They believe pride is a sin. I think they don't really know the meaning of the word if conveying pride in another person is bad or wrong. Morons.

There was a report from someone who went to the one in Nashville. She said, and pics confirm, that Benessa were on stage and talked about relationships. LOL They took pre-screened questions from the audience, mostly from seniors and 5 year-olds. They deftly sidestepped the pregnancy question by saying (paraphrasing): "Watch the show." They are nowhere near the show's timeframe to announce M4 gender. Since it was already revealed, I don't think TLC is going to address it until Anna goes for the ultrasound ON THE SHOW (meaning, sometime next fall, rather like what we just saw with Jill). During an episode dedicated to Benessa (and for which they were certainly paid well, given cameras followed them throughout Europe - verified by fans on social media), it can be nothing other than a pregnancy announcement.

The Duggars have a dedicated publicist. Oh, to be a fly on the wall when Blessa takes the stage at her last Southern Women's Show appearance tomorrow. You KNOW that the question will be asked, especially given how TLC is teasing the announcement on Tuesday. It won't be IN the show; it is definitely another commercial break deal, as we saw with Dilly gender reveal way back when, M4, and Mariah announcements.

Wedding is in July. They also joined social media tonight. https://instagram.com/brandon_michael_jn15/ (JN for for John 15, not June) :D

Tori is also at Clown College (at least she was in the fall). It's way late for Spring Break, but too late to be the end of the semester. If Joe came home, I wager he's missing some classes tomorrow, and probably missed some today; JD did not fly to/from TN today (or anytime in recent history). Lawson's buddy on trips always seems to be Carlin, so I'm going with that until we see something different. :)

Jill seemed to be driving him to work during "regular" hours, including showing up for his mid-day lunches on-site. I think he's currently taking family leave. They will be paid well for the birth special; he can afford to take those 12 weeks off, unpaid.

Good question (Lawson's reason for being in AR). But that said, "meeting [Allie Jane] in stages" could also mean "fellowshipping" with Lawson and whatever sibling was his accountability partner on this trip (usually Carlin). That's just two. I'm just flummoxed that they met the Leader of Siblings before their own flesh and blood. And Jill, what is it with the 10 day old in those shoes when you can't be bothered to wear them yourself? kthxbai! :D

So, Lawson Bates has time to schmooze with Izzy and his parents, but can't hightail it down to Florida to meet his niece who was born 5 days ago? Whaaaaaa????? https://instagram.com/p/1j9i6HvfdF/

When did she say this? I ask because on their blog, she wrote that she doesn't plan on continuing her studies, or practicing midwifery, as long as she has little kids. This was just a few weeks ago when the blog went live, so I think it's her current POV.

The 40 minutes to the hospital bit bothers me. There's a hospital five minutes from the McMansion. Why on earth didn't they find a doctor who practices there?

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
Sew Sumi replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
It took me about 24 hours after first seeing Marjorie in action, but it finally dawned on me who she reminds me of. If any of you are familiar with celeb chef Rick Bayless and his cooking shows, his daughter Lanie, who is now about 24, often appears. She has the exact same voice and presentation that MJ (Josiah's name for her) has. Google some episodes of Mexico, One Plate at a Time and check Lanie out in action. They even look a bit alike, although Lainey is much taller. That said, the personas, down to voice tone and inflection, is uncanny, down to their over-acting BEYOND the last row of the audience. :D (edited because there is apparently more than one way to spell what I thought was "Lainey.") :D -
I doubt AR has a state exchange, so I have no idea how the independently employed (such as Binjermin claims to be) get coverage. But yes, the babies, once born, can be claimed on either parent's plan, as long as those plans aren't connected to their parents. Ben may still well be covered on HIS parents' plan, if they have one that's NOT named Samaritan. Samaritan, for those who don't know, is an insurance pay-in hosted by Christians. They have very strict lifestyle rules regarding who can be "insured," and vote on what claims to pay. Sadly, if you get on someone's bad side, they may decide not to pay your childbirth expenses. But that's Samaritan. Bleech.

A couple of quick pics: https://instagram.com/p/1hGmADsbjE/?taken-by=thebatesfam eta: Found the UP photo gallery: http://www.uptv.com/bates/gallery/michaela-gets-engaged

The latest People article indicates that she WAS given Pitocin. eta: it also indicates that she says water broke early on 4/4, a day before she took her 41w5d pic. So she was in active labor and they stopped to take a picture before she went to the hospital ? What???? Did they take this at midnight then leave? I'm a bit confused. http://www.people.com/article/jill-duggar-dillard-scared-praying-during-labor-baby-israel-david-dillard

If she was pregnant during that photoshoot (done Feb 6th or thereabouts), they probably just found out for Jessa to look so small now. She'd be what, 13-ish weeks now with that scenario? I know everyone carries differently, but man, Jilly Muffin was sporting more than what could pass for a food baby or PMS bloat by then. I agree she's knocked up (have been sure of it for the past month), but not quite so far along. That said, Anna didn't announce M4 until she was 12 weeks gone, and she hid Marcus behind what had been her existing pre-pregnancy weight for months before announcing. Of course, Jessa won't be able to hide much longer because she's so slender. That could well be her 12-weekaversary look. If so, honeymoon's over for those two. I just don't see her as decent mother material. Hateful views aside, I think Binjermin will be the better parent, by far.

And there's ANOTHER very special announcement next week. I imagine they can't put off the Benessa pregnancy any longer.

Right. According to People, she labored 50 more hours at the HOSPITAL without intervention? Do they even allow that? Again, note that the People article only noted two days of labor; she could have started anytime on Sunday to make the 41w5d accurate. That's not 70 hours, which is why I think she didn't really have anywhere near that amount of hard labor. Sorry People. You're busted. :D

Fact. Scott Fedosky is the doctor, and his license was revoked sometime in 2012, late in the year, IIRC. His wife was the doula "Miss Theresa" who oversaw Anna's first two births, as well as led JB/Mechelle's "cervix softening" Bradely class. I think she stopped practicing once he lost his license; her "office" was housed in his own offices. As for Jill, I imagine that 70-hour number was padded by some early Braxton Hicks action. Remember, it's her word vs...nothing. The hospital can't comment without her consent, and you know that she will never give it. That said, I totally agree that she showed poor judgment and put both her life, as well as that of her baby's, at risk. Also, even according to the article, from the time her water broke at 41w5d to when she delivered at 41w6d, the math doesn't add up. Also, she didn't have strep b testing until AFTER her water broke? Shouldn't she have had that test done weeks before? Can lay midwives give IVs for ANYTHING? I thought that was beyond the scope of non-invasive care of a "regular" pregnancy. Help me to learn here! I also doubt the baby moved. How could it when there was no room? It looked low and wide for the last couple of weeks; I think Izzy had been parked like that for a while.

Wasn't me. I've been here forever, and I think everyone does a great job of respecting values that they may not hold. Also know that talking about religion is not a personal attack. If you're reading a Duggar thread, religion is going to be discussed. A lot. Calling one's views idiotic is not the same as calling a person an idiot. Message boards can be tricky like that. Let's talk about the Duggars and their foray into Christian Zionism (ie. Israel David). :D
