about not being attracted to his wife nor did he demand anything from her. None of these things were done or said. She had every right to turn down his advances. That's what it was. The move wasn't even necessarily unwanted. It was because of his words earlier that day but she wasn't mad that he made a move. She just couldn't move forward because of it. But, every season, we have people using words that do not fit the situation and could make someone else look absolutely terrible. No, we were not there. But, every other description of the night has been a drunken pass turned down. The word pounce can sound like she was mauled or attacked. It's a strong word. It's something you have to mindful of even if it seems harmless. You saying that he demanded sex when no said that is another version of a strong word that is not accurate to the situation and makes the person look way worse. It happened last year when Jasmina kept calling his argument tone as aggressive and he all the way backed off for a month of this show while they weren't filming because of it.
  21. His body. Whether or not you find that type attractive, he has a rockin body.
  22. Man, I tune in every week but I just don't give a damn about this show. I'm a big challenge fan. I know at least some of these people. But, the energy feels lackluster and the participants are largely uninteresting.
  23. No, I think we have another Olajuwon where someone is fully established and secure financially and they want to keep it that way. I honestly think Morgan lied a bunch on her application to get put on and this is just a tip of the iceberg. Stacia and Justin were both projecting their previous baggage onto other spouses. They said as much. It also doesn't mean they are wrong. It just explains why they are overly invested.
  24. This was honestly one of the best MAFS episodes I can recall. People expressing their feelings like adults. The issues feel genuine. People are being called out instead of tiptoeing around issues. It just felt very organic with little filler. Justin may have been a bit over the top but I truly don't know why Morgan in here. I don't think she has the time or the patience for a marriage right now. I don't like it when I feel like people are doing this show to just slot a person into their single live instead of actually creating a new life together with someone.
  25. No, is probably doing that on purpose because Lays doesn't pay for ads. It's the same reason why logos are often covered on shirts with tape.
