Yeah love how she's backing off of -- we're done, that's it, OMG I can't be pregnant again -- to now -- oh we'll see in 2 years. Yeah right. She's going to be pregnant again by the time this one is 6-9 months old, having another child in 15-18 months after this one. I really think it's the I NEED a boy problem. Which seems like it's more a problem for her than for John. And if child no. 5 isn't a boy, they'll try for child no. 6. If either 5 or 6 IS a boy, then it'll be -- well he NEEDS a brother. Best case scenario, kid nos. 5 and 6 are both boys and they are done.

The sister pregnancy race continues. Tori is expecting her third. IDK exactly how old her kids are now but I think they're prob only 9-12 months apart. Isn't she too lazy for 3 kids in roughly 3 years?? This one is a girl who'll be ~14-15 months younger than the last kid due June 2021. Kind of blows me away that these people will have given birth not just ONCE but TWICE during the same pandemic?? Their 2nd kid was born at the start of the pandemic so prob March-Apr 2020 bc they made a big deal about how her 37 sisters couldn't be there and Bobby went on about how nice the anesthesiologist was because he held up the phone during the pushing phase so she could talk to her sisters!? IDK how one does that but in this family maybe you don't push, the baby just crawls out. If this one is due in June 2021, fingers crossed things are better as more and more people are vaccinated and we'll be into hotter temperatures by then, but things may not be so normal yet in hospitals that they'll allow you to bring your 37 relatives to your birth. Maybe this is Bobby's planning -- have as many kids as possible while the world is closed and win win, you don't have to deal with your inlaws at the hospital/in the days immediately after; you know Kelton is telling him this given that he hates his inlaws. I'm guessing they're hoping Kelton/Josie also have a girl bc being born in the same month -- built in cousin besties, which gives Bobby and Kelton MORE reason to hang out together even outside of work.

Josie and Kelton: They Have Employable Skills
cereality replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
Though I guess that explains why they’re so freely out and about now. Lots of IG videos showing their Saturday coffee dates, sitting indoors, unmasked with other patrons at nearby tables also sitting unmasked. I guess they figure we’ve had it — shrug. I’ve read the vaccine has no correlation with miscarriages but Covid itself does/can; I feel like generally drs. are very cautious of pregnant women getting fevers especially early on as it can affect the child. -
Josie and Kelton: They Have Employable Skills
cereality replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
Pregnant again and due in June. They go on about how devastating their miscarriage was in August and they're soooo grateful for this rainbow baby. Uh you got pregnant like 1-2 months after the miscarriage. You act like you've been trying for one child for 10 years?? I feel like if any of these girls were Michaela they would have offed themselves by now. I guess no time to enjoy the apple of their eye Willow now -- as she'll have a sibling by age 2 and probably another by age 3, 4, etc. Josie and Kelton seem to like the finer things. I realize he's a plumber that makes money but honestly can he have the lifestyle he wants with 10 kids? Because his 21 year old wife is on baby number 2 -- they have YEARS of child bearing left. -
Carlin and Evan: But Mostly Carlin!
cereality replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
How desperate are Carlin and Evan for vlog topics? They posted an IG question saying tell us your assumptions about us and we'll explain them away. Uh do you WANT people to be mean to you? Well my assumption is that you 2 have not one ounce of critical thinking between you; you blindly follow church because God; you have no curiosities; can never conceive living away from Tennessee to get your own life experience because MOMMY and DADDY (both Bates and Stewarts); and you'll raise your own daughter and all future kids that way. So go ahead -- tell me how I'm wrong and all the degrees you're prepping to attain and all the travel you are planning/saving for? -
Zach and Whitney: The Constable and the Carhop
cereality replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Bringing Up Bates
May not have been planned but I doubt they actively prevented either. When 2 young healthy people - where mom isn’t even 30 yet - are having sex and not actively doing anything at preventing conception, isn’t a baby eventually going to be made? For Z’s sake as I think he probably wants fewer kids but probably not to the point where he’d deny W more kids, hope this next ones a boy. I know they’ve already got one boy but we’ve heard Chad say more than once that Carson needs a brother and that it isn’t good for Carson to just be with girls all the time. So likely this cult agrees — which means W has bought into that — and they probably fear a boy growing up with just sisters could end up gay. If this next one is a boy, I could see the baby train ending with 4-5 kids. If the next is a girl, well they’ll keep going and that’s how you could end up w 7+ kids if you get a bunch of girls in a row. -
Zach and Whitney: The Constable and the Carhop
cereality replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Bringing Up Bates
I think Zach probably prefers as few kids as possible -- I think he would've been fine with 2 or just ended it with the 3rd they had. He clearly likes nice things -- like a nice house that is comfortable. I'm fairly sure as the oldest he remembers what it was like living with 21 people (or maybe it was like 17 or whatever if the youngest kids hadn't been born yet) in a shack and meals being stretched to feed everyone. I also think once his first relationship fell apart despite doing everything mommy and daddy always preached and he realized - hmm this fell apart bc I'm a grown man whose been raised by mommy and daddy never to speak to a girl and suddenly here I was engaged (courting?) with nothing to say to this girl, that's not a man; once that relationship fell apart and he went about on his own meeting Whit, I think he realized G&K are full of shit on most things -- including having a baby per yr for the next 20 yrs. BUT I think Whit has tried SOOO hard to get in good with Kelly and to be besties with Erin, Tori, and Carlin that SHE is the one who has MIL and sisters in law in her ear re OMG as many babies as possible. If it was at all known or even hinted that she and Zach would be ok with 2 or 3 kids -- and hence would use birth control for the rest of her childbearing years -- you KNOW Kelly not so subtly "hinted" that maybe they had that miscarriage bc God was angered that they are even talking birth control or 2 or 3 kids or limited family size or whatever. If Kelly has been mean enough to suggest that - and I think that woman is def mean just with a smile on her face and a chipper southern twang, you can believe that Whit - in her desperation to fit in with the family - has been all over Zach re more kids. Now ultimately I don't think this lasts forever as I STILL don't see Zach being interested in 10 kids, but I can see him having 5-7 -- i.e. more kids than he'd want. It's interesting that Alyssa -- who is similar to Zach in wanting order and nice things -- is openly saying this 4th kid is very likely their last. I have to imagine Kelly is in her ear too about how that's wrong, how God decides, look God healed your heart issues and allowed you to have more babies and you're looking to stop etc. Yet I think Alyssa has no problem telling her mother to shove it. She may not say it but I think she'd let it go in one ear, out the other and do what she and John wanted. Alyssa clearly demonstrates wanting to step back from the family, while Whit demonstrates a desperation to be part of it. -
Sounds like Z&W, Erin, Carlin and Evan have had it. Maybe others -- don't know. Carlin & Evan seem to be heading to his inlaws as he has said that he can't wait to celebrate with his mom. Evan has said that when he tested positive some of his sisters did as well and just last week his brother said he has it and is in quarantine. Maybe that'll be over by Thanksgiving? The hard part with this is I'm sure some people have had it but some haven't -- by continuing to mix and mingle, isn't there a chance that those who haven't had it get exposed?? Like say Alyssa hasn't had it -- she's pregnant with a (now fixed) heart issue, is it a good idea to be with her?! And it looks like it's the whole clan (minus those going to inlaws) in Fla bc Trace posted an IG video with Jeb or Jud so the younger kids have arrived. Looks like they rented an AirBnB with a pool but clearly A&J will be hanging out there bc Trace was carrying one of Alyssa's kids around asking if she wanted to go swimming.

They're dreaming about the smiles and giggles that'll soon fill their home? Uh idiots you have 3 kids under the age of 6 including a freaking ONE year old. They act like they are childfree at age 45 and are sooooo blessed to be able to have one finally. And I like Z&W relative to the rest of this family . . . . -
So was the engagement party tonight or is she posting old pics? I’m guessing old pics or they sent Justin to go live with some other fam and only sent him one shirt. Glad to see JB, Michelle, Jana, JD and his wife and some brother who is a peer of Justin (Jason? James?) made it to the party so it didn’t completely seem like JB & M have handed a kid over to some other parents to finish raising.

See this is the negative of convincing all your kids and all their sweeties that they MUST LIVE in Rocky Top, when you want to go away for a holiday there's no place to go. Though these people are quick to rent beach houses in the off season in random towns, go do that. I mean I think that's preferable to showing up in the middle of the pandemic at the home of your 1 out of town kid who is pregnant with a heart condition or to the home of your age 75+ parents/inlaws with your entire brood that's undoubtedly been working, shopping, take the kids places for fun etc.

So looks like Thanksgiving will be spent at Alyssa's at least for some part of the Bates clan. G&K posted a picture of going to church w Alyssa and John on the weekend so I figured maybe a pre Thanksgiving visit. And now Law and Trace posted a video of flying town to Fla and saying they'll be with Alyssa for the week. Though it's possible that it's Law and Trace with the Websters for Thanksgiving and G&K come back -- bc what exactly are they doing with Callie/Jud/Jeb/Jackson/Warden/Isiah?? Unless those minor kids have been farmed off to Michaela for Thanksgiving. Or unless EVERYONE is driving down? While it's possible that Law and Trace flew the parents down this weekend and flying themselves down now, I don't think their jalopy planes can take a 30+ person clan. Guess they're ok with meeting up during a pandemic. I mean can't fault them -- look how many people are traveling. Though IDK if ALYSSA is the right choice here -- didn't she have a cardiac procedure last year + is pregnant!?

Likely because J&M actually spoke to the older sons from time to time so they had all that headship garbage in their heads; when they looked for wives you know they were looking for situations where they could be easily accepted as the MAN who'll LEAD a woman who needs his leadership; that's easier with a younger sister in this cult bc she's already used to being told what to do by her 5 or 12 or whatever older siblings. She isn't used to having her own opinions or ever getting her way or having her wants fulfilled. The younger boys OTOH were barely raised. They just got older -- I suppose they were sort of raised by Jana/Jill/Jinger -- so chances are those girls weren't putting headship ideas or frankly any ideas in their brothers' heads -- they were just feeding, bathing and doing the chores for them, not imparting "values" etc. And those younger boys turned out to have no life skills at all -- since no one raised them. So yeah I think when they think marriage, they realize it'd be easier to have a woman that's like the sister moms that raised them; that's all they know about a woman's role and frankly you know they're thinking at least she'll be able to feed me, shop for my food, wash my underwear, make my bed, clean the house bc I know she knows how to do that as the oldest girl in her family -- I mean look how well Jana knows how to do that, this oldest girl in her fam probably does as well.

The Lonely Bates Club: Still Looking for Love
cereality replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
Love how Law and Trace have been posting videos/pics for days re voting to protect their 1st and 2nd amendment rights, value of human life, religious liberties. They're a conservative family, I get it. They can vote for who they want. Yet I laugh when they go on about principles and constitution. Obviously they are old enough now to repeat talking points, but how much history and constitution did Kelly Jo really teach them around that dining room table? Like can they tell you the substance of any other amendment besides 1 and 2? Can they tell you anything about Patrick Henry or the Revolutionary War or the Emancipation Proclamation? -
Carlin and Evan: But Mostly Carlin!
cereality replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
And have they forgotten the PANDEMIC?? I suppose it doesn't matter now because they've had it but has every single person they constantly visit had it?? How about freaking Layla you know with the heart condition?? She didn't test positive earlier -- so shouldn't they REALLY breathe a sigh of relief she didn't catch it and REALLY hunker down now? But no mommy has to fly to visit her bestie AGAIN and there she is in Joy's house -- Layla and Gideon sharing food and smacking each others hands in the other's face (like kids are apt to do), Austin has been working God knows where surrounded by whom. Joy has probably been around her giant family at some point. And of course Evan couldn't just stay home, he went to Nashville because wifey was out of town so there he is with the 20 members of his family!? And all of this comes after last week's trip with Evan's family to Orlando. They posted an IG video of stopping at Target to buy masks because they were "required." The only masked pics of them were they day they were at Animal Kingdom -- because I suspect Disney requires it. And then there were all these videos of them at those sketchy road side carnivals that pop up along International Drive etc. where they are maskless with carnival employees standing right over them -- also maskless -- buckling them in etc. -
Erin and Chad: Fifty Shades of Pink
cereality replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Bringing Up Bates
I feel bad for her genuinely but is this family EVER going to stop traveling or gathering? IDK that Erin and Chad traveled because they really don't travel much to begin with but she's def posted pics where Chad is out working and he works with Trace/Warden/Jackson/Isiah -- and oh look Trace/Warden/Jackson/Isiah went on vacation with mom and dad to Florida over the summer. Or she's with Carlin in the "boutique" shed and Carlin and Evan NEVER stopped traveling. In fact just this weekend she took a flight to Arkansas AGAIN visiting Joy Duggar and he is in Nashville AGAIN with his family; this comes a week after they went to Orlando with his family and a few weeks before that there was ANOTHER flight to Arkansas and they go to Nashville to see his family practically ever weekend and while there it's always pics at Top Golf etc. Even in Orlando, they posted pics -- literally one masked pic which I suspect was the day they went to Disney since the Disney parks are requiring it, but the rest of the time -- they were at those sketchy carnival attractions that are on International Drive etc. -- no masks, neither them nor the workers standing right by them getting them buckled into those carnival rides. Evan and Carlin can do what they want but then they come back and they ALL gather -- Evan plays some ball game with Jackson/Warden/Isiah and then J/W/I go work with Chad etc. And then early on there were pics of Carson going with Bradley to wherever Zach&Whit took Bradley for his birthday. I get it -- often people let their kid invite their bestie on a birthday outing but there is a PANDEMIC?!? Now Bradley is hanging with Z&W and oh yeah Z works as a cop so he's all over town; though I guess that doesn't matter as much if Erin is already seeing Whit in the boutique shed. I guess with a family that's so big, local and SO intertwined it is hard to separate -- but my God just have the working guys continue working together and other than that DON'T socialize esp when the people you socialize with are traveling all over. -
Good for Jill. I haven't followed at all in recent years but it seems like Jill and Derick are going fundie lite, no? Pants, he's going to law school, an alcoholic drink once in a while, and birth control so they'll likely end up with 3-4 kids not 15 kids. It had to happen -- she married a guy who was conservative but not fundie like her family. She wasn't going to change him and make him a Duggar man living on a tow truck driver's income with 15 kids. I predict Jinger and Jeremy are on the same road as they are doing their own thing in California, Jeremy spent time in the secular world, went to college etc. and likely doesn't see it as normal to breed like rabbits. I imagine they are already drinking and using condoms but just aren't being open about it because they are still on the show, need the show's income and while I don't think TLC would mind showcasing some honesty and having storylines about how the siblings went their separate ways post-marriage, you know JB would kick them off the show. On the Bates side, I totally see Kelton and Josie being this way and possibly Bobby and Tori simply bc Bobby wants to live exactly how bff Kelton lives. And Zach and Whit while maybe not as "progressive" are def going fundie lite as well with 3 kids in 5 years and I wouldn't be surprised if they're done now or after blessing number 4.

No way to know for sure but my impression has always been that Evan's family -- like Evan -- have the showmanship thing. Don't they have (or used to have?) some kind of music group that went church to church to sing? So I think they like attention. You even see it in their weekly YT videos, his brother is on them A LOT and a few of the older sisters and his mom/dad are on a fair bit too. If they minded, they could easily opt out of those as that doesn't affect E&C's earnings -- they can make YT videos and make $ of those whether his older sister or mom was in them or not. Michael Balka -- IDK I don't think he minds the cameras but IDK if he's jumping to be on camera either. With him I wonder if it's a realization that his son has married into an annoying, loud, overbearing family that is also local so if he wants time with his son and DIL and esp his granddaughter, he needs to just TAKE that time. Like if he shows too much reluctance re -- oh the cameras are going to be at Willow's birthday hmm IDK -- he'll be cut out of the picture quickly and the Bates will gladly use up all of that extra time with Willow. Now reality is I don't think that'll happen because Kelton hates his inlaws and let's be honest Josie isn't too crazy about mom and dad and 37 siblings either, so I think they actually like the calmer time with Michael Balka so I don't think they're about to cut him out; but I do wonder if he's jumped on board just out of fear of losing his son and granddaughter. The Smiths -- they couldn't even hide their disdain for Tori and her annoying parents during the courting, nagging their son to move to a trailer in Rocky Top, begging Bobby for a ring, begging him for the ring even more the day she knew he was proposing, and then stopping the wedding with her giggles. I mean right after the ceremony all his parents could say was "well he got hitched" -- the way you'd say about some stranger or distant coworkers wedding. Sure I'm sure some of it is not being comfortable on camera but some of it is not liking his wife/her overbearing family and feeling like they lost their spineless son to her family as he took about 2 seconds to agree to settle near her family. I realize B&T are the least social media involved but IDK if they even go down to Fla all that much. I think I've legit seen one picture of them with the older kid with his parents in Fla. Bobby is spineless compared to Kelton. Kelton would straight up refuse to not see his dad, not have him at his kid's birthday, not call him when he's doing home renos etc. Bobby -- eh well they live far away so whatever. They're also dumb. His parents live in a beautiful home with a pool and I believe are close to a beach. Why the heck aren't they going down there on at least 2-3 winter trips yearly to get some Fla sunshine, let his parents hang with the grandsons etc. -- whom I'm sure they'd babysit and interact with, not just hand them off to a sibling walking by.

Watching their gender reveal and the Q&A they did the prior week, wow John really isn't into the baby train. At the gender reveal he had like no reaction. It didn't look like disappointment about another girl but just a -- yeah a baby, that's nice -- type of reaction. And in the Q&A, he's personable and funny but you can tell he really doesn't WANT that many (or any) more. I really don't think that having a boy is so important to him that he'd want to have 5, 6, 7 etc. kids just to get 2 boys (because fundies are never ok with just one son -- he needs a brother, see Chad). In the gender reveal he said his older brother has 3 girls and then had a boy; I think he realizes it is possible to end up with 5, 6 etc. girls in a row. And in the Q&A he said more than once he doesn't care if it's not a boy; he joked that a boy would be great because he'd have a ball player but he has girl ball players now; and then also said a girl would be so convenient because they have all girl stuff. And when Alyssa was talking about nursing vs. formula, he did say something about how formula gets expensive. They also talked about how if they stay in the current house and buy it, they need to add on to the house; or they need to buy another house. So yeah I think he's being pragmatic and doesn't want the Chad & Erin life of a baby yearly with a 9 person family stuffed in a cottage. I think he'll be a much happier person with just 4 daughters and a reasonably good standard of living. Alyssa OTOH while she said in the Q&A that this 4th kid was "probably" the last, she's been sicker with each pregnancy so she doesn't know if she can have another etc., IDK it sounded like BS. Because she kept coming back to how when they got married, John said she could decide how many she wanted and he said he'd provide no matter how many + she kept coming back to how she always said 6. I think this is a woman who'll stick by her word -- I see no less than 6 for them. More if 6 yields no boys or only yields 1 boy in need of a brother. I hope John's family's HVAC co is doing well because he'll need more income as the years go by.

Carlin and Evan: But Mostly Carlin!
cereality replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
And they were back in Nashville yet again this weekend as Evan’s bro posted IG videos of him, Evan and their brothers in law at Top Golf and Carlin later posted videos of driving back on Sunday night. Damn they’re really enjoying being able to go to his parents bc they know they can dump off Layla for the weekend and go have fun with little worry. They simply don’t get that w G&K who wouldn’t personally babysit; at most they’d oversee a sister who was babysitting and the only choices now are like Addie or Ellie since Katie is too busy pining over Travis, the rest have boatloads of their own kids and aren’t taking Carlin’s on the weekend, and I’m guessing Michael has drawn some kind of line which suggests she’ll only take Layla every so often or else we’d surely see her at M&Bs house every weekend. -
I think we've all said on here that Bobby looks miserable in his marriage -- by now the novelty of sex is gone and he's realized Tori is just whiny and annoying. Well it was nice to see him happy for once. He seems to really love his kids and I guess that's what keeps him going in his home life. Hope Kelton's business takes off and pays him well and they have a ton of kids. He's only one of 3 kids though and he's 25, so if they were to only have 3, they'd all be 20-ish and likely off finding their own spouses before Bobby was even 50 -- leaving him a LOT of time with a wife he doesn't really like. I'm guessing living near the Bates under fundie influence, they'll have more than 3 though I don't see more than 5-6 simply bc I think that's how many bestie Kelton would have maximum to still preserve a nice lifestyle and he tries to be very lockstep with Kelton. I don't see Kelton with 6 in a nice McMansion and Bobby with 12 stuffed into a house clipping coupons and trying to make ends meet. His wife is still annoying though. I mean ok your 37 sisters and sisters in law can't be at your delivery. So what?? How about for this one birth make it about you and your HUSBAND and you can look back at that birth as being for US, not for 37 other family members? Your mommy will survive. And yeah Kelly a baby CAN be born even if you aren't staring at your daughter's crotch and Gil isn't pressing his ear up against the delivery room door. It was nice to see Michaela during the birth though. That was a look for pure joy. She truly does love babies/kids just for the sake of loving them not because it's a status thing in fundie world. I mean you'd think for someone whose been trying for so long and not been successful, you think even 1% of her would be sad or pissed that Tori who is a whiner or Carlin who just dumps off her 6 mo old to anyone who'll take her can have babies so easily. Yet she had none of that look watching the birth. Frankly this time around she could've easily played the -- oops my wifi cut out or sorry I have a class -- totally plausible given the 4:15 in the afternoon birth -- just so she wouldn't have to subject herself to it.

Carlin and Evan: But Mostly Carlin!
cereality replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
Plus after the whirlwind of attention @RebeccatheWriter mentions -- everything from Evan writing songs to ask her to court and then again for engagement, whisking her off to Maine for the engagement, wedding planning and dress shopping where she was for once the center of attention, dance lessons with dad, showers, wedding, and then the honeymoon in the DR followed by another trip that summer to Charleston, you know when they finally got home and settled into their cottage -- they BOTH missed the non stop attention. So they compensated with the weekly YT videos etc. But what gets non stop attention in fundie culture? Pregnancy -- where people are constantly cooing over you and asking how you feel plus that comes with another round of showers; and then the attention continues for the first year or so while the kid is cute and not running like an annoying big kid yet -- bc you tote them around like a Gucci bag. As annoying as they are as parents, you'd think Layla has been around for years but it's only been 8 freaking mos. Carlin has already made noise about how she'd have a dozen. Uh you both can't handle the ONE you have unless she's looking perfectly cute and happy to take IG pics with. Otherwise you pawn her off on your inlaws for weekends -- like at least 3 times in one summer?! You let it be known if she's fussy or has a cold or had a sleepless night as if these things were unheard of. In one video you went on and on about how you feel like you live at the pediatricians office because you've been there weekly for 3 weeks -- uh yeah C&E that's what parents do. Yet reality is in that clan you only get attention for the first 6 mos or so of the baby's life. May be longer with Layla because everyone is worried about her heart condition -- so say it's more like 1 yr. By this Thanksgiving and Christmas the attention will start to wane esp when pregnant-after-heart-procedures Alyssa shows up 6-7 mos pregnant and everyone is cooing over her and even moreso if it turns out she's having a boy finally. So yeah I wouldn't be surprised if these 2 get knocked up by Nov, which incidentally is perfect timing for announcing at the end of Jan 2021 at Layla's 1st birthday party, and there's a new Stewart by this time next year. -
Carlin and Evan: But Mostly Carlin!
cereality replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
That video comes across like they're playing it both ways. To People they had already said that Layla was "visiting family" when mom even became symptomatic so she wasn't in any danger from Carlin's symptoms; and in the video Evan is sitting in his parents' driveway saying he was coming to Nashville anyway to stay the weekend and "visit Layla" (WTF -- does she live in Nashville now??). Yet to play the poor heartbroken new parents without their baby -- cue Evan going on about I've missed Layla soooo much, it's already been a week; and cue Carlin arriving to touch Layla's hands thru the glass . . . . Uh morons she was going to be away this week ANYWAY because you sent her away, remember?? And didn't Evan have to get tested earlier this summer because someone at his work tested positive and while he told Carlin that news from his car 6 ft away, when he got home from testing (which was NOT a rapid test so he didn't know he was negative), he walked straight into the house? He told Carlin then that the nurse said he didn't need to separate from wife/baby bc he's already been with them for days so if he's pre symptomatic but positive, he's exposed them already? Why didn't that advice apply here? Why rent some unsuspecting person's AirBnB and have Carlin living there for days (I suspect that's what the "other house" was)? If she had been around Evan for days leading up, then why separate at all. I get why they thought they should leave Layla with the inlaws since she hadn't been around her mother in days -- I mean if you're the type who'll send your breastfeeding infant away to a house that reminded me of a clown car. Out of that house we saw TWO of Evan's sisters come out and a slew of nieces and nephews. Uh it's a PANDEMIC -- must everyone be visiting everyone non stop?? And then cue drama queen Evan -- omg what do I do BY MYSELF for 24 hours. Uh you have a car -- you can sit, listen to the radio (and dad can leave you a gas can if you run out of gas doing this), dad can also probably run extension cords from the side of the house to you and you can plug in a laptop, you can sleep/text etc. But no we need drama llama shots of sad lonely Evan hitting golf balls and playing spike ball alone . . . . And then genius decides, hey let's kill time by driving 6 hrs round trip to go get his uncomfortable symptomatic wife . . . . Uh if she isn't feeling well, does she really want to sit in a car for the 14 or so hours left including sleeping in the car overnight rather than in bed? And given that she isn't feeling well, brushing teeth and washing her face with a hose is THAT important for her nighttime ritual? You think she'd be like whatever -- if the pores are dirty for one night, then they are; if that leads to acne, oh well I'll deal with it later when I'm WELL. -
Carlin and Evan: But Mostly Carlin!
cereality replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
So Carlin posted an IG story gushing about how great it is to have Layla back and the 3 of them are together again. Uh -- where the hell was she?? She had said in People that she had been in Nashville but when there were positives in Evan's family there, they brought her home. Ok so who did they farm her out to next?? I get it they were sick and needed childcare help -- but did they just drop off a kid who had been exposed at the Bates house or with Michaela?? Fortunately the kid has tested negative but she's been around a lot of people -- between her parents, Evan's entire family etc. -- and now we're just subjecting more people to her??
