  1. Well, she won a star. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Or two, in this case. Rachel's seasons were before my time, so I was rooting for Cara Maria. I had to mute the show because the music was going to ruin it for me, but then they did slo-mo when CM did her last throw and that gave it away. I get that Brandon has to get CM out in order for himself to win, but did he really expect her not to get upset for being blindsided?
  2. There were two hammers, one yellow and one blue. They were tied to the same rope, so I guess TPTB were hoping that the contestants would pull the rope at the same time, but Big T was so much faster that she had no trouble pulling the hammer to herself.
  3. I stopped watching a few weeks before the finale. Would anyone be willing to give me a short recap of what happened in the end? Did anyone stay together? What did Cam do?
  4. I watched the season that Martha and Michael were on, but I don't remember anything about it. I liked Martha on Celebrity Apprentice, though. (Episode 19) Goddammit with this show. I keep oscillating between loving the drama and hating myself for watching this exploitative shitfest. And I should probably stop watching before I take a flight to Australia and start stalking Jesse. Evelyn and Rupert have to be actors, right? They're way too normal and take everything with such ease and humor. I was actually relieved by what Evelyn said to Sandy. I was fearing it could be much worse, like something really offensive about Sandy. I skipped almost everything else. I have a life other shows to watch and this show is on like 20 hours a week.
  5. I disagree. Those two not only betrayed their partners, but they also gaslit Jesse and made him think he was the problem. He was forced to grovel in front of everyone and admit he had "jealousy issues". Jesse and Janelle deserved to know the truth. I like Evelyn. Crazy Cat Hating Lady, not so much.
  6. I laughed so much when Rupert couldn't get a word out of his mouth. Fortunately his new wife wasn't rude about it (just funny!). "I Hate Cats!" bride should go to therapy for her control issues. My heart breaks for Jesse. He has such an innocent, boyish quality to him (and he's gorgeous). Whoever did the music for the show seems to think they're a symphony composer from the 1800s.
  7. I see six episodes there now. I get my episodes elsewhere, but it looks like they're out on both sites at about the same time. I don't know what the spoiler policy is in this thread, so I'll put my comments in a spoiler box. I've watched episodes 1-6.
  8. I've been fast-forwarding most of the footage, especially the pre-wedding and wedding scenes, because they're just boring to me. But now I remember why I love this show: next episode (06) is the dinner party! This show is so trashy and I'm here for it.
  9. Could someone explain to me what Cirie's plan was? She said 1) she doesn't want to take anything away from anyone else, but that 2) she doesn't want someone else to take the money who hasn't earned it and 3) it sucks that she has to be the one to bring this up. Why would a faithful say that? When she said the middle part you couldn't see her face and it almost sounded like it could've been dubbed in later. I don't know, the whole thing is just weird. Obiously Arie had to keep his mouth shut 'cause he was bowing out of the competition, but what if he hadn't quit, what would've Cirie said? That Arie is a traitor? And then Arie would say, no you're the traitor? I don't get it.
  10. Glove-gate: Probably all of them were wearing gloves at some point in the episode, and I think they might've even had different kind of gloves for different tasks. Tyson was wearing gloves in the shoveling challenge, and I have no idea why he was freezing his fingers off in the sudoku challenge. I'm pretty good with cold weather, but my fingers are not and I'm not sure I'd want to risk possibly permanent damage for 20K. (My fingers are cold while I'm typing this.) Angela-gate: I didn't think she'd be disqualified because I kind of understood her reasoning. When there were two people, one of them could sleep all night, right? Because the rule said that "one of you may rest while your partner works". But was Angela not allowed to sleep at all before finishing the dirt pile? What if she had said that she was going to take a nap, but had accidentally slept through the night? ;) From the timestamps it seemed that she quit, err, I mean started napping after 15-20 minutes. Drowning-gate: I'm no fan of Enzo's, but he was in a serious panic. To me that situation showed how you should not get close to someone who thinks they're drowning, unless you really know what you're doing. If they hadn't had lifejackets it could've been dangerous for both of them had Desi tried to help him. I got caught up in the moment and thought it was quite touching how Sarah kept going even tho she thought she had come last. Damn you, show.
  11. I rewatched the preview from last week. When they show Jesse saying "There has been a situation with Logan", his watch is on his right arm, so the video is flipped. They then show Gabby wiping her tears (and by flipping the video they tried to make it look like Jesse was talking to Gabby), but it's likely from the scene where she was crying after dumping Nate. Then they show Jesse and Logan outside, and they go, J: "She was in tears", L: "I feel awful", J: "You gotta back your bags". I did think that Gabby's reactions were weird when Jesse came into her room to inform her about Logan, but at the time I thought that maybe she was numb because she was prepared to hear that another guy had dumped her.
  12. Finnish person here *smiles nervously*. When I was watching their first episode, I was commenting to my non-Finnish friend that this is going to be fun, because the sisters are acting so Finnish: reserved and not into small talk. I think both of them could also be nervous about the filming, and even though many Finns speak good English, we're shy about using it. So they're not rude or bored, they're just Finnish. ๐Ÿ˜ Wait, that was too big of a smile. ๐Ÿ™‚
  13. There is a disclaimer at the end of the US show: "While the investigative techniques shown in Hunted are real, some procedures have been replicated for broadcast." The disclaimer for the UK version says that CCTV and ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) are among the replicated "powers of the state". I believe that pretty much all information the hunters have is given to them by the producers. I don't believe they could get any real CCTV footage, ATM use info, or anyone's phone records, even if the phone owners had given permission. I'll still keep watching the US version but the UK version is so amateurish looking (shaky camera etc.) that maybe I'll just check if anyone got away in the end.
  14. I agree. I wasn't paying much attention to the episode, and maybe I was influenced by having read some of the comments here before watching it, but I noticed how Nev (& Max? I didn't look who was talking) made comments about the friend knowing the situation even better than the sister, and so on. Obviously the producers told the guys to make sure to insert the friend into the story. The whole "50-y-o pervert stock photo guy" scene felt weird and contrived to me. The guys saying that this pervert was talking to "this 21-y-o girl"... OK, an older man pretending to be a young guy is maybe creepy, but Tiana is an adult, even though she seemed more like 14 because she was that stupid. Also, most viewers don't know that the pictures they show are stock photos/actors, so I'm sure many viewers, just like posters here, were left to wonder why the show would insult someone who had nothing to do with it.
