  1. All of the rat catchers would've died regardless of whether they found the right one or not. Not knowing the name of the rat catcher just gave them an excuse to commit mass murder without consequences. Ironically enough, they have no idea whether or not they even caught the 2nd killer so that will likely haunt them. The fact that Otto's schemes keep fucking over Otto almost makes one feel bad for him... almost. It'll be interesting to see if Daemon overcompensates to make up for his error or goes rogue to prove a point.
  2. She also had a hand who was giving her bad advice in a futile attempt to save his family, which nullified the dragons and Dothraki. She also had to deal with a white walker outbreak and horrendous writing. I get that in order for the show to be a thing, something has to happen to make the war a legit struggle, but at the moment, team black has all the advantages. It'll be interesting to see how they fuck it up.
  3. It's intriguing to imagine how he would've reacted. Perhaps, he would've been fine with it, considering one of his kids was to be the queen, and the other was to be the queen of Drift mark. Or maybe, he would've seen it as a challenge, a chance to prove his children's worth and secure their place in the succession. I imagine it would be the former. On another note, this war should be over super quick. Team Black has the dragon advantage; they own the seas, and all Team Green really has is Vagar, Aemond, and Cole. I'm not sure how Team Black can mess this up.
  4. Between this and the aemond blinding incident, these guards are coming off as horrible at guarding children.
  5. Regardless of their intention, team black just gave Team Green the moral high ground with that murder. I'd be shocked if they didn't politicize the hell out of that murder during the war. On a positive note, that eliminates one dragon since any chance team Green had of Helena willing warring on a dragon went poof with her son's death.
  6. Why is this show going out of its way to let the characters off the hook for stuff they did in the book First, they make Aemond the victim instead of the aggressor when he loses his eye. Then they have Daemond and Rhaenyra not kill Laenor. Then, Aemond killing Luke was an accident. Now Jaehyrus is getting killed more because the assassins she hired got a bit ambitious as opposed to any specific orders. To top it all off, Helena is not forced to make Sophie's choice (that one's okay; they conveyed the book's message of Helena choosing a kid to kill, and ultimately, the actual events would likely change nothing other than needlessly upsetting non-book readers). Also, why are they making Alicent so much more accessible than in the book? Between providing foot porn and now banging Criston, she's coming off a helluva lot worse than in the book, and that's saying something.
  7. There's a reason you don't do time twists unless you know what you're doing. You create huge paradoxes that can be easily exposed. The only reason why Jeffrey was an asshole is because of things that Ben did to change the timeline. Before this, he had no reason to be the way he was because his father's death was a tragedy that had nothing to do with Ben. It's laziness like this that shows why this show sucks so much. With paper-thin characters, these lazy plots and one-dimensional villains have turned me off of this show. Also, why does this show feel the need to keep Ben and Addison together when they have little to no chemistry?
  8. This episode is exactly the reason that we shouldn't put so much time into non-leap stuff. This version of Quantum Leap, which reveled in fixing the original's consent issues, now has substantial consent issues since he's kissing, having sex, etc., in someone else's body. His failing a leap means he takes over that body, is also messed up because the person being leapt into gets killed for something that wasn't their fault. This love square cannot die fast enough. I noticed that he didn't tell Hannah that he loved her when she said she loved him, and now Addison is suddenly showing doubt with Tom, so they're probably going to resolve this square incorrectly. If they waste so many years of Hannah's life in an unrequited love square, I'm not sure I'd be interested in the show afterward, even with the obvious sacrifice on her part that'll take place. The case of the week was fine. I wonder why Ziggy didn't just tell them when she died so there wouldn't be so much confusion. But regardless, it was a fun leap, and Lou was an entertaining guest.
  9. Also if you're trying to prove that you're not a witch , wouldnt making it rain on command be one of the worst things that one could possibly do?
  10. I believe they were expecting the audience to be all, OMFG, witch trials, so we'd ignore all the aforementioned nonsense or the fact that Ben's CPR was horrendously bad. On another note, that was such a weak conclusion to the Ben- Addison hologram drama nonsense. No build-up, just Ben accepting things and moving on. If you couldn't write a better reunion storyline, don't break them up in the first place. That being said, I hope more of their future episodes are leap-based and less about the shenanigans of the crew back at the base.
  11. Vanessa is probs celebrating big time. We finally got our first love is blind couples baby. Congrats to Zach and bliss https://people.com/love-is-blind-bliss-poureetezadi-zack-goytowski-pregnant-expecting-first-baby-exclusive-8404441
  12. Other than that one scene where Tom kind of flirted with her, they've done nothing other than have soap opera dialogue scenes together. If she didn't tell Ben they were a couple, they wouldn't come off as a couple. I don't need them full-on making out at work, but they can at least have some subtle gestures. The audience that didn't like Ben and Addison for the most part didn't like Addison. Putting her in another couple won't change that. I'm sure some people like them together, but I don't imagine it's a lot. If they're trying to drum up support for said relationship, slow playing it the way, they are isn't going to help. Maybe Im in the minority, but if they continue down this path of showing Ben succeeding without her, then there doesn't feel like there's a place for her since the other characters have the other areas covered pretty well.
  13. What good does military training do in this scenario if its not being used to advise Ben? Jenn's already got security covered. That might work if it weren't for the fact that the writers aren't subtle at all. If they'd just let Addison and Tom act like a couple instead of basically tiptoeing around HQ when everybody's fine with the relationship, the audience might accept it. Instead, they're going to just make Addison look bad by highlighting how many years Hannah's willing to wait for Ben.
  14. Unless Jess is incapacitated, there's no current use for her to be there if she's not the hologram. They're all aware of what being a hologram entails at this point. It's been two episodes and they got little use for her. She was only used in the last episode because Ian and Jenn were busy with that chip nonsense.
  15. It's not lost on me that her life improved the two times Ben ran into her. It's almost as if Ziggy is motivated to see her succeed. To be fair to the actress, the writing for her is shit. She should be flourishing away from Ben and that soap opera-ish stuff, yet even this week, she's stuck in soap opera nonsense just with a new actor. Even if she were Meryl Streep, she couldn't overcome that nonsense.
  16. It's interesting that they showed Hannah making that witch trial joke in the preview, and where does he wind up next? Ziggy is connected to Hannah somehow , haven't figured out how yet. Egypt 1961? Im willing to be that Hannah will be there in the midseason finale and that'll likely kick off the whole Love Square sitch.
  17. Tom is easily the best hologram out of everybody. He takes the job seriously instead of fanboying/girling and uses his position as a hologram to get valuable information. I'm not even mad at the dynamic those two have. Are they purposely avoiding having Addison tom kiss? It seems weird that I don't remember seeing them kiss even though they're supposed to have been a couple for eight months. For someone who claims to like partners who are open and vulnerable, she sure seems to pick partners who are the opposite. Yo Ian, when your girl is giving up her livelihood to help you, maybe don't needlessly rub it in her employee's face that you one-upped them. Show you literally bought up consent issues that happened on this show. If you can't get around said issues, don't have a romance between the two. This show shines when it concentrates on the story, so more about the leaps and less about the outside world. One of the better episodes this season.
  18. Ben's best friend is nonbinary, and he was in a typically gender-swapped relationship. I doubt that he has the "toxic masculinity" to care about what gender he happens to jump into other than the inconvenience of what said person happens to be wearing. I'm more bothered by the fact that the Scooby gang keeps trying to force Addison on him when he doesn't want to deal with her. Even she seems to get that giving Ben his space is the smart thing to do. The one thing I am wondering is if this show removed Addison as the hologram because they were worried about the optics of having a white woman advising an Asian man on what to do about the riots. I noticed the participants in specific conversations seemed to be carefully selected.
  19. If you watch the previews and knowing that there are only eight episodes filmed so far and Egypt is the midseason finale. That means the Salem Witch trials is the next episode after this. This means that the Addison Ben breakup lasted two episodes if that, since we hear her talking to him in that episode. Also, he outs himself as a time traveler to Hannah this week.
  20. Naa he didnt play anybody, these couples werent giving the editors anything so his doubts were all they had from anybody to create tension. The paul micah breakup seemingly came out of nowhere since their biggest issue seemed to be whether or not Micah would move You know a show has nothing when one of its major storylines is whether or not a tailor can do her job and fix Brett's loose pants. I was hearing that this was the best season, if thats true, this series must not be good. Its not even trainwreck fun at this point.
  21. The bachelor and bachelorette parties were lame. The women seem to just tolerate each other at this point so they barely interact or at least thats what the editing showed us. Was an interesting kwame family dynamic though its interesting that he didnt tell his dad anything. At this point it looks like its going to be 4 for 4 (despite what the editors are trying to push on us with kwame/chelsea).
  22. This is gonna bug me forever, but whats the point of love being blind if you're allowed to ask questions about height/ ethnicity etc
  23. Marshall's problem is that he's a problem solver, not every problem has to be solved and I can see how that would get old fast ( for example, his forcing a coat on her when she clearly didnt need it). Even though, I might not agree with the way that she ended the relationship, it had to end. One month in and it was toxic as hell. Brett/Tiffany seem to glide along with little to no struggles. The edit is doing them no favors. I get theyre the golden couple, doesnt mean we cant see any struggles Honestly shocked at all the mean girls things said about Micah. She's relatively boring, her relationship with Paul is the leat memorable thing about the show. Zack/Bliss seems so manufactured that its crazy. They're clearly getting married, but Im starting to wonder of its for them, or the online presence such an arrangement would bring. I think Kwame is ultimately cool with moving, he just doesnt want to lose himself, as hes pretty much making all the sacrifices from what we see. Its more about his having his sacrifices acknowledged. A bit sad that the dude has to rely on a pod mate cuz none of his family/friends could come up.
  24. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/george-r-r-martin-wouldve-181929349.html Martin apparently wanted more time jumps
  25. Dany couldnt stop her dragons from eating whatever they want and she probably had more control over her dragons than anybody else in this story. None of Daemon, Rhaenyra or Rhaenys's dragons were ever in the situation that either vhagar or arrax was in so its impossible to say how much control they mightve had in such a situation. I reckon we'll probably learn as the dance continues.
