OMG! I love Huell Howser! The avocado episode is my favorite. Haven’t listened to the Adam Carola podcast in a while, but I used to live Dana Gould impersonating him and them breaking down each episode! Okay OT, Shannon needs to sell the ring, buy a new one, a “mom” ring, and buy Archie toys with the rest. I’m over beige and travertine with this crew, but I could go for pampered dog furnishings porn.

Karen and Cas are assholes. If I were Beverly, I’d call the insurance company myself and ask them what they needed. Maybe when you sign up, but I don’t see why Karen has to keep it. I hope Beverly can become fully independent soon. Oh and how are implants just thrown in? You can’t afford to eat or fly to your family but implants?

Chantel needs to share her issues with Pedro with a girlfriend, a therapist, a diary, or keep it to herself. I agree that she’s not helping things by constantly running to her ignorant family with these issues. She also needs to be assertive but not childish when she’s arguing with Pedro. None of this “I said good day!” and running away BS. She could’ve easily explained her very valid point about Nicole being ungrateful to sleep on the couch or Pedro’s spending their money without discussion without screaming and running off. I also don’t get why one would wear club wear to class-the purple slit up to there dress.

I kept thinking, “when did she have time to find her Coach bag?” I would expect more of a futuristic type of messenger back or something of a Wild West postal bag, but granny’s pocketbook? Future memory storage always has me at a loss too. Star Wars had a huge disc, Westworld has trackballs. With so much being done using the force or transmitting telepathically, you’d think technology would be further along.

I’m voting for Vic’s mom for the win. If everyone is annoying, I appreciated her overt passive aggression the most. Maybe since I don’t leave my little 20 mile radius of LA often, I tend to miss many wackadoo trends, but I could get behind baby goat yoga if I don’t have to do yoga and they just walk on you, don’t have fleas, and don’t poop. I guess I have that with my dogs already. I’m inventing corgi yoga. Should these two be in the bathroom together? I can do without the Dangerous Minds references. I don’t want to spend a season watching Noah saving “disadvantaged” youth. I really didn’t miss Team Montauk.

To me, I think her representation is accurate. At my heaviest, 327, I was about Plum’s size. Depends on how a person carries their weight, their height, etc. Chrissy Metz is more of an apple shape, so she carries her weight differently and it looks more pronounced in certain areas. Just like counting people’s money, I don’t want to get into counting lbs, but I think Chrissy is probably over 300. Again, I am only saying this out of my opinion on accuracy in portrayal, not fat-shaming. I like the themes of the show around Plum’s weight. Yes, they are exaggerated because the writers have to hit us over the head, but they do resonate. Definitely, the pretty face and here’s some unsolicited advice and the weight counseling parts. I find Ma Kettle’s character interesting. Usually, I’d expect to see flashbacks of the mother figure putting Plum on her first diet as a child, but not the well-meaning yet tone-deaf variety. I’m curious to see everyone’s motives develop, especially Verena’s. I’m in for now, but this can definitely go sideways quickly if there’s too much focus on The Jennifers and goes too cops and robbery or gets too Ugly Betty or Drop Dead Diva cutesy.

You’re a good person...I’m not. Seriously, I think there’s something delayed or not quite right with Nicole. Like there’s some trauma or something so her family gives her a pass and cleans up her messes (except that ONE ROOM because damn that’s some repugnant shit, I mean is there no shame at all? Your mess is on tv, which is in more ways than one). Given that her siblings seem so much more with it, it’s hard to believe that more wouldn’t have been required of her from her parents. She just gives me shades of Danielle.

It’s stupid but didn’t Hassan say first season part of the reason Nicole is sending him money is because she got him fired from his job at the gym or wherever he was working because she kept calling him during his shift. Although I’m sure there are other gyms, hotels, whatever. Ramon is priceless...what headshop/medical marijuana line did they pull him out of?

“Q” also means “questioning” as in undecided or deciding but not labeling. I love the good and bad acting. I need to go back and watch Paris is Burning again. It’s been a long time. With all the potential plot points you all bring up, that leaves me at “c”...curious. I want to slap JVD so I guess he’s doing a good job.

Has Nicole not learned anything about customs or culture? Plus, has she even confirmed any wedding details? I feel like there’s a lot of assuming happening on her part. Her mom is just dumb for playing along. I don’t feel sorry for Anfisa or Annie. They’ll be fine when they open their Sugarbabies accounts. Maybe they can go into business with Pedro. Molly, Luis is begging you to kick him out. Stop flapping your gums about the right thing to do and do it.

This is why I liked it too and didn’t mind the acting. I liked the amateurish Fame feel. I used to watch every week in my electric blue leg warmers. I played cello because of Lori Singer (and my teacher said my mitts were too big for violin). I’m in!

Hassan is totally catfishing Nichole. You know he sent that email. If he does get there, is everyone sleeping in the same room? No way Molly should leave that child with a stranger. Grandpa, uncle sure but not your boy toy. WTH is she thinking? You cannot just add visa and make instant dad. I hope family Pedro is trying to harvest Chantel. Would make their story more interesting.

I am enjoying this cast a lot more than the other Southern Charms. I like that it’s not a single ethnicity franchise. I watch the others but Charleston always makes me feel a little dirty like there’s something hanging in the background when they talk about their established families and Gentry and such because I can’t help but think about the history. I’m glad Jon wore a shirt and pants that weren’t too tight to the party. I hated the ripped up leggings the other woman was wearing when they were looking at the venue. I’ll be so happy when we can get back to non-skinny cut and natural fibers. I think Gian just has a lot of face and weave or not, she would still have a lot of face. That said, she has every right to pull out of dealings with Barry if she thinks Tamica is a loose cannon (which she is...you can’t just say whatever you want to people whenever you want). Can’t wait to see Kelsey speak up next week. I hope she and Justin work out.
