The problem is that aemonds supposed to be the final boss. Like team green is almost entirely made up of Daeron and Aemond and the only other bad ass moment that Aemond has left is against rhaenys, if they cant even do this storyline properly, I dont imag they're going to be able to do that fight any justice

If he did that on purpose, i wouldnt even be mad at aemond,Luke shouldnt have went for that kill shot 6 years ago. But of course we cant have good things so it was an oopsy instead. Corlys seems to be one of the few people on the show going through something even called an arc. Rhaenys refusing to take the knee is more epic than that stupid dragon stunt from last week Rhaenyra trying to keep the peace is quite naive. There is no way that she can possibly think that they'd not try to kill her in the future even if she accepts the terms. War time daemon is scary daemon. Hes not playing Jack is the only other player of note so far. He mightve legit made a good king.

So basically everything from Blood and cheese to every other bad thing that happens in the story is going to be daemon's blood lust? How could they fuck up that Storms end story so bad. They went from building aemond up to be a proper daemon opponent to just making him look like an incompetent dumbass. Dont get me started on the fact that they took out boras egging him on.

Her dragon wasnt imprisoned, she couldve went out the front door. Sure team green made the first move, but that doesnt make her actions less reckless

I couldnt figure out what else was driving me crazy, they were going out of their way to push the alicent good mother thing yet they took out the scene of Alicent crowning her daughter. Kind of a big scene to leave on the cutting room floor, esp when its cut because they had to put in that silly rhaenys scene.

Im not saying that there isnt a mental bond just that theres not a magical avatar type bond where one can control said dragon when youre not on them. If thats the case, then theres no reason to ever ride a dragon into a war since you can control them from miles away. The first dany incident was magic, the rest werent supposed to happen, even george said that. Since he had no control over those last 3 seasons but has control here, Id say we cant use the show is the show and the book is the book under those circumstances

I noticed that the maester was on the bridge with otto, since it would fit with a scene these writers would love, Id say that rhaenyras about to snatch a certain naughty maesters chain

One thing rhanys did that works on top of what you said is she was loud leaving there. Even if they were able to catch and kill her, theres no keeping it quiet till they could lock down alliances anymore

There was a coronation there and as far as they knew, Rhaenys was imprisoned so why is the dragon pit all of a sudden the most heavily guarded place in kings landing? Theres no reason to guard it anywhere near as heavily as you're implying, thats just a way of justifying her "bad ass" moment of crashing through the ceiling. The only realistic reason why shed do that instead of going through the front door is to either kill off team green before changing her mind cuz Alicent was being a good mother or to flip off team green before flying off. Either way it was a stupid thing to do and will have huge ramifications on the future

Ottos so nonexistent in his grandkids life that I often forget he's a grandfather. I dont imagine Im the only one that does this. These idiots planned a coup and didnt even bother priming their chosen leader so they could lead through them. It's kind of amazing actually.

Season 2 was a mystical situation and those other 2 are d and d creations, as far as George goes there are no such mental bonds between rider and dragon. Yea Alicent is a shit mother in general who leaves her children to figure it out for themselves. Shes done such a bad job on the basics that raising Aegon to lead has been the least of her problems. Which is why Id imagine she doesnt get called out for it. If such a bond existed, why wouldnt dreamfyre, vhagar and sunfire have come out of the pit and fucked melys up since their riders were clearly in danger?

So these pit masters with knowledge of dragons heard a dragon crashing through the ceiling and decided to stay where they're at? As opposed to going to confront said dragon? Given these circumstances, Rhaenys who had a short window decided to stick around long enough to send an unnecessary message to the greens? That explanation makes her even more of a dumbass

Sorry fixed it I think, was referring to Rhaenyra. Admittedly I was using hyperbole but yes what I was saying is that hes toned down alot from the books especially in the back half. Its not tyrion levels yet, but its getting there.

So she wasnt trying to escape then, she just killed a whole lotta towns folk to put the fear of god in the greens before flying off. That makes what she did even worse than thinking she was going to kill them if not for the mother bond between her and Alicent

Also even if through the ceiling was the only way out, once she got through the ceiling, she didnt try to leave, she went the opposite way of the exit towards the family. Why even go towards the family if she was trying to just get away

Why would the way out have been barred? She has a dragon, there are no bars. Not to mention that I doubt the people of kings landing wouldve been stupid enough to try and entomb unwilling dragons.

Fair enough but since his marriage to Laena, hes pretty much been a church boy with even his despicable acts being justified for one reason or the other. Hell even in that scene with rhaenyra, they had him stop short of doing anything with her cuz it wasnt right.

Also ignoring the fact that locking the dragon in the sept wouldve done nothing, what were the guards hoping to accomplish by closing the door? Were they secretly team black, advocating for the extermination of the royal family?

Weird thing is if Otto wouldve kept his mouth shut, thats what wouldve happened. At the time that Viserys named Rhaenyra his heir, everybody including Rhaenyra was shocked at this. If Otto wouldve just let Daemon be the just in case heir, none of this wouldve been necessary

We dont see him going over to her cuz the cameras on the dragon coming into the room. Hes clearly in front of helena in a defensive position the next time we see them, its not a coincidence. Ive never once heard someone call someone else an imbecile when their kid or anybody else for that matter asked a person if they love them. Even if that was what she was going for with her tone, that was a stupid way to answer the question.

When your mother who can barely look at you or even sit near you calls you an imbecile after you ask her if she loves you, you tend to get an entirely different message. If that was her intention, that was a big ole fail.
