  1. So, is this shrinking tiny and jumping in someone's ass and blowing them up from the inside a thing from the comics? Like the comics before Avengers Endgame? I don't know the comics, but enjoy the show... but I remember when Endgame was coming out, there were a lot of people joking about the ending should be Antman shrinking small and running up Thanos' butthole and blowing him up from the inside. Just wondering which came first....
  2. They didn't want to leave the great shelter... no way would they have left... I kind of wish they had, and then Jeff tapped like a day later so they'd get stuck out there with nothing.... Amber would have done great by herself in that shelter.
  3. Thanks! I must have been distracted and missed the update on Jeff... The girls were really milking his leaving- "I'm hurting in my soul" blah blah... Jeff was there for what, 9 days maybe? And puking the whole time. They just liked that the validated their complaints about Amber.
  4. I'm surprised Jeff had to go home... and I didn't see any update on how he was doing or did I miss it? Sometimes they tell us that they were in the hospital for x days etc. While Jeff is obnoxious, I hope it wasn't anything serious. He was completely stirring shit with the Amber/Trish stuff though, so I'm glad he had to go. I'm sad that Amber had to walk away from that awesome shelter, but I'm sure the producers pushed her in the direction of better teammates since she didn't even take the pot or anything. Trish was awful this episode and comes across as a real jerk IMO. Amber should have left sooner, they can starve for 10 days and still make it out of there. I'm glad Matt and the other guys got some food, and they're learning/bonding. EJ and Steven also have made some good progress. The time lapse of EJ making the fishing hole was funny. That used to be Waz's camp, right? Did they leave because of the flooding or for a special reason? Just wondering if it will be a losing location for EJ and Steven, or did they just decide Dan's spot/shelter was better?
  5. I was in HS in the late 90s and still had most if not all of the gay classmates I know of hiding it (or not figuring it out) until college/later. In college I had a gay friend, so we would go to some of the LGTB events together, we ran into someone I knew in highschool and I could see the panic on his face in running into me at that kind of event. So I could see the 80s being an even bigger worry!
  6. My thoughts might be colored by just binging the last XL season in between weeks of this one where Amber and her group were doing pretty awesome until she had to medical tap, but Amber doesn't bother me so much... I mean, yes, I can see where she'd be annoying and seem like she's bossing everyone around but I also think the editing is setting it up that way. It seems to me the Trish and Jen are doing mostly useless stuff, wasting time instead of doing things that would help the whole camp... Did they really need a woven door? a fishing net that had too big of holes to catch fish? But of course if Amber gives a direction or suggestion, Trish digs in her heels to be even more obstinate about it. I might have missed some of the water boiling conversation, and I think Jeff is being a total shit stirrer, but wouldn't keeping an eye on the water while weaving your dumb door be a perfect task? Can we not multi task out here? Amber is at least bringing back food, and maybe she's taken too much ownership of that instead of letting someone else go check the lines or something... but would they? If amber said "I'm going to collect fire wood and boil more water, does one of you want to go fishing?" would they be all passive aggressive about it and like have some other new project that was way more important? I need a bedspread for my bed, I'm busy! I will laugh so hard if Jeff goes out with all this vomiting... though I'm sure they'll get him a night in the medic tent first just to give him another chance. The other teams are so much more enjoyable to watch! EJ and Steve are a nice combo and will hopefully keep some of EJ's bullishness under control. How he is seems so dependent on the people he's with. I'm glad no one is solo anymore, it's crazy how fast people dropped out.
  7. Isn't the Jonathan actor sort of a creep, (like arrested for something in between seasons?) I don't like him that much anyway, and he's definitely not better this season... I wish they would cut him from the story.. plus he still looks like he's 45 or something... not just a little old to play highschooler.
  8. When Gail made Jackson stop and tell them who made what dish for the first course... and I assume she was hoping for some actual info on said courses, he pointed at the menu card that was on the table next to her, telling her who made which part on the menu... so they did have menu cards, but again... who knows how much was on them as far as details. Though I'm pretty sure the judges don't have any foods they wouldn't eat/have allergies/sensitivities to need all the details.... but Jackson really screwed up by not explaining the dishes at least a little.
  9. Yes, I assume he wants to atone and be re-accepted into the Covert. He took his helmet off for very specific reasons, not just to take it off willy nilly like Bo Katan and her crew. I don't think he plans to remove it again unless it's a very specific situation.
  10. We've been trying to decide of Danny Trejo telling the baby rancor "don't worry, he'll be back" is an ominous warning that this is some kind of double cross.... or just that Baby rancor now thinks Boba is it's papa.
  11. Ha, just rewatching the 1st season since I clearly missed a lot of stuff after watching the 2nd.... in the dragon episode when Geralt lets slip to Yen that he has a child surprise, he's yelling about how he'd rather feed his child surprise to a bruxa than have her live their kind of life.... And here's our bruxa!
  12. Hailey Dean did sort of get a wrap up with the 3 mysteries last summer (2 summers ago? What is time anymore??) where they figured out the long standing mystery of who had really killed her former fiance. Picture perfect mysteries were just okay for me, though they had been setting up some mystery with the detective dudes "dead" fiance.. I was expecting her to show up at some point, like right when the relationship finally got rolling.... I agree with others that a final wrap up for Martha's Vinyard would be nice.... But really just more mysteries would be nice! I can't do the Teagarden ones since I can't stand CCB.... but I'll take just about anything else.
  13. I assume her comments were meant as protection... if it was all just a wish then she could pretend it wasn't real and they didn't actually feel things for each other, but what she is saying and what is really in her heart may not be the same thing.
  14. I enjoyed this season a lot, it was a fun return to old school CSI and the cast I liked the most... never could get into the other iterations... I would like a 2nd season since this was just 10 episodes.... but I'd be less eager to watch if no Sara and Gil.... and a definitely won't watch if it's not on regular TV...
  15. The sister was super creepy... Clearly they are both deranged, but she definitely portrayed it well. Too bad Hodges had to blow their lead on Wix, and now that he knows they're on to him he is messing with the crime lab.... I hope the other investigative team (I forget if they were like an internal affairs or just a state team?) can use that as more evidence he's the bad guy and trying to cover it up... His shrapnel wound would sure implicate him... The horse mystery was interesting, but I was surprised the CSI lead just assumed the kid was the killer since there might have been a shovel used... it made it even more obvious that he didn't do it.
  16. In the latest episode, Gill seemed focused on the Bones leached of DNA thing, that it told him who knew enough to fake all the evidence etc. Is that supposed to mean something to us? Or something they will tell us later? I don't remember enough details from the past for it to mean anything to me....
  17. Overall it was a fun season, though still frustrating like last season that the bad guy almost always got away with everything and the Locke's plans never worked... until the very last plan.... I'm glad to see the last of dodge and gabe, a new bad guy for next time will change things up a bit (assuming there is another season- i'm not up on the news if this was already picked up) and gabe was getting on my nerves. Still frustrated that they killed off Jackie, at least last season with Ellie we knew there was a chance she'd be back. I'm glad Lucas was able to come back kind of and at least give the kids back some of the keys.... they are really good at losing them... But it would make things too easy if they hung on to things like the anywhere key. Will be interesting to see what happens with mom being able to remember/understand magic. It was sad that she was feeling so isolated and crazy due to the adult forgetting deal. Overall, I enjoyed the season, but probably watched it way too fast.
  18. I can't decide if I want this to be someone we know/have heard of/related to an old case we saw... or if it would be better if they tie it back to a past case, but maybe not one that we know anything about? Then they have more freedom to make it interesting and less chance for plot holes... plus I don't remember enough for some of the call backs :P It's fun seeing Grissom back and following the evidence... I almost forgot about the bug stuff, but right back into it with the blowflies and the spiders.... Looking forward to more episodes.
  19. I assume as others have said that Vampires as a lore don't exist in this world, hence nobody saying, Gee, I think this is a vampire! but also, that means this vampire doesn't have to follow any rules that we normally associate with vampires... They didn't have to be invited inside homes to get the other islanders out to kill them either.... so definitely there are some missing bits of lore... As far as the Pruitt's change of heart, I think it's related to Bev taking things farther than he wanted. It seemed to me that he wanted to share this with people, but wanted them to be willing. Things got way more violent in the church than I think he was planning and then when Bev let everyone out and they ravaged the rest of the people in the town- people who hadn't chosen to be with them.... I think it was too far for him and not what he had planned.
  20. So when Parker was transported in Harry's box of stuff (Loved the they're like portable vents!) she popped out of the box with a stethoscope on... perhaps a nod to ER since it was Harry's stuff? It's fun looking for all of these little easter eggs :P
  21. I'm hoping since Hardison "sent" him, that he's going to get some explanation/ info to know that Mr. Blanche is okay.
  22. I also wouldn't be surprised if Pruitt pushed him to take communion, like even if he said he shouldn't, that Pruitt would be all- nah, it's fine, we're all in this together and you should drink of his blood something or other.... despite not "earning" the privilege of taking communion. though it is weird that they didn't show us that- or maybe the didn't show us on purpose so we could all be surprised when he came back to life and would have this conversation. I assume in this world vampires as a lore don't exist...?? maybe that's why no one is like, dude, it's a vampire!
  23. Just found this show- so I binged all five seasons in the past few weeks… Eliot was the one who paged Kirk Picard to let Harrison know he was ready at door 3 or whatever when the radios stopped working at the airport… so it had to be a little on the nose :)
  24. I'm always excited for new mystery movies, but the last two like "brand new" ones just didn't keep my attention as much as the others. Maybe because it's all new characters? But I feel like the first Mystery 101 or the first Martha's Vineyard Mystery had me interested from the start.... so not sure what the change is with this one and that hotel one. I do think I like thise one better than the reporters at the hotel (sorry! Can't think of what it was called!) Though the partner at the auto shop was suspicious from the start, maybe because they tried too hard to make him not suspicious? Or he's an actor we've seen in other movies and more familiar faces in side roles is always a red flag? But I was waiting for the reveal that he was involved. They tried to set up some red herrings, but then seemed to leave some of it hanging. Did they ever get to the bottom of the sister not giving the mom her medication thing? Was it part of a scam to sell the house? I feel like they just sort of left that part unresolved unless I missed it, or they think it was resolved enough when she wasn't the killer? Hopefully the cast will grow on me more if we get more of this series. At least she is an investigative reporter and has some reason to be researching/looking into things... though I would like another series like the Gourmet Detective where the lady is the detective/police again...
  25. The movies are definitely better than the books…. And don’t have so much of the triangle stuff… I mean it exists but her decision was pretty clear from the beginning and I can’t imagine they are going backwards on the engagement despite still having Norman in the story… I’m assuming the book husband isn’t ever showing up because it would be dumb.
