  1. I kind of figured it was a reference to Felicity/Oliver. Honestly even as an Olicity shipper, who actually stopped watching because of the stupid way the relationship was treated in season 4 post the kid reveal, also the fact they kept KC around, made Laurel instacanary and can't seem to fully get rid of the actress, even though she has zero acting skills and chemistry with really everyone.. but back to wedding topic: I was actually annoyed at the fact that Olicity were finally having their wedding but then they had to share it, and with Barry #NeverForgetten #BabySara I honestly think Iris and Felicity should move worlds and join Agents, they'll be better cared for there. Back to actual topic: this was a decent episode. I thought Tess had so much potential as a character- She would have made a great leader imo. The May fight scene was awesome! and Fitz sharing his heart to a hearing-less Simmons was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time (Honestly I want me some Fitz he really has become my favorite male character) I am a bit peeved they had him break character so quickly, would have been interesting to see as this under cover renegade Leo for another episode. the ending was.. odd. Where is Enoch going off to looking like a Kree? And deputy Kree is so going to kill in charge Kree (sorry I can't remember their names).
  2. Felicity? there isn't a character by that name on the show, is she a new one being added?
  3. Actually, they can easily bring her back to even before "Husbands of River Song", I believe it was during that special that she commented to 12 how much he reminded her of her second wife.. meaning there is also a first wife. So... for all we know,13 may be it without River ever finding out, since 13 will understand that this is a River from before the singing towers. Also 12 and River were on Darillium for 24 years- which means any adventure with a future doctor(s) can easily happen during that time. This also means as River ages they can easily use Alex in the future for episodes during those years or right before; her much younger appearance during River death can be explained as simply saying that the doctor gave her some of his regeneration power before they parted to make look as she did at the start of the darillium time, because she had to look as she was 24 years younger when she went back to Luna. Depends on who you ask. I liked Clara enough, but was fine with her gone as I felt she played her purpose - I think they had a hard time writing for her once the mystery of who she was had been explained. which is why I think they had troubles during 12 first year with their dynamic. I loved Rose with 9 but didn't like her with 10 as I found their romantic dynamic unrealistic and very one sided (unlike River and The doctor, in any incarnation of his- as someone said River and the Doctor were equals, even when he looked like a 12 years old). Also her constantly coming back. And I thought bringing Piper back as The moment was a smart move, this way you get Billie Piper but can avoid Rose, and I thought she did a better job playing The Moment than she did playing Rose - but by that point she had more acting experience under her belt. If they even try to replace Jodie so soon they may face serious backlash, and no doubt will find their rating lowering to new lows that they may get canceled. I, and many I know, will stop watching if they did such an idiotic stunt!
  4. Brilliant episode! Had a terrible time understanding what #13 was saying, literally had to google it. I hope it was just the music that made it hard to hear her and not the accent. I guess i'll know next year! Do we really have to wait till fall 2018? that's just really depressing! I admit even though I knew Bill was in the episode, when she was in the shadows (during her reintroduction) I was absolutely sure that she was River Song. I had hope for a view of her. And oh! the twist with the soldier being Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart father(?) I assume. It was fun seeing #1 opposite Bill, and how they kept shocking each other. It was funny but also put a great deal in showing us how very sexist the early doctors were (a true piece of their time period no doubt) Also 12th final words, copying 10th final words, but reversing them. And bloody hell! is the doctor gonna crash the Tardis every single regeneration now? this got to be the second or third since 2005; and it's only the fifth regeneration.
  5. interesting read: https://www.vox.com/culture/2017/7/21/15999684/doctor-who-woman-doctor-jodie-whittaker-thirteen
  6. I guess this isn't considered spoilers per sa.. but according to this EW interview from comic con, they have finished filming the Christmas special http://ew.com/tv/2017/07/22/doctor-who-peter-capaldi-jodie-whittaker-advice/
  7. True, but it can be considered more of a general question or shock than an outright fact that time lords were able to change gender. The corsair mention was really the first time it was said as a fact, that time lords can change gender.
  8. You forgot S06, when 11 mention his timelord friend (the one with the snake tattoo) who was a woman a couple of regenerations, I believe that was the first time we were introduced to a time lord/lady gender changing in nuwho.
  9. so I didn't really follow the batting game, was Jodie's name even in the ring at any point at all? I know alot of people who wanted a female doctor were surprised by the choice since they didn't even think about her as a contender.
  10. the thing about being an artist is that I can't stop thinking of outfits ideas for 13, especially since Jodie said the outfit she wore at the promo will not be 13 outfit. it will never happen, but I would love to see her wear something like this, I feel like Jodie could really rock it. http://www.imperolondon.co.uk/mens-c2/tailcoats-c6/impero-london-luxury-steampunk-antique-tan-tailcoat-waistcoat-military-emsemble-p66
  11. If I say "About Time" will it be too repetitive? I loved this little write up. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/a-thousand-year-old-alien-is-now-a-woman-or-how-white_us_596bc1c1e4b06a2c8edb4778 Maybe it's cause I'm a woman, maybe it's cause i'm jewish thus technically belong to a minority group (unless i'm visiting my home country), maybe it's cause i'm bi (another minority), or because I have green eyes (another minority), or maybe simply because I enjoy the show and understand, as the 11t said: times change and so must I, I have always been okay with a female doctor, a black doctor, an asian doctor, an actual alien looking doctor.. Just like I would be okay seeing James bond be a woman or non white (not sure if the whole "actual alien" part would work for an earth based secret service agent though). So i'm excited, seriously 54 years.. it's about damn time.
  12. Also: I wonder how no one mentioned the jelly babies yet!
  13. Will comment more later when i'm back from work, but is it me or did Bill exit felt a whole like a rehash of Clara's? dead, but not really; off to run the universe with another woman (though this time we know it is romantic)... no TARDIS this time around. So is the christmas special gonna be the 1st and 12th adventures through time and space? I can live with that.
  14. So the Master reveal took me by surprise, I knew he was coming but for some reason I thought he was gonna be one of the patients. Also, did they move the airing time? didn't it used to be at 7:10 or something like that? I missed half the episode because of it. (granted I also haven't watched lived in a few weeks). Bill turning into a cyberman was sad and wrong on so many levels! I was kind of hoping it be Nardole who gets the axe. Looking forward to next week for the Missy and Master show. :-)
  15. Haven't watched the finale yet (though I watched the Olicity kiss, Oliver calling Moira and the last scene with Chase shooting himself and blowing the island; reading the first page, and i think I'm gonna skip it, like I skipped last week episode too. Seriously between them bringing back KC and the latest episodes which I only kind of read about (minus the Olicity bottle episode) i'm really happy I dropped the show earlier this season. So was there only one small scene with Moira? It's kind of weird, I sort of care about the show - okay actually I only care about OTA, Lance, and Thea as characters but the shitty story telling for them has brought me to- at the same time I sort of don't care. Whatever, farewell Arrow, you were amazing! when you were well written, you are now but a shadow of your former self. they should have killed Laurel and not brought stupid drama into Olicity love life, maybe I would have stuck around.
  16. I think considering the monks are appearing next week it's probably likely that this episode feels a bit off and disjoined because it's part 1 of a two parter? It was a good episode, any mentions of River is a good thing in my book, and her giving Nardole permission to kick the doctor's ass was all sort of awesome. And once again I actually liked Nardole! (color me still surprised by that) I love Bill, and Missy is always a welcomed appearance, and I guess it is her in the box... honestly it was a bit too predictable, I do wish they had thrown a curve ball and done someone or something else. The priest guy checking up the doctor on his watch, growing more and more anxious by the data was a bit uneasy to watch yet cool non-the-less. Next week looks interesting.
  17. Not really, it's pretty straight forward if you go by regeneration timing. War doctor will technically be the 9th doctor, which makes 9-10, 10-11+12, and 11-13; while 12 will be 14 but also #1 in the new cycle.
  18. Soo the doctor is blind.. but we all know that's temporary. (Also color me confused but.. in season 7A he healed River hand using regeneration energy, can't he just do the same to himself?; am I missing something? besides the obvious the doctor needs to be blind for plot reasons) And What do you know, I actually really liked Nardole today! I continue to love Bill. Loved the ship crew, and Bill reaction to being called a racist - cause, like it or not, at the end of the day we're all a bit racist. - 12 points if you can identify the origin of that sentence. I love the not-so-subtle repeating diss against capitalism this season. I know the doctor did it before, but never did it feel like it was happening literally every episode. Which means it is probably a recurring theme and has to mean something. next week promo: the vatican?! Okay- I guess. River's diary!!!, this has to mean that either the Doctor or Missy or someone went back to the library to grab it (that has the potential to produce quite a slew of interesting fanfiction). And of course, Missy!! (she really is so fine).
  19. No, no I didn't. I stopped following spoilers and things related to the show when I decided to drop it. Haven't even really kept up with my subscribed fanfics (i'm way behind on a few of them). I believe the 10th Doctor said it best "I don't like it" I guess my time with Arrow is really and truly over after this season, I refuse to give the time for a show that fucks around with my OTP and bring back its worst actress. Man, for about an hour I had hope that maybe the show I used to love was coming back.. this time last year, who'd have thunk the only DC-CW i'd actually wanna watch will be LoT!?!
  20. Haven't watched an episode since 5x05 or 10 I think... can't really remember. I heard a bottle episode with Oliver and Felicity and I figured I owed myself to watch, how bad can TPTB fuck this up? Well it was all great, until that last minute, where I had to pause the episode because it was either that or throw my computer out the widow from rage. Amazing how shitty writing can fuck up even the most amazing chemistry and characters, unbelievable. Somehow, Oiiver is never to blame, EVER!!! GRRRR! so annoying, and in the name of that I think they may have officially killed Felicity. I did not reconize the Felicity I saw in the last minute, that is not the character I instantly found a kinship, admiration and role model of sorts for several years. The Felicity I know is made of awesome and she will never say those things!! ;-( That being said: sex scene was HOT!!!!!! as fuck (pun intended)- Oliver roughly turning Felicity, Daamn brother! work it!! Someone turn on the AC!. Stephen and Emily continue to have screen burning chemistry, TPTB just need to let them be.. no fucking idiotic drama where felicity says "i'm sorry" for walking away on Oliver or understanding why he lied to her about William!!!- because I will never understand; I can't decide if I wanna send flowers or a stink bomb to whomever wrote this episode. Kept waiting for Oliver to say "never" when Felicity kept telling him to let go. that elevator shaft scene was made of awesome. Side note: I really enjoyed Dinah!! (Imagine that!) had she been the Black Canary straight after Sara I would have been a happy camper. Weird as it may be for the rest of you (since I know many dislike Rena), I enjoyed mini OTA dynamic (much more than last year, than again last year mini OTA had Laurel - need I say more?) with uncle and auntie Diggle as the babysitters, while mommy and daddy are busy fighting for their lives. I find them funny enough, there's a good dynamic between the three of them. If the show gets better again, I'm cool with all three sticking around. So where exactly it Thea? Still not enough to make me comeback and watch full time, though I may catch the last few episodes of the season just for the hack of it (though i'll pass on the Laurel episode, I had enough of her turning up on the LoT finale -_-, hopefully this season is the last of any version of her).
  21. Definitely enjoying this season, this was a great episode! I kept hoping we see a glimpse of 11 and/or River, but I imagine the Tardis would have made sure to land 12 and Bill in a day and location further from any previous regenerations. I continue to love Bill, and the little as possible bits of Nardole is perfect, just the right amount. Not sure why you guys are having issues understanding either Pearl or Peter, I haven't encountered that problem myself, (I don't even think I had issues back in season 8 when Capaldi first started). However, I am also not a native english speaker so maybe my ears are just used to english being spoken with various thick accents. Looking forward to finding out what's in the vault, and I look forward to next week.
  22. Speech patterns and attitudes change not only over time but by location too (slang in NYC would be different than in LA, let alone in a different english speaking country). even inside the same country. It makes sense that the people of two different spaceships, who may have came from the same time but from different places, would have some variation in speech and culture.
  23. But the screwdriver is basically a computer, an advanced one mind you. I would imagine all the screwdrivers are connected and continue to work is not because of the casing but because of the internal hardware and software. it's possible than when a new screwdriver is made all the software on the previous one is copied to the new one- like we do with a backup drive and transfer that info to a new computer when we buy it. Hence why the calculation the war doctor started continued on to 10 and 11th screwdrivers.
