Based on their social media accounts, it's looking like this couple may split.

Jessa's baby is at least 6 months old when this was taken. Ivy is currently 7 months. I think Jessa looks nice.

She's modeling one of the dresses right now, but she may be busy with school. Also I don't think Michael is plus-size.

Abbie is now about 2 weeks from her due date and could have the baby at any time now. There's a registry which says she's due the 13th of January and today (12/30) would be two weeks before the 13th. Since it's a girl, people are predicting Amelia after Amelia Earheart and JD being a pilot. (You may not know it, but JD is a pilot.) Abbie's middle name is Grace so Amelia Grace. Another guess is Amelia Ruth, since Abbie drew inspiration for her wedding vows from the book of Ruth. I kinda hope they go with name that's a little less predictable. I was thinking something like Adalie but that may be too close to Addison. On the other hand, Amelia Earhart was a bold, strong, independent, and progressive woman and hopefully a namesake of hers will grow up to be like her.

She still visits her family, but she doesn't tour with them. Chelsy and John could if they wanted to, because the Maxwells also use to tour musically along time ago. John owns his own home "debt-free" like all of the Maxwells within a mile of Steve's house. Chelsy reminds me of fundies I know personally, because she drives long road trips as quickly as possible to see family. She talks about this on her blog: Chelsy Renee The Maxwells did their own blog post today. It celebrates Chelsy's and John's second wedding anniversary and the announcement of their second child. Chelsy had announced the pregnancy on her blog the day before. Chelsy is wearing jeans and a longer tunic on her blog. The Maxwells only posted pictures of them from the waist up.

They found new models including somebody to model plus size dresses other than Kelly. Also a young woman with a dark bob haircut.

As far as I remember, the incidents happened over years and they did nothing in the beginning. Then someone (?) called the cops and reported the abuse at which point the police report (the one In Touch found) was filed. At that point they had to do something or face further investigation, etc. So they sent Josh away and tried to make it look like they were doing something. They tried to downplay it to save their reputations and minimized the abuse. If it hadn't been reported to the police, they might have continued to ignore it.

An announcement from Chelsy Bontrager Maxwell and John Maxwell. Their second child is due in June. Their first baby was born January 2019, so these kids will be about 16/17 months apart. Her "sis in love" Sarah Maxwell took the pictures. Chelsy is the oldest Bontrager child and she will be 29 in a month. She's married to John Maxwell, one of the reversals, who will also be 29 next month. Both the Maxwells and the Bontragers are good friends of the Duggars. The Bontragers have 4 grandchildren and two on the way. Their son Joshua Bontrager and his wife Cassidy are expecting their second child sometime late spring. The Maxwells have 15 14 grandchildren with 3 more on the way. Elissa and Joseph Maxwell are expecting their third at the end of January. If her daughter was older, I might agree with you. Since the kid is less than 2 months old, Lauren's behavior seems appropriate. Kendra's child is only 8 days older than Bella and she's already passing her off for other people to take care of.

Josie also made a comment on Lauren's copying her. Actually I think Josie is less mature for commenting on it than Lauren is for copying her. Josie also revealed recently they thought they would wait a year to have a baby (like Jinger D Vuolo). It's unclear if they were actually prepared to do anything to prevent pregnancy. I've heard similar stories from fundie Catholics. (People who were doing nothing to prevent pregnancy and still thought they would have at least a year before getting pregnant.)

You know for all the snark on Lauren, she's actually holding her daughter. Kendra has two kids and isn't paying too much attention to either of them.

I always thought that JB and Michelle protected Josh to protect themselves. They were the perfect parents, with a huge family which showed Jesus loved them. Their egos and reputations were on the line. Plus if they were blanket training, it might have come out and that might be counted as physical abuse by the parents. Thanks Lascuba! Hospitals don't want random volunteers off the street. Someone I know volunteers at a hospital. It took longer than 2 weeks just to get accepted into the volunteer program. All the volunteers at that hospital have to go through the program. The hospital runs background checks on volunteers to make sure people who might have access to records, patients, etc. are reasonably safe, responsible people to be around. Also most hospitals have an age requirement. The older children could volunteer a local hospital now. It might give them too much access to real world though.

Gwyneth Paltrow is not fundie and wouldn't have influence on Jill. But fundies have always glorified natural childbirth for decades now. A lot of fundies mistrust modern medicine and can't afford insurance. The Maxwell daughters-in-law have all had homebirths except Melanie (who's had complications). Kelly Bates had homebirths until a dramatic one where she was rushed to the hospital. Those are just a few examples.

I honestly think Jeremiah just happened to pull Derick's name out of a hat. I don't think JB was punishing Jill by not assigning James to Derick. I think it's just luck of the draw. I also don't James is necessarily courting Lauren C. I could be wrong, but right now the speculation seems far-fetched. 🙄 I can't believe we're rehashing why Derick and Jill left the show again. I do think Derick is telling the truth about the money and most of the kids still look to daddy headship to tell them what to do. They blindly follow orders and have been blanket-trained out of complaining. Austin also complained about the money, but now JB gifted him a house with his and Joy's names on the deed. JB is as crooked as a stick in water. I think part of why the kids sign their money over to him is that he puts into some sort of tax shelter. (There are tax shelters in the US as well as in the Caymans and Switzerland.) As mentioned JB recently gifted Joy a house. But yes the lack of medical care does suggest that JB either is giving them the money for health insurance or paying for insurance/medical care himself. JB is a millionaire and a good Christian and for many of them, he's their employer. Yet somehow his daughters have trouble paying for c-sections, NICU time, etc. I think Derick will botch this, but this is only the first time the Duggars start fighting about money. It won't be the last.

Also it was seen as sacrilegious by many Christians. In non-Hispanic cultures, it's seen almost as naming your kid God. Kind of blasphemous. They were very invested in finding Josiah a wife for a long time.

Austin was probably already promised to Joy. Maybe Kendra was promised a Duggar boy too.

But it also means the next 1100 grandkids after that.

They have 16 living grandchildren--- 6 from Josh (MacKynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith, Mason, Maryella), 2 from Jill (Israel and Samuel), 3 from Jessa (Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy), 1 from Jinger (Felicity), 2 from Joe (Garrett and Addison), 1 from Josiah (Bella) and 1 from Joy (Gideon). Add all that together and you get 16. (No losses were counted. Nor #17 coming very soon from JD.)
