  1. Just saw a commercial on Bravo: “Project Runway is back.....where it belongs.” nothing about a premiere date....
  2. Not only that, I get such a "mean girl" vibe from them when they're talking. They were trying to act all concerned about LuAnn, but they were positively gleeful about her arrest. Carole said someone sent her the video of LuAnn - I call BS on that, she probably hit Google as soon as she heard LuAnn was arrested. And Tinsley - "oh, I know I shouldn't have, but I invited her over for a drink with my mother" "Oh, you didn't.." Hee Hee Hee. Could they be anymore immature? Tinsley acts like a 12 year old pretty much all the time, and makes no attempt to hide it, but Carole likes to present herself as worldly and sophisticated. But every now and then, the real Carole seeps through.
  3. I honestly am at the point where I think that Bethenny has no social skills whatsoever. Sure she can run her business and charities and make speeches, but I just don't think she is capable of 1:1 conversations or relationships. With Jill, you express your sympathy, maybe say you'll call her in a few days, ,and move on. That's all she had to do. I doubt Bethenny has many close friends at all. Her deepest conversations seem to be with her driver.
  4. That's a lovely sentiment from LuAnn. Just for informational purposes, according to the Daily Mail (which has pictures of everyone and anyone entering the service), there was no sign of Andy.
  5. Unfortunately , I don’t think he could run fast enough or far enough away. Not with the Tinsley Twits on his tail - one with a lasso and the other with the container of frozen eggs. Scott is doomed.
  6. Her point is that she’s such a great writer, she can phone it in at the last minute. So over Carole and her ego.
  7. Good grief - another segment on the eggs and wedding dresses. No one cares, Tinsley. And the sobbing over the eggs. I’m close to turning on The Middle reruns.
  8. Tinsley and her mother are just ridiculous. Trying on wedding dresses. Baby booties in her stocking. And Tinsley can stop screeching any time. (And no Carole, it’s not a “Southern” thing.)
  9. He clearly was having enjoying himself.. He should smile more - his smile is wonderful, and it was nice to see him having so much fun. I liked his family too, especially the cousin who gave the “brunch” answer. I also liked when Steve Harvey asked his cousin what she did and she replied “whatever Kanye wants”. They all seemed down to earth. Did anyone else catch him high fiving some of the audience members after they won the $25000.
  10. Kim’s White House visit paid off. Alice Marie Johnson’s sentence has been commuted.
  11. I was hoping for "Back in the USSR". : )
  12. Also wondering what is up with Sally/Doctor. I didn't expect that. Sorry to see Imposters cancelled. I really like it because it's different than anything else I've seen on TV and manages to combine humor with suspense. Really sorry to see this one go. ETA: Just read that the last espisode is next week - June 7. I can't imagine they'll wrap everything up in just one more episode - the article even says this upcoming episode was not intended as a series finale. http://www.ibtimes.com/imposters-canceled-after-2-seasons-bravo-may-be-shopped-elsewhere-2686523 “Imposters” had a solid start in the spring of 2017. According to Deadline, the show’s Season 1 averaged more than 1.4 million total viewers per episode, garnering what Bravo called the fastest in-season growth of any new scripted series on ad-supported cable with a 23 percent increase in adults 18-49 from the first half of the season to the second. When factoring in delayed viewing, the show’s freshman run was among the top 10 cable show in the all-important demo. Unfortunately, when the show returned a year later for a second season, it lost a chunk of its live viewership. Though “Imposters” was already cancelled at Bravo, the show may still find a new home. Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that production company Universal Cable Productions may try to shop the series elsewhere, with Netflix a possibility. Sources noted that the show have reportedly performed better on the streaming giant than on its original home at Bravo.” I think having to wait a year between seasons for shows today is a problem and I personally hate it. Back in the day, the network shows debuted in the fall, ran through the spring, with the new season picking up again the following fall. Now it's a show with 5-6 episodes, and a year in between seasons and people just lose interest. I have - not with this show, but with others. A year later, I can barely remember where some shows left off.
  13. This was the one thing that bothered me too, because I didn't feel like it was true to Stan's character. Essentially, by letting them escape, he betrayed his agency and his country. That just didn't seem like something he would have done.
  14. Bold mine. Oh, so are the ones in my family. I should have made that clearer. Dollar store items work, too. As for regifting, yes, that too - A favorite expression in my family is "I guess it's going in the grab bag next year".
  15. And somewhere, Kathy Griffin is kicking herself, saying "Damn, I could have blamed it on Ambien..."
  16. And...most boring holiday party ever! No wonder Carole "looked sad" - because she gave up an evening to be at that snooze-fest. My family used to play a variation of that game for years and we had alot more fun. Everyone brought 4-5 gifts - you could regift, buy gag gifts, nice things - as long as there was a combination of nice and gag. They had to be wrapped in newspaper, so they all looked alike. (My mom made the rules, we just went with it because that is always easiest). Then we would take turns spinning dice. If you threw a 5, let's say, you grabbed a gift from the pile. (or if other people had already grabbed gifts, you could take one of theirs). You did not unwrap it. We went around until all the gifts were claimed. When it was over, we unwrapped all the gifts. It was fun because there was always that one item, that "looked" like it might be something good and everyone fought for it. Then there was always that crappy item that got thrown in year after year. Or like your husband would reach for a crappy gift that you wrapped, and you'd be like "no, not that one". Reading this, it sounds sort of silly - but it was fun!
  17. Bethenny's blog is the first one up. Very short. The "headline" is "Bethenny Frankel: We All Have to Hit Bottom to Get Somewhere" - one might think she is referring to her issues with Carole, or maybe she finally sees how she is coming across, but no, that's a reference to Lu's being arrested. "As far as Luann, I am truly sorry for her having to experience that, get to that low point, and have to see herself that way in this episode. However, that helped with her incredible comeback. We all have to hit bottom to get somewhere. I’m sure she is also sorry to the Palm Beach Police Department for the entire spectacle." What a stupid comment. She's sorry Lu was arrested, but it helped with her "incredible comeback" - oh, and she is also "sure" that Lu is sorry to the police department. I'm sure Lu is grateful that she let them know that. Re: the phone call with Ramona: "That phone conversation was very negative, upsetting, and certainly not constructive, but life goes on." As is much of Bethenny's behavior to the other cast members when she's insulting them or screaming at them like a banshee- "negative, upsetting and certainly not constructive". Most of the rest of it is about the Nutcracker. "I am grateful to Dorinda for connecting me with that lovely gentleman Michael via group text. He was incredible." A half hearted thank you to Dorinda. Then there is this: "This is the year when kids in her class begin saying that there is no Santa and the parents are the ones hiding the gifts, so I wanted to go out of my way to find something special. I mean that concept is ludicrous after all. Can you imagine parents hiding gifts? It’s, frankly, preposterous." What is she talking about? What is so "ludicrous" about parents hiding gifts? Parents have been doing it for generations. Maybe she's trying for sarcasm. I don't know. Edited to add this gem: "I am sorry that I couldn’t make it to the blood drive, but none of us could give blood, so I figured cash cards was the best way for me to contribute." Missing the entire point of why the women were there to begin with. None of them could give blood, but they all showed up to support LuAnn (even Carole, whose relationship with Lu isn't all that great), because their presence brings publicity to the drive and might actually result in a few more donors. Though the cash cards were nice, it wasn't about $$$, it was about visible support for one of your castmates.
  18. Exactly! There's a reason why Bethenny doesnt have many girlfriends and the reason is Bethenny. I was glad Ramona lit into her on the phone. For too long the rest of them have tip-toed around her - it's about time some of them at least begin calling her out on her behavior towards them. Bethenny's little digs, which she thinks are so witty and amusing, are just mean.
  19. This!! But that's water under the bridge. I thought the ending was well done- I liked that it was subtle with no real shocks or twists, yet plenty of suspenseful moments (although for some reason, at one point, I was wondering if we were going to see Stan speak Russian to someone on a telephone : ) ) Never cared about Paige, so I didn't care that she got off the train - I assume she had enough money to get back to DC, where she can either get in touch with Stan and Henry, or call Pastor Groovy Hair and join him in Argentina. Involving her in this was a bad decision from the start, both for the direction of the show, and for the Jenningese. Did they really think an 18 year old American girl was going to whoop it up in Russia? Of course she wasn't going to go. It has always been clear that Paige never really understood what being a spy was all about. I thought the scene where Stan confronts the Jenningses (only to let them walk) was very well done. I could feel the tension, and part of me was waiting for Elizabeth to shoot him. And I thought the last 15 or so minutes, with the montage of scenes done without any speaking was well done as well. They did leave the Renee question open, and I did wonder why, in spite of what Philip told him, Stan reacted to her the way he did - covering her, watching her sleep, hugging her. Perhaps his need for her outweighs any doubts. Stan ends the show as a very conflicted man, having betrayed his country and his agency. For a dedicated, career FBI agent, it's going to take him some time to reconcile that, if he ever can. (The only thing I would have really liked was Martha picking up the Jenningses when they entered Russia. Or a "1 year" later scene where Philip runs into her in the grocery store.- J/K - it was fine the way it ended.)
  20. Because it can’t be said enough: Shut up Paige. They should take Henry and leave her. She’ll whine all the way to Moscow.
  21. Well, we know she's "big". V mentioned that twice. Yes!!!!
  22. I’m out too. I thought the finale was terrible, I was bored throughout. V has a gun to a child’s head, and Eve drops her gun, and then lets her get away - for the second time? (I’m losing count). Then in the hotel, she drops the gun again, only to stab her, and somehow in the process, she lets her escape again. One would hope to never have to depend on Eve in a crisis situation. I get that there is some kind of connection between them, but I don’t care anymore.
  23. Yes, I thought the same thing. And IIRC, Clay was inside the school telling the others not to call the police because he could handle this....and he goes out to confront an armed shooter all by himself. Really? What superpower does he possess that he would even remotely consider that as a good idea? For that matter, why would the writers even think to intimate in any way, shape or form, that this was a plausible reaction to an armed student showing up at a school? You call the police, you run, hide, lock doors, barricade, etc. You don't go out and confront the person. Not in any scenario. Bold is mine. This is a good point. Instead of repercussions, we got to see the kid that went to a behavioral camp to try to manage his issues, come back to school, try to get along, and get raped. What was the point (other than trying to pull a third season out of this)? What message are they sending, especially, as you said, to people who might be in similar situations? As far as a third season, I'm out. I think they should have ended it after episode 12. It's getting too heavy handed for me and I'm tired of it. I don't need to be punched in the gut. (And on a totally unrelated note, I could have done without Ghost Hanna. She started to annoy me early on, and I found her conversations with Clay boring after a while. It would have been sufficient to show her in the flashbacks. I get that we're supposed to see Clay struggling with who Hanna really was, but I think we would have gotten that without Ghost Hanna.)
  24. http://variety.com/2018/tv/news/designated-survivor-kiefer-sutherland-abc-drama-canceled-1202807925/ A little more information - Keifer's contract apparently stipulated that the show would be moved to LA for season 3 (seasons 1 and 2 were filmed in Toronto.) According to Variety, this would have added to the production costs of a show that was already on the high-end, cost-wise. Also "A source close to the situation said Sutherland was frustrated by the creative twists and turns that the series took — shifts that were no surprise given the number of changes behind the scenes. David Guggenheim created the political drama about a cabinet member who becomes President under duress after a terrorist attack takes out the previous President and the rest of his cabinet. But given the rotating lineup of showrunners, the show zig-zagged from being a political thriller to a more earnest look at the struggles of Sutherland’s Tom Kirkman and his family amid the fishbowl of living in the White House." “Designated Survivor” earned a straight-to-series order from ABC, in part because of the profile that Sutherland brought to the show. Amy Harris was tapped to serve as showrunner but she was replaced by Jon Harmon Feldman before production began on the first season. Jeff Melvoin took over from Feldman about halfway through season one. Keith Eisner then came on board when the show was renewed for its second season and stayed at the helm throughout, although the search for showrunner No. 5 for the anticipated third season began several months ago." 5 showrunners in two seasons????? No wonder the show never seemed to find its focus!
  25. And do away with the whole Hannah storyline - which just distracts from the rest of the show. Either you're going to do a show about a President and his staff (ala West Wing), or you're going to do a show about Super FBI agent Hannah. Mixing the two didn't work, and at times I felt like I was watching two different shows in the same hour. I found myself getting very annoyed when they cut away from the White House/political activity to bring us another Hannah scene.
