  1. I did appretiatie how Heather talked to Vicki about Brooks and taking a diffent angle on his cancer treatment--that she was concerned Brooks may be getting duped by his Dr.'s w/current treatment plan and that everybody only wants the best for him.. I know in the end it's a rich people's problem, but building a multi-million dollar very large hse is a job with the stress of making countless choices and them be the right ones; add in too not getting ripped off in the process. I DIY's watch Million Dollar Contractor and see what Stephen Fanuka goes through at times.. Also, just wanted to point out, I kind of get why Heather wanted a few accolades from Terry on what she's been doing considering their storyline has been he was the one that really wanted a large OTT house. He wants it and she gets the project by default because she's at home. My friend went through similar, she/he wanted the reno, but he was away on business for days it all fell onto her and ironically his job is oversrring construction projects.
  2. Hearing about chili with potatoes in it-- aka .'Michigan Chili' , was a new one to me.
  3. Ahh, that makes sense Juliet liking Caroline's hse. Caroline's hse is more Northbrook & Highland Park. I have no problem with if somebody says "I'm from Northbrook, a burb of Chicago" as an identifier over I'm from Chicago and then have to say Evanston. Sugar Grove , etc.
  4. I'm trying to figure out something, Marissa said she's gone to the singing of Chistmas carols at Royal Albert Hall for the past 3 ot 4 yrs...This is the first time her friend Juliet has heard about it and was never invited in the past? As for Juliet trying to gain an entree in British society, no different from people trying to get into NYC society--or like as well, it really helps w/ contacts & networking for business reasons. I didn't catch it the first time, but I noticed Caroline Fleming's Chelsea townhse was really wide. It was also on the right side of the frontdoor as well. That place is worth some serious $$. Noticed something funny, when Caroline F almost dropped her dog and caught it, the next shot shows something going quickly past the bottom of her kitchen window. I couldn't tell if it was a person bent over or a car w/Christams tree on top. Loved the uniquness of the glass and metal Bistro shelf going down the center of Caroline F's DR table, .I wonder if it was free standing or fit into gooves on the tabletop?
  5. I think Ryan has an authoritarian personality which I really dislike as a personality trait and do not like or enjoy being around those people, but I'm not a fan of piling on with things like he's abusing/controlling Briana, Briama can't have a housekeeper because of him, he makes Briana work, etc. If you haven't noticed Briana has a pretty strong personality of her own having survived Vicki. Now you're speculating/projecting how his kids may be subject to his rage in the future....and his smirk Oy Hmm, Ryan has rage, but Vicki has outbursts - do you think the people that are in Vicki's scope think it's fun when she goes off on them? I was throwing shade about Vicki abusing Donn doing what some others here have speculated about Ryan. No I don;t think Vicki abused Donn. As for Lydia's mom Judy, I thought she was a selfish, entitled princess who could do what she wanted--remember she was so into herself she smoked weed so often when Lydia was a kid she wasn't their a parent. Now that is abuse...ignoring you child!
  6. I'll agree she does get some , but at the same time she also get 'Oh there goes that Vicki again" and her antics pass. Replace Vicki w/Ryan in the 'family van' and I don't think there would be laughing at his meltdown, Ryan had a meltdoen over what Judy did and hurting her fe-fe's and some people wanted him drummed out of the Marines. Ryan gets hit with he's abusing Briana.and she's afraid not to do what he says. Did anybody ever say maybe Vicki is abusing Donn and he's afraid of her? Nope Just a few posts back there was speculation about Briana not getting a housekeeper because Ryan is so controlling.
  7. My friend has a son-in-law in the army--he make lower five figures under $30K, her daughter makes upper-end of five figures, but because he's been deplyed and other perks like a housing allowance, some of his his income is not taxed, so my friend has said in the end they both make about they same.
  8. Curious, because Ryan made Lydia's mom sad yelling at her, he has rage issues and we 'know' he must be mistreating/abusing/controlling Briana. He's the scum of the earth etc Now Vicki has controlled her kids, raged, and been nasty to castmates season after season--same w/Tamar, yet because they're both female that's okay behavior and we're amused by it? Why doesn't Vicki get the same vitrol? Kind of like two guys punching each other is bad, but 2 women slapping and pulling each other's hair is cute thinking?
  9. I do too, I like how she allows Juliet to give/call her out on her shit
  10. Curious, if Ryan is so controlling, why is he 'allowing' Vicki to visit them every few weeks. Usually a very controlling raging personality wants wife to be cut off from all family. For that matter, he's 'allowing' Briana to work. He's 'allowing' her to travel too. Ryan has a military direct personality, you don't move up through the ranks--and career being milquetoast. So no, Ryan doesn't take any shit from Vicki. Also, could it be at the restaurant the kid acts up when not near a parent so that's why Vicki asked if she could have him knowing his parents can read him? And no, Vicki should not the the 'person' who decides where they live.
  11. Seems like the team is meshing a lot better on lastnight's show. Liked bawdy Lisa Rinna as a guest. Speaking of bawdy comments, I think Margaret Cho, is fulfilling the Joan Rivers role quite well.
  12. Looking at it from a different perspecive, IMO, it was rather smart mentioning the amount they(Terry & Heather) are putting up of their own money for the skincare line, meaning we believe in this product so much we're willing to lose a million if it's a flop. Smart too if it's a success, they collect the profits Sine T & H have been on Evine about once a month or so since its debut in Apr, I'd say it's doing well.
  13. I agree, Briana and Ryan don't care for Brooks for whatever reason and that's their business. I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot, controlling Vicki would sever all ties w/Briana until Briana acquiesed to all her demands. Also, Vicki grew up in IL outside of Chicago...she's familiar with tornadoes-if she grew up in the OC I could understand, Same w/me living in Chicago and earthquakes, we occasionally get a minor tremor but nothing ever like what they experience in CA.
  14. I believed when the table was unveiled they were coming through tarps/sheeting on the doorway--so yes while the rest of the hse could have been dusty, that room could have been clean, esp so if worked was stopped a few days before the lucheon. The caters most likely prepared food off-site and brought it over in proofing ovens and had a kitchen setup in a tent outside.,
  15. It looks like the main house has 11. The other 2 must be in structures on the property Really surprised no bathroom near catering kitchen. Also only one maid's room ...and in the basement. I've read you usually need 1 person for every 3,000 sq ft Small elevator Notice 11 car garage is 'subterranean' I also think Shannon was making a joke about Heather 's 14 batheooms being OTT compared to her having only 13.
  16. For those that remember... This Chicago condo bldg was featured on HH a few yrs back and the couple ended up buying a unit in the bldg.. What was unique about the bldg is that the whole back area was multiple raised tennis courts you could access from your unit. Looks like it's being torn done. http://cribchatter.com/?p=22453
  17. Alcohol and sugar have empty calories--meaning no real nutritional value, so for somebody fighting cancer it's important they eat the most nutrious food they can.only becuse they may not be utilizing it the same as somebody healthy. In my head, I can just imagine how Heather would be dealing with her errant twins and punishing them if they'd done similar...,it wouldn't be antrhing like what we saw happen with Shannon & David. Heather's wo would probably be suffering from PTSD for months to come. Loved the WWHL clip with Meg & Vicki on next week's show - if Vicki can dish it out concerning Meg's stepdaughter & parenting, Meg can do the same to Vicki w/Brooks.
  18. The wife didn't like it in the living room so that why it was moved. Also, yes old mantel was 'dated'==I say classic, but what it was replaced with was just so generic for the $ spent.
  19. Chicago/Lincoln Park couple tonight I'll take a stereotypical Chicago accent any day over the sound the wife was emitting. Super annoying
  20. Most likely better tax avantages by doing so. Or maybe it's a wash finacially between the two, but working out of home is just more convienient for Jeff. Also, I know the sofas weren't the issue in the arguemt, but either way I thought they were too big/overscaled for that room
  21. Hmm, I'm now wondering if the hat is covering the hair plugs? Lu's date Thomas Roberts has a husband, so I'm guessing the Countess' cooch didn't get any that night from him. ;-) I don't think new place really looks all that much different from her old place where ex Jason is living; http://www.traditionalhome.com/design/beautiful-homes/and-after-bethenny-frankels-remodeled-tribeca-loft?page=2
  22. Thomas Roberts is an MSNBC mid-day show anchor, He does or did appear on MSNBC's Morning Joe too. He'd be known as a 'walker' in LuAnn's world. From the way LuAnn was acting IMO, she comes off as more jealous she didn't get Adam. Didn't the reunion teaser clip shown on WWHL show during the Carole & LuAnn confrontation about Adam Lu saying... "and you don'r sleep with the help"?
  23. Vicki's Brianna is going to get some shit because she said she didn't like OK. Interesting Jeff Lewis getting let go from the furniture store after them viewing the episode,
  24. RE Buffalo Guys I can see some future owner doing a 'What were they thinking?" Who puts reclaimed wood in a Victorian? Flr tile layout okay in coffee shop, not so much in a home kitchen For those that remember it, I flashed on the old Apartment Life(later Metropolitan Home) magazine from the 70's and how their kitchen reminded me of a DIY feature in the magazine about how to 'hip' up your kitchen. I did like the cement bthroom sink the arhitect designed.
  25. If remembering correctly, didn't Brianna really not like Donn--or weren't very close early on, and then became closer through the years.
