The Lonely Js Club: Jana, Jason, James, Jackson & Johannah

Maybe their closeness to Mary shaped their personalities in the same way. -
The Lonely Js Club: Jana, Jason, James, Jackson & Johannah

I generally have a favorable opinion of Jana, but she is mostly responsible for the mess she's in. If she agreed to watch a child and that child was in danger, then that's on her. Yes, she's been stuck being the babysitter probably forever, but she agreed to watch the child. If harm had actually happened to the child, then she, Jana, would be responsible. It sounds like the kid was fine; just in a dangerous situation. I have some sympathy for Jana myself, but the charges are real and probably deserved. There is a limit to how much sympathy I can have for Jana in this situation. -
JB has the money to try to buy the community. In fact, some people compare his habit of buying property in NWA to the $cientology's buying up property in LA and Clearwater Florida. Michelle was awarded MOTY a long time ago; when people were less acquainted with the Duggars. Since then they have more money, fame, and power. They're annoying in the same way the Kardashians are plus preachy judgmental religious crap.

The Lonely Js Club: Jana, Jason, James, Jackson & Johannah

I agree. I think Amy hangs out with the Duggars, because of Mary when she was alive. Both her mother and her grandmother liked to hang out with the family, particularly Mary. She doesn't have as strong a family identity without them. Who knows why Amy is mad at Jana? It could there more inter-cousins fights we don't about. Jana seems to be very fundie, maybe she's looked down on Amy and her upbringing. Maybe Jana is defending Josh? Who Knows? Yes, Jana is a victim of a cult, but she is also at this point responsible for some of her own actions. Maybe she upholds the cult too much. Being in a cult affects everyone including those cult adjacent like Amy. -
@Porkchop Sorry for your losses. I'm hanging in there, but these weeks are stressful. I hope everyone is okay.

There is no official record about who the child was. There is only speculation. -

WOACB is the only reporting the identity of the child and she is not an honest and reliable source. I don't know if which child it is and I'm not going to identify the child until we have confirmation. It may have Anna's 2 year old and it may have been a different child. Jessa, Joy, John David, and Anna have all dropped kids off at the TTH. Maybe Kendra or Lauren too? Jill hasn't done so in years. But it could be any number of kids. I think if it was an M kid, Jana would know she was babysitting. -
Actually Josie seems mentally fine from what we've seen. She actually was more advanced in terms of speech than her sister Jordyn, probably the result of more attention. She might have some mild learning disabilities, but no severe delays from what we've seen. All of their kids are probably behind grade-level as a result of half-assed homeschooling. Josie also is the youngest of a large family and sometimes large families baby the baby. This was true of several large families I've known. Being in a school would have probably have given more maturity as well.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Temperance replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
The prosecution included it to establish motive, after the defense said he had none. If they need it to establish their case, then I hope it's included. The victims never had control of the narrative so this isn't changing anything. Maybe if he's convicted, it will be small karmic justice. In any case, I hope he's convicted and if this evidence is needed, then it better be included! -
Chelsy Bontrager Maxwell and her husband John took their very small children to Branson, Missouri to see a concert. Here is her blog post. On the minus side, I doubt Chelsy is vaccinated and her kids are too young. Stay home during the Pandemic. On the plus side, it seems the concert may have included secular music. Also Chelsy ran into her sister-in-law Sarah, who looks happy. She moved out earlier this year and seems to enjoy living on her own.

These people are terrible parents for sure. I'm so angry at Michelle and JB right now. Narcissistic parents who don't care for their kids.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

I actually thought they acknowledged the abuse went on for years. I'm surprised this is new information. I'm also surprised and yet not surprised that JB is an asshole. Boy, he thinks he is God's chosen man. I think he is lying to protect his own reputation. @Churchhoney I agree with you about JB and his daughters. Bobye Holt also said on facebook something like we're fundies, but not fundies are like the Duggars. 🙄 Sure, Honey. This was on some public group recently. I'd bet money Bobye's father was named Robert. -
Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Lauren doesn't look pregnant to me. If she is, she's not too far along. Katey Duggar (OfJed!) was also a bridesmaid. Katey is due April and you can tell she's pregnant. Also Suze Keller was a bridesmaid. -
Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Josh was allegedly at the wedding on Friday which seems to violate his parole. It's doubtful the prosecution knows, and I don't think anything will come of it. -

She can change her name, and I hope Madyson Lily's future is not dictated by her parents' present. I hope she has marvelous future where she ends up in very different and much better place than her mother. I would change my name if I were her. Or go by Lily. -
So is a Jim Bob going to try to flee the country since he's been called as a witness? He does have access to planes and pilots. And JB is trying to get a new job right now. I hope his prospective employers are paying attention. Beyond that, I have zero sympathy for him and Michelle. They are awful, narcissistic people who only really care about themselves. They are lousy, neglective, abusive parents, and at the end of the day, they only care about themselves. I do have sympathy for many other members of the Duggar family, but not Josh, JB, and Michelle. You'd have to be a fool to pity JB and Michelle.

They were with their church at the baseball game, but I'm not sure what church it was. The baseball game was the local minor league baseball team. called the Arkansas Naturals. Topic: Still three lonely Js? -
Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
I don't think it's dumb, but sad. Poor Joy! She got married and had babies too young. It sounds like she's desperately unhappy. -
A friend of mine is having her gallbladder removed. She's relatively young (mid-thirties) and she had a baby earlier this year.
-
Not really, he's younger than all of them. He's between Jennifer and Jordyn in age and they're only a year and few months apart. I'm not sure the mother chose to give him up. I'm also not sure he's better off at the TTH, then he would be elsewhere. He was living with his grandmother when she had a stroke. His grandmother is Michelle's closest-in-age sister.
