  1. "Or, he couldn't catch it and gave up. I suspect that was a more likely scenario." I have yet to see any contestant actually catch an animal other than a lizard, snake, bugs, or find a bird head. Has anybody seen successful hunting? Also, I'm really unbearably naive about too many things but even I thought the found pot was fishy.
  2. "In regards to the land they live on and how they get power is really just glossed over, because it probably wouldn't be interesting for the audience so they don't include it." It would be a whole hell of a lot more interesting than watching them downsize to the size of a Rubbermaid bin. I don't need to see that process week after week.
  3. This was my favorite house so far, and I love the concept, but I could never do it with children. Even as an adult couple that would still be far too noisy. No divisions to peace. By the way, no need to wrack your brain trying to figure out how to fit a tub in the stall and deciding on a wine barrel. It's quirky and interesting, but as a child in a house with no tub my mom simply bathed us in a round galvanized tub. Old problem solved ages ago.
  4. I think each bedroom had a door. Not too impressed with this one. Plus that couch...OUCH! Horrible. There was a weird vibe between M/W in this one, she being the stern mommy and he the eager child. ugh. Just like in his youth (if I caught his story correctly).
  5. He would improve his appearance 100% if he would get a nice short haircut. He still have a good jawline.
  6. I struggled with infertility and managed with medication to have 1 son, now 18. Though I am beyond grateful for him, and I'm too old now to have more anyway, the pain of infertility apparently is right under the surface. Not long ago I was in the company of a young couple who I can't call friends, but more friendly acquaintances. They are pregnant "again" simply because they wanted to be. It was VERY hard to hold it together in their presence, a reaction that surprised even me. I am saying this because since Christine's last pregnancy was difficult for her and if she is done having children, learning about a new pregnancy may be too hard for her to deal with. True, if Meri or Janelle then maybe not so hard, but the youngest wife having another may possibly be hard. Don't know...just wondering. I do wish Tamron had pursued the whole hormone in the mouth thing further. That was one of the weirdest things I've ever heard on this show and it went nowhere! The adult children are certainly fine people! I have no reason to doubt the younger kids will turn out any worse. Say what you want, at least they raise their children well.
  7. I don't think Robyn is Kody's favorite lately. With his new found appreciation of Christine and particularly Janelle they all seem about neck and neck, to me. In fact, it strikes me that Kody is weary of her simpering.
  8. I love the idea of a tiny house and am fascinated with the designs. But this episode was awful. I would have added, oh let's say 100 square feet (!) before getting rid of 2 family members! And that poor dog. Was it locked in the box during that party? Miserable life. I have friends who crate at bedtime, so I know it can have its place, but how about you exercise the dog enough and don't leave shit lying around for it to consume its boredom on. I didn't hear why they needed to be in such small quarters, did anyone else? Again, 100 additional square feet could not possibly have added that much cost and would have made it so livable. Oh, and a CLEAR curtain at the bathroom? Whatever happened to (a) folding doors or (b) pocket doors. This one was a fail. Poor kitties. Poor dog.
  9. I assumed rape. I found Nixon's character on SITC, Miranda, to be very annoying and it turns out I found Nixon annoying as well. It was interesting to learn her history but the way she finished everyone's sentences was irritating.
  10. "If we could somehow magically make all of them 21 years old and reasonably slender (for comparison), I'd still knock Meri out of the contest first (and, okay I'm going to get snarky here: if you have enough money for that useless house, you have enough money to get that brown tooth fixed. There. I said it.) Robyn is long-limbed and I think her hair is lovely; she has pretty eyes, but that Dudley Do-Right chin in profile is not happening, so she's out, too. Between Janelle and Christine (in my silly made-up scenario of slender and 21) I think Christine would be prettier; I think Janelle's wide-set eyes are fine when her makeup is done well; but I have a little trouble with the "gummy" smile. I honestly think there has been a HUGE improvement in Janelle's hair and makeup, though. If you look at her in, oh, season 3, she consistently has super heavy under-eye black liner (WAY too harsh for someone with her delicate coloring), she has no eyebrows (which has a much bigger impact than a lot of women realize), and her hair is all white--no dimension to the color at all. Here recently her hair has soft layers with caramel undertones (caramel--heheh...see what I did there?), a softer eye, nicely defined brows, and a gold highlighter across the cheekbones. I think there's been a big change." Oh NewBaku - I don't know if I agree or disagree...but you sure made me laugh! Thank you.
  11. What I've watched so far.... Hunter has turned out to be a lovely young man. I was impressed with him last night. I can understand Christine panting after Kody when he was younger. In those circles I think he was probably a catch. Shocking to hear her admit it though since she's such a prude. Kody with his hair pulled back. He should just get a tidy short cut. His face/jawline is still acceptable but the shag is gross and the ponytail is ridiculous.
  12. Yes, not interesting, but also we all saw right through them and their "religious" veneer for a threesome.
  13. Just rewatched the beginning before deleting....Nate Richard - "Not that I am thinking of a second wife, but it's in the Bible and I want to show you." Subtle dude.
  14. I think I lost my first post. If this repeats, sorry. I said....I think it was because the Browns live polygamy because of their faith, but the other guys seem to use faith as an excuse for a threesome. Say what you will about Kody, he has never come off as a horndog. Goofball, yes. Man on the make, not so much. And Kody seemed to understand the difference between them and was appropriately uncomfortable. Me too.
  15. Her husband can't entertain himself on the couch for a half hour while she makes cookies (probably for him)? Once again, a major life/marriage choice that solely benefits the man. THIS! What a lame ass reason for polygamy!!! And the poster who stated he wore her down, I can just imagine that....every damn day..."honey, did you read the passage yet?" OF COURSE she finds support of it on polygamy websites! Now try monogamy websites and see what it says. I agree that Kody really came off better in this ep than the other dork. Who would marry him in the first place is beyond me....zilch charisma. Christine's evil stare-down of Robyn was golden!!! But her comments about people are like animals (specifically chickens in this instance) was EMBARASSING!. From a religious perspective, people are created above animals and are to act as such. I used to really like her, but Meri is coming of better this season. Oh and thank you Meri for admitting that jealousy is part of the lifesty
