  1. Here's an article about Kevin's dad being convicted - http://archive.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2006/08/12/cocaine_dealer_69_ordered_to_spend_decade_in_prison/
  2. I find with the rose ceremony in the middle of the episode, I turn off the show after it's over, mostly because I know the next episode will have a little recap and I'll easily figure out what I missed. They are really shooting themselves in the foot by not having the rose ceremonies at the end of the episodes. I like Eric's energy, but he seems so much younger than Rachel, and not on the same level in terms of what they want out of a serious relationship at this point. I see the same thing with Dean, which sucks. I think they're trying to fool us into thinking Peter isn't a frontrunner.
  3. Just caught up on all of season 3. Seeing Jay in the park, snorting coke and becoming his old self was so heartbreaking to watch - and there was no dialogue! Jonathan Tucker never ceases to amaze me with how much he gets across without words. You can watch his scenes without sound and come away understanding everything that happened. I think he really hit the nail on the head with Nate "I am a very weak man." I am really nervous for this season because it has a feeling of things going badly for a lot of people.
  4. I think what pisses me off about Lee is that the producers knew he was a racist douchecanoe before they brought him on. They are doing this on purpose. And it's not to get people talking about race, because they're going to do that based on the nature of Rachel being the first Bachelorette of colour - they did it hoping for a confrontation. It feels gross and manipulative, not to mention disrespectful to Rachel and all of the other contestants that have to put up with it knowing it was brought to them to try and trigger a response.
  5. I loved Dean's "You know exactly what I mean" to the producer trying to get that soundbite.
  6. Yeah, I don't listen to podcasts, I like to read.
  7. I think Jeff has/had underlying issues with transpeople, and that's at the root of why he said what he did. I don't think he's acknowledged that, and that's why I find him so off-putting. If he had come out and said he had to take a look at himself and figure out why he did that and address the fact he may have issues against transpeople he wasn't consciously aware of, then I think I could be more forgiving toward him. But it seems all he wants is for people to laud him for admitting to his "mistake" and not look at why he made it in the first place. I think owning the underlying issues would have been sincere, but I don't think Varner thinks he has underlying issues, and it seems evident when you watch him spin his experience.
  8. It's 6 - Ryan, Jack Jr, RJ, Emma, Millie and Josie (I had to look it up lol). I liked having Monty travel with the team. I hope they'll have him travel with them more.
  9. I was pissed Torres and his automatic weapon didn't get his ass off that helicopter to back up Gibbs. At least McGee doesn't leave a man behind!
  10. One of her brothers was killed in the shooting, and another wounded. Victim and former 'ANTM' contestant relives Haverstock Hill shooting
  11. When a white, 40-something, Canadian woman says "Wow, these Jamaican accents are bad." maybe you should've hired some Jamaican actors.
  12. First few seasons, Abby was one of my favourite characters. I downright hated her last night. What an asshole. And I hate the whole "we're getting married now" and our families totally don't need to be here. Bull! (Speaking of, would have been nice to have more of a Tony mention than his creepy apartment) Delilah ... now there is a character I adore. I dearly wish they could have added her to the cast instead of Bishop, Quinn and Fez. I did like the Gibbs/McGee scenes a lot - they were so good, and it just amps up how much I hate the others.
  13. Maybe we'll get a Dallas moment and Pride wakes up in the hospital after a coma and just dreamed this season. Brody's back and everything is fine.
  14. So when they got rid of Merry, they (producers) were trying to spin it like her character was so compromised because of the baddie she got involved with that she wouldn't have been able to continue to work in that capacity, so there was nothing more they could do with the character ... And yet Pride takes out a restaurant, fakes his death, kidnaps people, threatens people, conducts unauthorized investigations ... and we're expected to believe he'll still be the main character of this show? The man should be in jail and/or a hospital. And it doesn't escape me that it's a male character who'll get away with this shit. I've never liked Steven Weber's mayor character, and I wish it had ended ages ago, but this is just a stupid storyline. This whole season has been such a huge disappointment, and it all stems from the writing of the characters.
  15. I thought last week's episode would have made a good season finale, so I'm not sure what to expect from the finale ... the tempo seems off with the story right now.
  16. Every episode when they get a job, they "solve" the initial problem, but it causes an even worse problem (with or without someone being captured or trapped) and then they cause more destruction to fix it ... what I'm wondering is why anyone gives these people jobs anymore! lol. The pacing of the episode seemed really strange in the last half. I was actually not pleased with the Walter/Paige moment. I liked their talk, but when she reciprocated, the camera cuts away to everyone else, and I felt like it kind of robbed the moment from the audience - which makes me think something will happen to break them up in the season opener so we'll go through it all again. Paige is injured, Walter is injured, one pushes the other away or something. Because they've been leading up to this big "I love you" and we didn't get much out of it.
  17. Yeah, I was a little WTF at Lydia coming at the team out of nowhere like that. We haven't heard a whisper about any trouble, and she was over the top angry at them, and I thought for awhile I may have missed an episode or something. Really liked Monty - he didn't not give two shits lol.
  18. I really hope they aren't writing Shalita Grant out. If so, it's the swan song for my interest in the show. I hated losing Zoe McLellan. It's like they get a good mix of people, then shoot themselves in the foot with it. I don't get it. I wish they could bringing McLellan back as PO Coates (like she should've been initially!) lol.
  19. Chris Soules knew full well his ass was going to get nailed for drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter. So he ran, hid and attempted to mitigate the evidence. That is the action of a person who is making a calculated decision to save his own ass after taking a life. I hope he rots in jail.
  20. Am I the only one hoping for some kind of horrible attack that kills Bishop, Torres, Quinn and MI-6 dude? It's so bad with characters this season I had to look up Quinn's name and have no idea what the MI-6 guy is named. At all. Fuck, I used to love this show.
  21. Was just at Burger (they've rebranded - it's Gordom Ramsay Burger now) and the food was fantastic. Christina showed up while we were there, jumped on the pass and was super hands on - just like Ramsay is when he shows up. It was nice to see she's in a higher position now - from what I know she travels to his different restaurants keeping tabs on things and making sure it's all running smoothly.
  22. I thought the reason Sam and Callen were so annoyed is that technically these were civilians interfering in an official investigation, one in which they knew the accused, and they were involving themselves when they really shouldn't be. The admirals weren't there in any official capacity. It'd be like any witness or friend of the accused suddenly showing up with guns to help - nevermind that they have military experience. And with all the crap Hetty has pulled, I wouldn't be surprised if Sam and Callen would be wary of the fact she tipped these guys off about what was happening.
  23. What bothers me most is that Varner is not really apologetic. He's revising what happened to make himself look like a slightly clueless guy who accidentally revealed info. He literally said "Why haven't you told anyone you're transgender?" at tribal, and in a talking head said he knew something about Zeke no one else knew. Then in his "apology" has the audacity to claim he thought everyone knew. NO NO NO. LIE, LIE, LIE. He's embarrassed and probably afraid of the reactions and fallout - justifiably so. But to turn around and claim he thought everyone knew is a huge lie, it's deceitful, easily proved wrong, and makes him look so much worse. If he had claimed it, owned it and really apologized for it instead of trying to revise what happened into something more palatable, I'd be more inclined to believe him. I liked Varner before this. Now ... I think we saw who he truly is inside. I think that was his true self. And I feel bad for the guy, because he must be filled with so much self hatred of himself to hurt others like that. I'd hope they ban him from the reunion, but I know they'll milk it for all its worth - and Varner isn't worth the screen time.
  24. I'm sure I actually heard a police character say they would never have solved the case without them. I'm already sick of the "IRT as Saviours" vibe with them swooping in to save the day because no way could local cops ever be good at their jobs.
