  1. I honestly had no idea she wasn't American, she's doing a great accent!
  2. Pride, you big ol' hypocrite. I almost want the team to go rogue every week against his orders and watch him going nuts about it, he deserves it.
  3. Rumour has it the show will only have 13 episodes for the season, so that means only 4 more next year. Boo.
  4. I was watching with my mom and we were DYING with laughter during that scene. Adam and Junior were driving FOREVER and Steve was on foot, yet somehow Adam and Junior needed to catch up. The tunnels must've stretched from the bank to Maui.
  5. I liked the McGarrett/Junior/Adam scenes in the bank. I like what Adam brings to the team dynamic and hope they can hand wave a way to use him. I don't care about Tani and her family problems. I find Junior a lot more interesting.
  6. Damn I hate Pride like this. The character was so good in the first season. I almost want then writers to have him diagnosed with a brain tumour or something, just to explain away his stupidity. Then he can have surgery, come back and be less of a complete asshat.
  7. Probably because there was no good shot of him removing his own knife. Fight scenes a bitch for continuity. They probably figured most people wouldn't notice. I think they underestimate the eagle eyes that watch military shows.
  8. I think they missed out on some good moments with the victims that had been there for years - their reactions at seeing the outside, the kids reactions leaving a bunker they have NEVER been out of. I think it could have been really fascinating and good TV to see that part of things.
  9. Just last night NCIS Los Angeles used the name Sokolov in their episode. And the actor that played tonight's Sokolov was on NCIS Los Angeles twice too.
  10. I am digging Hidoko.
  11. I love all the terms for name brand chocolate bars they can't say. Since I'm Canadian I have a hard time figuring them out sometimes. I was cringing at the raw jalapeno ... I think that would've been super overpowering. I've had some fantastic spicy chocolate before with chili peppers, and it's really good, but it definitely wasn't raw!
  12. I am really liking this show too. I tried SEAL Team and was so bored. I like the actual team members here. I also like that there isn't a lot of sappy moments. I almost expected Jaz to freak out about the girl and there to be teh dramaz with it, but it was all handled really well. There wasn't anyone going rogue on the team, which I'd expect to see in other shows.
  13. Okay, glad I'm not the only person that thought she missed an episode where Percy and LaSalle had some kind of relationship lol. I was totally confused about the whole storyline.
  14. If a psychologist pulled that on me, I would NEVER trust them. And any decent one wouldn't alienate people by pulling that shit. I am irrationally angry about this fictional character acting like a huge douchecanoe. Don't care what happened in her past either. I like Maria Bello, and I wish they had introduced her character way better than this.
  15. I really liked the episode too. I thought the vibe they created really felt like Afghanistan - some great set dec in this episode. And I totally agree - never noticed how hot McGuire was until tonight - I also love he's the one bringing the humour, so I'm cool if we have an episode devoted to fleshing him out more.
  16. I've been wondering if there were less commercials when the show was in its first run, because the timing does seem off, but more with the actual scene times. I'm wondering if they're adjusting to different show time lengths due to more commercials.
  17. I love how the show misdirected everything and made it about ripped off designs when it was really about cheating. Claire got a very kind edit. I remember the first cheating scandal. Someone saw the books in the room, told Tim, and the guy was kicked off. End of story. It was handled just like it should be. Instead, Michael, Margarita and anyone else who saw Claire (and/or Shawn) using banned items in the rooms and cheating kept it to themselves until Claire was about to win lots of money. So the cheating was okay until then? Why was it suddenly an issue ... apparently from what they said they've been doing it for quite some time. This just smells like manufactured drama.
  18. I was a bit disappointed all Hannah got was a lecture ... I mean, she disobeyed orders, acted on her own and could have blown the mission ... and she gets a lecture AND her big bad is taken out. I see that as a win for Hannah and a guarantee she'll do it again since she came out way ahead on this.
  19. Those brain cakes looked gross, but awesome lol. The reactions to the Baked Alaska brains had me rolling. SO funny.
  20. Yeah, new guy having to go to the Academy was all kinds of WTF to me. I can't handle sad animals, I was in tears at the end.
  21. Yeah, I can't figure out what Michael thinks Claire did wrong? From what I understand, they aren't just free to go back to their rooms whenever, are they? If she designed pants similar to ones she had then ... yay for doing something you know you've done before so you can accomplish it in the time frame? It's not like pants are all that innovative. I mean, one leg, two leg, crotch if you're lucky. Not a lot of variation there. If I remember right haven't other designers used pants they're wearing to try and make a pattern for themselves?? I think Michael was just pissed she won. If he had a real problem with it, he should've brought it up to Tim before the runway show and judging. For all of Margarita's bitching, Claire's top didn't end up looking anything like Margarita's after Tim's consult. So shut up, Margarita. The grown up thing to do, without putting Claire on the defensive, would be to say "Hey, I think the judges might say it looks too similar to the top of dress I did, and you don't want them knocking you for that." Margarita really shot herself in the foot by focusing on something that turned out nothing like her dress. And she screwed her client over in the process. I'm no Claire fan, but I liked her design. And let's be honest. She is not going to win this show. I think everyone in that work room knows it, so to throw a fit over this seems really unnecessary.
  22. I've wondered if Deeks will get a storyline explaining his relationship with his mom, because it's always seemed off to me. I remember his father was abusive to them and Deeks shot him and he later died in a car accident. His mom has always come off to me like there's something more going on there that Deeks has had to deal with - like maybe she has a personality disorder or bipolar disorder and he's had to deal with that. They write her as if he has some kind of issue from growing up specifically to do with her, but it's never been apparent what. I really hope we get more Deeks/Whiting. I like Deeks with just about everyone on this show, but his interactions with LAPD are always hilarious. He really doesn't fit there, and I think he should have gone over to NCIS a long time ago. What keeps him with LAPD??
  23. I'm not surprised she's leaving. The character hasn't really changed much over 15 seasons, and there isn't much you can really do with a labrat character like Abby, because she doesn't have the same skill set to be involved in storylines like the other characters can be. I imagine it must get pretty boring playing the same types of scenes over and over again as an actor. You could take so many Abby scenes and not have a clue which episode it is because they're all fairly similar. I'd like to see Abby decide to change or adjust her career somehow and go off into the sunset that way.
  24. Took me half the episode to realize the CIA officer was Ellie from Degrassi TNG.
  25. Interesting that the two who did brownies were in the bottom. They seemed to hate on the brownies as being simple. I love brownies, don't hate on brownies, judges lol.
