I hope Shawn goes, because I actually want to see what Claire could make without having her sister there. She's definitely the stronger of the two, and I think she might do much better on her own. I thought Claire looked really nice without the garish lipstick earlier in the episode. Just a lot more relatable and less pretentious.

Did it look to anyone else like Scratch let go and didn't just fall?

I liked Simmons on Beyond Borders, so I'm happy to see him here. I like that he's aware of the BAU and knows everyone, so there's no need to show him learning the ropes since the audience already know how this show goes. Sometimes when newbies get added there's so much re-explanation of everything it gets tedious. He fits nicely because we know he's been there the whole time.

I liked the focus on Gibbs and McGee because I felt a lot of that was missing last season. I still am not a fan of Bishop or Reeves, but I think Torres is on his way to fitting - I wish they'd only added Torres and not Reeves and Quinn last season. I didn't miss Quinn at all. I'm not sure how Maria Bello will fit into all of this, but the team still feels bloated and I can't imagine she'll improve that feeling.

Meh. Still over Pride acting above the rules and everyone just going along with it.

It's hard to judge a pilot sometimes, because there's such limited time to get to know what is a fairly large cast and set up some of the over-arcing stories, but overall I think they did a decent job, and I'll definitely watch a few more episodes before making a final decision. I did think they did a good job hooking you into watching the next episode with the cliffhanger.

Ugh, Alex. I don't need that hosebeast on BB next year, shut up Will.
-
HAHahahahahaha this is amazing!
-
Oh I so wish BB would have Julie tell them all about Jessica's Bold and the Beautiful taping on the live show. I WANT THIS.

The houseguests being disrespectful is one thing, but Big Brother hasn't done anything about it. On other versions Big Brother is an entity in the game. US BB needs to step up. Break the rules? Lose some stipend. Get a penalty nom. How about some unique punishments? Break a rule, your makeup is taken away. Or the entire house gets all the cereal taken away for a week. You break a rule, everyone else gets a punishment. Don't do the punishment, you're out of the game, and someone new comes in. Do nothing and the houseguests walk all over production and you get this shit show.

If only we could watch a feed of THAT.

I abhor Alex. She is an absolute hosebeast.

I seem to remember in a season in the past HG were using the Bible to "talk" privately by pointing to words and trying to have secret conversations and BB stopped it. I imagine it'd be 10 times worse if there were books in the house lol. (That being said I could never go on BB and be without books for that long, I'd die). I do wish they were given more games to play because I think it gives them something to do and they can still talk, plus it can act like a cover for talking game but looking like you're just playing a board game or card game.

Right now with the world in shit and so much horrible stuff going on, I want my TV to be a fun escape, and Big Brother just makes everything worse. These self absorbed bullying pieces of crap have dragged down what should be a fun summer escape into a hellish steaming pile. I stopped watching the feeds weeks ago, I don't watch the shows except eviction, and even reading about it makes my blood boil. So fuck you, Grodner and CBS for allowing this pile of crap to exist and these vile people to have a stage to share their craptastic personalities. Next summer better have the best damn cast in the fucking world or I'm done for good.

I stopped watching last week. These people are horrific assholes, the show is no fun, and I can't believe CBS thinks this is good TV. Everyone is deluded. There is no good outcome here. No one deserves to win, they all suck. Off to watch S10 of Australia's Next Top Model ... way more fun.

So that was ... sad. I feel kind of like I've been kicked in the guts. I like that it wasn't neat and clean and tidy. It was like life. But that also means that I feel as crappy because I am way too attached to fictional characters and now I'm bummed out. Probably one of the most downer finales ever, but that being said, really amazing work by everyone.

I was totally not expecting Nate would be shot (and I'm assuming killed) - I had been dreading the fact I thought Jay would die just based on the drug use and his losing Maya and Amy. So colour me surprised it was Nate getting shot. (And the actor that played the bouncer played serial killer twins on Criminal Minds, so I already didn't like him lol) I wouldn't be surprised though if it was something like Nate survives but he's paralyzed and can never fight again. Because I can see Alvey deciding to do his fight if Nate survives because they'd need the money for his care. If his son dies and he still fights it seems a bit callous, but then ... isn't that Alvey in a nutshell? I did like that Alvey was a prick about it, because that felt realistic. Dom ... I don't get what he added to the show at all, unless it was just a way to involve Ryan and Lisa in more stuff. I'm also trying to figure out the point of all the Christina stuff. I've been hoping she'd walk from these guys and start up her own operation instead of living under Terry or Cody's thumb all the time. Not sure how much they can wrap up in one episode - it seems like there's too much to really settle.

http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/westworld-season-2-cast-jonathan-tucker-neil-jackson-1202502853/ The news that Jonathan Tucker was cast in season 2 is what brought me to watching the show over the last few days. I'm so hooked! I can't wait to see how he fits in this world.

Paige Davis: The Perkiest Host on TV
threebluestars replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Trading Spaces [V]
I felt the same way about House Hunters losing Suzanne Whang as host. Somehow she made the show a lot more enjoyable to watch even though you could argue a host wasn't necessary. -
Carpenters: Hotties with Hammers

I really hope they bring Amy Wynn Pastor back. I remember it being so cool to see a female carpenter on the show, and I think they'd be stupid not to have one this time around. She fit in so well with the designers too. -
Designers: Love Em or Hate Em
threebluestars replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Trading Spaces [V]
I loooooved Doug. His snarkiness sustained me. I really hope he comes back. I loved Vern's designs because they were totally my aesthetic though. -
The nicknames are so fascinating to me. It's really so unique that so many people know just a nickname and nothing else about people they're spending a ton of time with. I find it fascinating in a culture where everyone overshares on social media. It takes some effort to be hidden like that these days.

I am so afraid we're heading for Jay Kulina dying at the end of the series. He just seems so lost in a very different way than before, and I'm scared watching it. I really don't like Dom. He needs to GTFO now. Keith was funny, but when he said he wondered if he'd gotten on the right meds earlier what his life could have been and that just crushed me. I think that's true for so many people. I'm glad we got a bit of closure with Keith and Ryan, and seeing Ryan, who is so alone himself, acknowledging Keith as his brother and promising to be there was so great. And then Dom shits all over it and Crap Ryan comes back. Fuck off, Dom.

Have they even mentioned Raven's gastroparesis on the broadcast shows? It'd be hilarious if they never mention it and this entire time she thinks she's the poster child for it.

With Ryan, I don't know if self defense can be claimed once you chase the guy out of your house and beat him while he was trying to flee. That sound like the complete opposite of self defense. Oh Jay. Even when he knows someone has a foot out the door, he can't help but be shocked when the other foot follows. I never thought Amy would stay - she seemed like she was waiting for some kind of reason to go. The drugs were a good one, but I think she would've found a reason even if he hadn't started up again. And I completely can't stand Dom. I have no clue what his presence is supposed to be adding to the show right now unless it's to make something really bad happen for everyone.
